Great AYCE (all you can eat) sushi option in Tampa! Service was so-so, definitely felt that either the waiter was too preoccupied with other tables, or newer to serving. Food was great, especially for an AYCE. Clean and nice restaurant that was worth the trip!

Very quick service, hibachi was very good and the AYCE was definitely worth the price!

Not worth taking photos of their offerings. I had the AYCE option, which I've never done before. I didn't enjoy any of the sushi. None of it came out right. It was all very room temp and everything tasted off. I had gyoza and a soup beforehand that were fine. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor would I return.

My fiancé and I were attending a wedding ceremony nearby and needed to grab a quick bite to eat. I found Shogun on Yelp and was so happy I did. While they do offer all-you-can-eat sushi, they also offer a la carte ordering. I got my favorite go to sushi, a salmon avocado roll and scallop nigiri. My fiancé ordered the hibachi chicken. This came with soup, salad, and a choice of rice or noodles. It took a long time for us to order. My fiancé needed to stop by the men's store next door for a belt and I had planned to order for him, however, no one would make eye contact with me or come up to me. Right before I got up to ask to order, my fiancé came back in and they immediately came to our table to take our order. I wonder if this had something to do with the all-you-can-eat rules (even though we weren't participating in this). It wasn't too big of a deal in the end because we made our wedding in time. My fiancé was really happy with his chicken, he pretty much finished every last bite of the plate. My sushi was incredible. The salmon was absolutely delicious and really good quality. I'm drooling writing about how yummy that roll was. The scallop was pretty good too. They had clean women's and men's restrooms. Since this is located in a strip mall, there is plenty of easy, free parking out front. I'd recommend grabbing a meal at Shogun.

Came here for Valentine's Day and was delightfully happy with the service and the food for this very busy holiday. I usually hate going out for busy days like Valentine's Day, but we sat at a booth that was perfect and not horribly loud and I was able to still carry on a conversation. We ordered different food from each area of the menu. My favorites were the pepper tuna, sashimi, Naruto roll(no rice), and the sesame balls. I surely loved many of the items I ordered and happily stayed away from rice so I did not feel heavily full. I usually h dislike AYCE because it's just too much food, but I really loved our dinner experience here. I would come back again and I think it was well worth the price for all of the sashimi and sushi ate. They were also better quality ones compared to another place I recently ate. Note, I did purposely stay away from many sushi bc when I saw them they were so big and so much rice. I'm glad I chose that route. My husband had the hibachi and noodles and he really enjoyed them. It was perfect for both of us!

I have been to other all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants and they have all lacked the quality and variety of Shogun. First things first: this is not a buffet so diners don't have to worry about other restaurant patrons touching or sneezing on the food. Instead of filling a plate at the buffet diners sit at their table and request individual food items to be freshly made, ensuring hot, fresh cooked items and fresh sushi are all delivered to your table at the perfect temperature. As a family of four, we usually spend well over $150 on takeout sushi at other restaurants , but at Shogun we spend less than $100 and we receive such a wider variety of food. If you are not looking to eat all that you can there is an a-la-carte option, but if you plan to order multiple dishes the AYCE price is well worth it in my opinion. My boys are 4 and 7 so they are only charged the children's price and it seems like such a bargain because my oldest can easily put away four sushi rolls and they both love sashimi tuna. My husband and I always start our meal with a cup of soup, pork gyoza, and vegetable tempura. My kids love the edamame and crab rangoon. We usually eat the smaller size portions so that we can try a variety of food. Depending on my mood I might order the seaweed salad or cucumber salad. The chicken and shrimp hibachi are always great, but I found the steak a little chewier than I prefer. The coconut curry chicken is also amazing and I have been trying different sushi rolls on each visit. The love roll, NY roll, and the green dragon are a few of my favorites. My boys always end the meal with the ice cream cups. I'm not a huge fan of the tempura cheesecake so I prefer to order more pork gyoza as my "dessert" and my husband likes the tamago. We have been dining at Shogun for four months now and love watching our kids slowly expand their food palate!

Beautiful new restaurant that took over the old Hao Wah on Dale mabry! They remodeled the place and it's very clean and beautiful! The all you can eat menu $33 for dinner and is a pretty good deal! My husband and I agreed the sushi was very fresh and absolutely worth the price! It even included sashimi and nigiri which was great. Would skip on the "hot foods" they were just okay, make sure to fill up on the sushi!!!

