Entrees for 2 with no beverages, ~ $20 :) Just finished a quick delicious meal at Wild Ginger. Husband & I are Thai food lovers and Curry is one of our go-to's. I got the Panang curry with veggies (medium, will order hot next time) , husband got the yellow curry (no spice) (not found under the curry section) it was on the following page of the menu and listed in "Thai". The portions are a little on the smaller side, but THE QUALITY & flavor profile is apparent! Our food was ready very quickly, About 15 minutes. Reason for taking away a Star: they charge $1.50 if you want to make "substitutions", which is a loss for me. I would of liked to order massaman curry, but am allergic to onion. The Thai Teas are also almost $5, which I think is expensive, but I noticed that it may be their way of keeping the costs down on the entrees! Our curries were $8.95 Each. GREAT PRICE! read more

I have purchased lunch from wild ginger at minimum twice a week for one year as they have really good Thai food but also because they are a small business. I always made a point to tip well even though they only offered pick up options for most of this period. Today i showed up to get lunch at the restaurant, alone, and was told it would be a few minutes for a table. A group of 4 came in 2-3 minutes after me and was seated immediately. Try the Panang Curry dishes, they are as authentic Thai as I have ever experienced. I eat mine at medium heat, but mild is okay and hot is for the adventurous. If you order it Thai Hot, you'd better be prepared for some fire! The ambience is perfect, with private booths and fairly quiet tables, it is a great place for a date. My friend says the Royal Chicken is the best and my wife loves the Crab Fried Rice with a side of Pork Dumplings. The Thai tea is also a hot with the wife. There are plenty of extremely good Thai restaurants in Colorado, particularly in the Denver metro area. This restaurant is not one of them. Minuscule portions, high price, weak flavor. Find another Thai place to eat today. The pineapple curry is not much more than a can of chopped pineapple with a splash of coconut milk and whatever meat you request. This was hardly edible, however my 1 year old enjoyed it (go figure). The drunken noodle are decent, but are frankly a swath of rice noodle with a limited amount of whatever meat or veggie you request. Flavor was ok at best. The green curry or Thai curry was weak, coconut milk destroyed any hint of curry that should have been included and the tofu was undercooked. Thai food is supposed to be a punch in your face of flavor and a good portion to boot. Not sure if this restaurant is drowning or or just lazy, either way it's a failure. read more

Went for dinner here tonight and had an awful experience. We ordered an appetizer plate with underfilled wontons on it and a spring roll that wasnt even fried, just fry, raw skin rolled up with fried egg filling. Awful. My boyfriend ordered the pad see ew medium and it was so hot he couldn't eat it. He eats habaneros like candy and couldnt handle this. when we asked to have the mild instead we were told we would have to pay full price for the new dish because we ordered it that way. I'm in the industry and know the food cost in that dish isn't even $4. so instead of fixing the problem for the customer they wanted to be right and charged me for the dish we didn't even eat "because they wasted product" What a scam! Sometimes the cost of business is making the customer happy, not being right. Horrible customer service and the food is even worse. They also referred to me as "the fat lady" when I was standing in front of them, assuming I didnt know the language. Tell all your friends/family to steer clear. This place is trash read more

On a repeat visit to this restaurant, the food was terrible. Very disappointing. Papaya Salad had no dressing at all and came back from the kitchen as hot when I ordered mild. Not able to eat it. My first taste of Thai food in Colorado & Wild Ginger quickly became one of my favorites! Started off with a Coconut brother soup for 2, sorry forgot the name, but it was excellent! Then I had the Chicken Pad Thai, while my wife had a Tofu Curry, and both dishes were phenomenal. The delicate flavors of the food were present in every bite & you can taste each fresh ingredient. Best Thai food in CO hands down! After visiting Thailand I have to say I like the Pad Thai from Wild Ginger even better. Moved away from CO a few years ago, recently came back to visit and I was pleasantly surprised that the quality and flavors in this place are still the same. My go to dish is always Pad Thai, I haven't had one as delicious. I love spicy food but I have to admit that Thai spices are another level so I always order mild and ask for a little bit of spice. The medium is sometimes good but sometimes too spicy, so play it safe with the mild. Must try their handmade coconut ice cream!!! It is absolutely delicious. read more

