Wild Flour Bake Shop is a charming and cozy cafe tucked away in what seems to be an industrial area of Clarksville Tennessee. Despite its surprising location, this hidden gem is well worth the visit. Traveling all the way from California, I chose this spot based on its Yelp reviews, and it exceeded every expectation. First and foremost: banana bread French toast. Just four words, but they sum up an unforgettable dish that was as visually stunning as it was delicious. The rich, moist banana bread was perfectly griddled, then topped with just the right amount of sweetness to create a heavenly combination of flavors. It's a must-try item that alone justifies the trip. The Cuban sandwich was impressive. Made with shredded pork, Virginia ham, Genoa salami, Swiss cheese, mayo/mustard, and dill pickles, it was a flavorful masterpiece. I've had my fair share of Cuban sandwiches, including in Miami, but this one was better--bold, & savory. Another standout was the Pimento and Bacon Grilled Cheese, which was packed with rich, smoky flavor. The combination of creamy pimento cheese and crispy bacon created a satisfying sandwich that felt indulgent yet comforting. The Hangover Bowl was another delightful surprise--hearty and packed with bold breakfast flavors, perfect for starting the day right. A special shoutout goes to our waitress, Jasmarie (apologies if I misspelled her name). She was sweet, attentive, and happy to offer helpful suggestions, making the experience even more enjoyable. If you haven't visited Wild Flour Bake Shop yet, stop by--you're in for a treat. This place deserves much more recognition for its incredible food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. I had heard about Wildflour before and decided I wanted to try it. My ladies group decided to make it a meet up for brunch on Sunday. The café is very small. Seating is at a premium. They require the entire party to be there at the time of seating. This is not a place ideal for a large group. That being said, however, it's very quaint and homey. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. I elected to have a hot Earl Grey tea while I was waiting for my other friends. The menu is pretty straightforward and simple. They offer a Cuban sandwich that I had to try. I know a good Cuban sandwich when I see one so seeing that on the menu was just too much of a temptation. The overall flavor profile of the sandwich was pretty good. The bread is not Cuban bread though. It's hard to come by up here in Tennessee. The bread they use is more of a dense bread, but it works well with the sandwich. My only other complaint is that the roast pork doesn't have taste of Mojo Criollo as I expect. It's just a little bit on the bland side. Otherwise, the portion is generous and very filling. I could only manage to eat half the sandwich. It comes with your choice of chips or breakfast potatoes. I opted for the breakfast potatoes, but I couldn't eat a bite of it. I was so full. I took the rest home. Most everybody in our group of four was pleased with their meal. Only one of us had over medium eggs that had a distinct off-fishy taste to it. She could not eat them. Otherwise, we had a very good experience. It would be nice to see this place open in a bigger venue where more people can enjoy what is offered. They are quite busy from what we can see. So maybe it's a matter of time. Would definitely like to try again and see what their other offerings are like. Probably won't with the group as it is too small for our usual numbers of attendees. read more

I always enjoy dining here. It's become a popular spot making the wait long occasionally, but it's worth it! We have our favorites, but everything on the menu is good. I'm glad the new owners added a kids menu! My little guy ate everything. He had the French Toast with bacon ... and sausage added! I wish I also got a side of fruit or something for him. Ha. My hubby tried a new dish and I had the Brisket Hash. So tasty. Good portion size. I always have to take some home in a small box. We have been struggling to find a GREAT breakfast place in the Clarksville area, we have tried many. The WILD FLOUR BISTRO was suggested to us by a fellow facebooker on the Clarksville Chat. However, when you google them, the search results can be confusing. leading one to believe they are ONLY a "bake shop" or only serve brunch. But we searched their photos and could see they have many breakfast meal options! Saturday we dropped into the "WILD FLOUR" for breakfast. We got there at 8am, we were welcomed by a couple of the owners Brian & Heather, very nice. Their breakfast selections & specials were very diverse. We each had something different, "The Hangover", "The Cuban", "Traditional French Toast" & "Hamburger". The portion sizes were more than sufficient and the quality of food was AMAZING! The restaurant was more reminiscent of a Canadian truck stop than an idyllic pasture as the name Wild Flour suggests. The waiting operation is ridiculous. They need to have an electronic system that takes customers phone number until they have an available table or the order is ready. I didn't feel as welcomed by the staff. They were so busy I didn't seem to matter. The food was delicious tho. I even came when they first open on 12/1/2024 at 8am and Honestly as a black woman I don't like the attitude/ energy I'm given when I go. They act like they annoyed with me or something and all I did was come in. Like I'm a paying customer that was here first and this how yall act?! I definitely felt the hidden racism or unwanted animosity. The only mixed fair skinned black girl they had working to serve me didn't have the best attitude either. I'm a paying customer just like everyone else and I deserve the same welcome energy you give to the white people as well. The owner was super welcoming to white people but not to me as a black woman. The food is good but black people be aware. They definitely were giving "Get OUT " energy. It's sad we still deal with racism at this day and age but it is the cost of being black in America.