AYCE in Tampa bay! First off service was amazing. Our server put in our orders quickly and was very attentive when it came to noticing when I wanted to order, asking for a refill and confirming my orders. The bussers and the rest of the servers who gave out orders were quick as well and confirmed our dishes with each order that came out which I appreciated a lot. When you walk in the place is huge. On the ceiling it had 2 large fish which were beautiful. You can sit at the bar or at your own table and even with a table for two we had lots of room for food. It was also very clean. The food is the main reason I gave a 3 star Instead of 5. For an AYCE the menu was small and many of the rolls consisted of tempura shrimp. The nigiri and rolls had a bit too much rice and not enough fish for me, but I did like the taste of the nigiri that I did have. I had tuna, super white tuna and salmon. I'd rather get those over the basic rolls as there was a lot less fish to the rolls. I think the signature rolls were okay. My partner loved the gorilla roll and I was a fan of the Tampa roll, but over all were lack luster. Every roll could use more fish, less cream cheese and more sauce. The only roll I didn't like at all was the Hawaiian roll. The mango with the soy paper wasn't a good combo for me. The sides were amazing though. Fresh sesame balls that were bite size. I got 4 orders. Gyoza was delicious and the green muscles although were small tasted great. I like the takoyaki the first time they came out. They were hot and had a small amount of octopus so it wasn't overwhelming but the second time we ordered them they were almost cold. Dessert was good! We had green tea ice cream and chocolate ice cream. You can't really go wrong with that. For 32 dollars a person I wouldn't say it's the best, but the sides + the great service might have me come back another time.

This newly open AYCE is great for south Tampa community. This is only sushi AYCE at this area. The place is big with large dinning hall. The restaurant has lunch and dinner price on the different time that you plan to visit. They have many choices on the food. It start with the app for different tataki and raw fish salad. It also has kitchen hot appetizers. The entry include different sushi, no sashimi at lunch. The roll start with classic roll and hand roll. The special roll are their signature roll. Then the kitchen teriyaki and tempura. The final is the dessert ice cream and soup. I am recommending the pepper tuna. It is one of the best dish in the appetizers and main menu. The appetizers I am recommending are the mango salmon, gyoza, and salmon skin salad. For the roll, I recommend the shogun roll. It has the torch salmon on top. I also recommend the spicy girl, crawfish roll, and double spicy roll. Service is good. Food come out quick. Not much of wait.

3 things about that place: 1. This is a new unlimited sushi place that is located in Tampa. The atmosphere was very nice with amazing interior. All the employees were friendly with a greeting smile on their faces. 2. There are a variety of items on the dinner menu for $32.99 which is a reasonable price. From appetizers to sushi rolls to desserts, they have everything you can ask for. All the items came out in a reasonable time and did not have to wait long. 3. Sashimi were very very fresh which I was very surprised about! Flavors for all the items were fantastic except for the hibachi fried rice. The flavor for that was pretty bland and could have had more seasoning. Shrimp tempura was okay, not the best I've had and too much batter. Other than those, everything was good with phenomenal experience. Overall, one of the best unlimited sushi spots I've been to in Tampa and I don't know if it's because this is a new spot, but will check this place out again in few months. Highly recommend to people who don't know which place to go to or indecisive.

This is a newer place with an "All You Can Eat Menu" for both lunch and dinner. So the price is not bad at all when you get to keep ordering. Apps: Edemama was good, pretty typical Gyoza was good also Peppered Tuna was meh. Lacked flavor. Rolls: Spicy tuna, seemed to lack flavor a bit but was decent. Volcano roll is a California roll with lot of extra stuff on top. Good flavor Godzilla roll is a fried roll that has a sweet mango sauce. Definitely adds a different flavor but it was good. Not pictured is a Monster Roll. Also good but forgot to get a pic. Soy sauce is odd. Waitress said it's homemade and not salty. Sure enough, it tastes like a very watered down, non salty version. Not very good in my opinion. Luckily the food was decent enough not to need it. Not sure if we would go back. Service was great and the price makes it nice.

To go bag. Their to go business is amazingly good tbh

South Tampa's Newest Sushi AYCE You know I have to let you know, as soon as I found out that there is a new legit sushi and all-you-can-eat spot opening. And, you know how super picky I am about sushi. Grand Opening Special - FREE Sushi Taco Set until Nov 1st ‼ Locally owned and operated by some of the most innovative chefs in the area, I was definitely impressed by even the hot dishes and hibachi items on the AUCE menu. You don't have to drive all the way out of town for all you can eat sushi now, because they are located right off of 275 in South Tampa. Plenty of free parking behind building as well as in front. My favorites are their: Pepper Tuna Sushi Tacos Takoyaki Sashimi Great service, even during soft opening. Love the atmosphere here. The glass chimes on the ceiling create the most zen vibe.

Great AYCE at South Tampa . Clean , ambience is great . Food was tasty and fresh . Staff were very friendly . We had a great time and tried so many items , def will be back .