We enjoy thai food about two to three times per month and this is by far the best we've had. You can tell the veggies are fresh, the sauce is made very well and the medium heat was perfect. I'm always up for trying good Thai food but it doesn't always turn out that way. This place looks a bit generic from the outside but I already made up my mind to check it out so I headed in. I ended up sitting at the bar where the elderly lady was bartending. She turned out to be super sweet and really made my experience. I knew I wanted the papaya salad but she recommended the dumplings in addition when I had trouble figuring out what else I wanted. Let me just tell you those dumplings, which I found out later are hand made each day, were some of the best I've ever had. Yes, you read that right and that includes those I've had in China. The papaya salad was spot on. I went with medium but it would be classified as hot anywhere else. I wasn't complaining but I did go through at least a half dozen glasses of water. I did come back again and had similar experiences. I do think this is one of the best, if not the best Thai restaurant in the Denver area. read more

Yummy place! My friends kept telling me that I had to go try this place out with them. I was looking forward to it for a long time! I was not disappointed at all! The appropriately named Wild Ginger has a Wild Ginger drink which I enjoyed very much! I really enjoyed the noodle dish I had! Simply delicious! I was honored to sample some of my friend's Phad Thai and it too was awesome! Let me see... what else did I try? Oh yeah, the Crab Rangoons were great! For dessert I had the Thai custard which did not fall short on anything! My friends also had fried banana which was surprisingly good! Ummm, I mean, I'll come back, sure but I've been trying to think a few minutes now on what the best thing about this restaurant is and all I can come up with is... My friends like it? I had Hot Pad Thai and for once, it was legit hot! So, good. My friend who raves her love for Thai has been here multiple times already, even bringing her family when they came to visit as she's just moved to Denver. She had a delicious Pad Se Yew. And another friend had delicious fish cakes and another friend had some sort of roast chicken. It was all good. But... I walked away wanting more taste. Does that make sense? The food wasn't bland or plain but I was expecting an extra little kick that unfortunately did not show up at this night's dinner. Maybe all these hyped reviews made me expect too much. I will definitely be back since it's decent Thai food (and my friend is obsessed) but honestly, I actually like Swing Thai way better (I am told that's a little shameful to admit). I had been here a few times before and had really everything I ordered. However, this time around, I was a little bit disappointed. I ordered the Drunken noodles and was looking forward to it since I'd had their pad see ew before and loved it. Well, the drunken noodles didn't have enough sauce. I think if there was more sauce it probably wouldn't had tasted as bland. For dessert, I got the coconut ice cream and sweet rice. It only had a trickle of sauce so I had to ask for more. Based on past dining experiences, it gets 4 stars. If I were rating solely on my last meal here, it would get 3 stars. Oh and the service was just so-so. The beef salad had a variety of wonderful flavors and textures but the beef was tough and chewy so it didn't matter that there was a lot of it. We ordered the papaya salad (medium) and I ordered the drunken noodles (medium) What I didn't know when I ordered was what a wimp I am. The papaya salad was awesome, but after bite number two I think I could have breathed fire! The heat lingered throughout the meal and into the rest of my afternoon. My drunken noodles arrived and I could see the chili stripes which I promptly picked out. With that minor modification it wasn't too hot but rather tasty. All in all a great place but keep in mind their heat levels aren't the same as your average mexican joint. If you're unsure, order mild and work your way up. You'll love it! read more

I been coming to this Thai place since I was young. We use to live in the area and always came to this Thai place. I was recently in town for something and decided to stop by for lunch and get the Pad Thai (which is the best pad thai I've ever had). I honestly don't really remember if anything else on the menu was good, but I knew that the pad thai is delicious! The pad thai was definitely good but felt like it was too saucy this time. I got the tofu pad thai, they actually don't deep fry the tofu like other thai places. I kind of like it when it's deep fried.
