Ummm, I mean, I'll come back, sure but I've been trying to think a few minutes now on what the best thing about this restaurant is and all I can come up with is... My friends like it? I had Hot Pad Thai and for once, it was legit hot! So, good. My friend who raves her love for Thai has been here multiple times already, even bringing her family when they came to visit as she's just moved to Denver. She had a delicious Pad Se Yew. And another friend had delicious fish cakes and another friend had some sort of roast chicken. It was all good. But... I walked away wanting more taste. Does that make sense? The food wasn't bland or plain but I was expecting an extra little kick that unfortunately did not show up at this night's dinner. Maybe all these hyped reviews made me expect too much. I will definitely be back since it's decent Thai food (and my friend is obsessed) but honestly, I actually like Swing Thai way better (I am told that's a little shameful to admit). I had been here a few times before and had really everything I ordered. However, this time around, I was a little bit disappointed. I ordered the Drunken noodles and was looking forward to it since I'd had their pad see ew before and loved it. Well, the drunken noodles didn't have enough sauce. I think if there was more sauce it probably wouldn't had tasted as bland. For dessert, I got the coconut ice cream and sweet rice. It only had a trickle of sauce so I had to ask for more. Based on past dining experiences, it gets 4 stars. If I were rating solely on my last meal here, it would get 3 stars. Oh and the service was just so-so. Now that my lips have finally stopped burning I figured I should share some tips about this gem. This place really is great. We ordered the papaya salad (medium) and I ordered the drunken noodles (medium) What I didn't know when I ordered was what a wimp I am. The papaya salad was awesome, but after bite number two I think I could have breathed fire! The heat lingered throughout the meal and into the rest of my afternoon. My drunken noodles arrived and I could see the chili stripes which I promptly picked out. With that minor modification it wasn't too hot but rather tasty. All in all a great place but keep in mind their heat levels aren't the same as your average mexican joint. If you're unsure, order mild and work your way up. You'll love it! read more

I been coming to this Thai place since I was young. We use to live in the area and always came to this Thai place. I was recently in town for something and decided to stop by for lunch and get the Pad Thai (which is the best pad thai I've ever had). I honestly don't really remember if anything else on the menu was good, but I knew that the pad thai is delicious! The pad thai was definitely good but felt like it was too saucy this time. I got the tofu pad thai, they actually don't deep fry the tofu like other thai places. I kind of like it when it's deep fried. Best Thai in Denver! How have I not eaten here before? Great service, hot, fresh food and delicious meals for all. Green curry and drunken noodles- both perfect. Don't go too spicy, they mean business!! We love spice but found the medium to be perfect. Nice family owned restaurant. Parking is limited and sometimes this place gets packed! The staff is very friendly and fast. Inside is very simple Asian decor with well spaced out tables. I think what sets this place apart from other Thai places is that they have an area where it's more traditional Asian seating (low tables, shoes off, criss-cross sitting). I had a medium pad Thai with chicken and shrimp ($8.95) and it definitely was spicier compared to other places. This is a pretty nondescript looking spot so when we first pulled up I wasn't expecting much until I realized that the parking lot was almost full! Once I got my food I can see why the place was packed on a Friday night. I got the the pineapple curry and I took the recommendation to get it with shrimp and it was delicious. This dish has such a wonderful tropical taste with a little bit of a kick (I only did the mild since I'm kind of a baby). Also for starters we got some dumplings and crab wontons. The crab wontons aren't the exact same that you get at a typical Chinese restaurant they're a little bit more crispy. We also indulged and got the mango and sweet rice for dessert which was lovely. This little gem is oh so good! I always get panang. I have tried Thai hot but typically go down a level. My 'cry' face is not attractive so ya know. The hubs gets Thai hot and he turns white when eating. He skips the whole red-faced phase. Yet he keeps going back for more. Boys love noodles and the soups. We really enjoy eating here. The tom kha gai soup here is one of the best in the Denver Metro area. I have it almost every time I visit Wild Ginger. I will even call ahead and get it for take out if I know I will be driving by Littleton. In fact, with the exception of some relatively flavorless spring rolls, everything I have had here has been quite good. UPDATE: I dropped by again in early September with a group of people. We went "family style" on 8 different entrees and appetizers. The tom kha gai soup is still my favorite thing on the menu, but the "drunken noodles" (pad kea mow) would be my second favorite. They were flavorful, dark, and delicious. I thought the pad thai was a solid offering, but it had a bit more fish sauce than I care for. The tidbits for 2 appetizer was pretty decent. The food has become uneven since the start of the pandemic. I have had two very bland, disappointing dishes here recently. My daughter had one dish she thought was up to the old standards and another that was very disappointing. I don't know what the issue is. I spent a number of years in Asia and have a number of Thai places in town that I think highly of. I'm a fan of _absurdly spicy_ food and can seldom find a place that will make it spicy enough for me to truly enjoy. There is a fine line with absurdly spicy food. Some places lose track of flavor and just shoot for blowing you away, and in Thai food this manifests is the food tasting off as so much pepper has been added that it's burned in the process. That said, Wild Ginger is the first place that conquered me. I asked for spicier than Thai Hot, "Are you sure?" They said. And I repeated my normal phrase, "If you can make it spicy enough that I can't eat it, I'll be happy." They did. I had the drunken noodles and the flavor was great. In addition to that, every bite caused sweat to spring from my brow, and my nose was running enough to make me wish they used paper napkins instead of cloth. I only make it about 4/5 if the way through and I couldn't get across the finish line. This was spicy enough to make me wish I'd ordered less spicy. That has literally never happened to me in my life. This was a first. Well done Wild Ginger. I'll be back, and I'll order Thai Hot with confidence. read more