The staff and owner were very friendly and personable and the food was even better! I ordered the gyoza (this is fried and the filling is an in-house recipe pork filling, might be different from your regular gyoza but still yummy and worth trying), and had the Nigiri Flight which was amazing! I'll let the picture speak for itself, but you need to come in and try it for yourself. The fish was fresh and each one was better than the other. I even loved the tamago (which they prepare in house) and I normally am not a fan of it. All the nigiri were well sized and super filling, I could have done without the dumplings and the salad, and still would have been more than satisfied. The place is also very well decorated and styled, I truly think they hit all the points with food, service, and ambience. You can tell the owner puts his heart and soul into this place and it shows in the food and your time there. It was a very pleasant experience and I am so happy to have found Isekai!

Fantastic lunch here on a recent visit to Tampa for business…read more As a Los Angeles resident who has spent 1/2 my time in Hawaii for work, I am an acclaimed sushi snob. I was excited by the great reviews on Yelp -- and was so happy that this place lived up to the hype! The fish was excellent -- fresh, well cut, super tasty. The toro was rich and delicious, the salmon and snapper fresh and pure, and as noted by others, the seasoned sushi rice with the accoutrements in the bowl (seaweed salad, thinly sliced pickled radish and carrot, and masago) made for an elevated lunch. I really appreciated the flexibility and options around my celiac disease (sushi can be tough because of the wheat in most soy sauce) -- including the kind note they attached saying the subbed some extra toro and masago for the Iburi which had been marinated in soy sauce. Lastly, I usually much prefer to eat-in for sushi (a sushi bar is my 2nd home), but really appreciate the details they put into the Uber Eats takeout package -- dressed it nice with shiso leaf and shaved radish AND have it all placed on little ice packs to keep the fish cold on their commute from the Chef's Knife to my belly. Great experience overall.

Amazing even for takeout…read more I'm going to rank the dishes in the order that I enjoyed them. 1. Crying Tiger. This is grilled marinated Ny sirloin strip served with Laotian sticky rice, pickled daikon and carrots. 10/10. The meat was so exceptionally tender, even reheated the next day. I loved the sticky rice. My youngest son loved it too, so it was a huge winner. 2. Crispy Volcano Chicken. I really enjoyed this as well. It has the outside that reminds me of orange chicken. 3. Green Papaya Salad. I'm a huge papaya salad fan and this one really hit the spot. I'm the only one in my family who eats it, but I feel healthy when I do and it's delicious. 4. Fried chicken wings - they were plump and the entire family enjoyed this. The two dishes that were good, but I'd skip next time are the chicken satay (this sat around in our fridge for a while) and the black dragon roll which was good, but I think their non sushi dishes really shine. It said the food would be ready in 30 minutes (we ordered online) and when we picked up about 30 minutes later it was ready. It's super easy to park since it's a large parking lot and run in and out. I will definitely be getting more takeout from here for my family.

We had red and panang curry as our entree. Both were well spiced and delicious. Lots of vegan options. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. The vibe is cozy with pop music, a bar you can eat at, and tvs showing delicious food.

Giving it 3 because in the past we have always had a great experience, but this time was so bad…read more Food took forever, which was disappointing because it's always been fast in the past, even when the place was packed. Appetizer was almost cold by the time it got to our table. The drinks took forever to come out, and I ordered the same thing both times; the first was fine (different looking and tasting from all the times I've had it before), and the second was undrinkable. I tried to flag down the waiter for a replacement, but at that point we had already paid and the hassle of waiting 20 more minutes for a drink that might be bad wasn't even worth waiting for the waiter to come back (which he didn't, even though he had walked past twice and not looked in our direction). Really disappointed after having a great experience every time in the past. Sushi did taste as great as always, it was just overshadowed by the nasty drink and slow service. I don't think we will return after this, even though this was our favorite spot prior.

Soho Sushi never disappoints, and this time was no different…read more *I opted to have my sushi delivered via DoorDash, so this is not an on-site review* SoHo roll (tuna, salmon + tempura chips, topped with roe) Mexican roll (Fried shrimp, avocado, and roe) Downtowner roll (tuna, salmon, cream cheese + avocado topped with roe and sesame seeds) I was in the mood for simple rolls instead of their more aesthetically pleasing, artistically arranged specialty rolls. Fish: always fresh and of the highest quality Rice: perfectly sticky, not over/under cooked Veggies: avocado is fresh and just sliced Toppings: the roe had just the right amount of flavor Construction: wrapped tightly and cleanly If highly suggest the Volcano & Lobstah Wagyu rolls; they are my favorites!
