Passed by here for years and finally thought to come try it. We got the chicken finger appetizer for our two small kids. And my wife and I got the sushi. The chicken tenders were actually better than I expected. The breading they used (which seems to be the same as what they use on the deep fried sushi) went really well with the chicken. The sushi I'd say was a solid 3.5 stars out of 5. The size of the rolls I felt were a little larger than normal (judging based on the fact my wife and I couldn't finish four rolls, when normally we are ready for more after that). The portions of fish were generous and the rice was nice and fluffy (though so fluffy that some of the rolls fell apart fairly easily). There was one deep fried roll with avocado, shrimp, and cream cheese that was way too plain. It didn't taste bad, but wasn't good enough to force myself to finish the roll. One interesting note was the wasabi they used. I've never seen wasabi that was this light pale color and more "watery" than typical wasabi. It was also far spicier, which is a good thing. The service was also SUPER friendly. The waitress was super attentive, and the sushi chef actually came out and talked to us for a bit . A little late on this review, but this place absolutely deserves the praise. We stopped in after a long day of errands hoping for a calm refuge and a late lunch, and that's exactly what we found. The restaurant is spotless, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the staff is genuinely friendly and kind. The food was amazing, everything fresh and flavorful. The drinks were perfectly cold, and the egg rolls were crispy and cooked just right. I wasn't feeling well so we needed to leave sooner than planned. The staff immediately showed real concern, made sure we had everything packed up to finish at home, and our server even encouraged me kindly to go rest. That level of care is rare. And the best part? The food was just as delicious when we reheated it later. They've absolutely earned us as loyal customers, and I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

First time here, the restaurant was nice and clean, we ordered the lunch specials, the fried rice was a bit too greasy as well as the noodles, it was heavy on the grease taste. I ordered Mushroom egg foo young to take home. When I got it home, and opened it, it was covered with vegetables and sauce. That wasnt the problem. The egg foo young, was not egg foo young, it was deep fried crunchy coating. There was no egg foo patty at all. I kept cutting into it, tasting it, and it was just a deep fried greasy coating. I was so disappointed and wanted egg foo young so bad. I dont know if they dont know how to make this, but it definitely wasnt anything like other places I have ordered egg foo young. It was almost as if the mixture they put in the hot oil to cook it, disengrated it, and there was just dark brown breading deep fried. read more

I was looking to try something new and my doordash search brought me here. The chicken with mixed vegetables bento box was a great value and very fresh and healthy. A little bland but nothing soy sauce can fix. The salad dressing is delicious and light and fried foods were good. The chicken lettuce wraps were tasty and had plenty of crunchy veggies. What I loved about the food is it wasn't drowning in oil or sauce but like other reviews have mentioned, it can taste bland. Impressed with my first order. Food was hot and packaged really well. I ordered the hot and sour soup and fried wontons as an appetizer. Then the roasted duck, with the ham fried rice on the side for my entrée. The hot an sour soup was amazing! Full of flavor, by that I mean salty, just enough vinegar and spice. It had tofu, bits of chicken, bamboo and carrot slivers, with shredded egg. It was $8, so I bit more than I'm used to, but it was delish and packaged well. The fried wontons were good, crispy and hot, what you'd expect. The ham fried rice was also great. You could tell there was a good amount of ham and egg in it. The rice was a bit sticky which helped keep it together when I was shoveling it in my mouth. The roasted duck was standard, tasty, fatty, with a bit of grease. It's easier to eat by hand to get all the meat off of the bones. The duck and the side was about $20.. also a bit pricier than I thought the portions were worth. Overall I'd eat here again, but I'll watch what I get. read more

I am actually speechless, but have a lot to say! I have driven by this restaurant 100 times and I should have continued to do so. Worst Chinese food I have ever had, sushi rolls were horrendous, not one dish had any flavor not even a pinch of salt. Even item with vegetables no flavor whatsoever. This is the most disappointing food we've have ever had the beef and broccoli had no flavor and the broccoli wasn't even fresh at all. I'm a New Yorker and Chinese food puts this to shame. Living in utah I've never had good Chinese food besides Asian Star and they went bad. I don't understand why can't the food be cooked authentic instead of cutting corners because you figure people will eat anything. That's not how it works your a brand that represents the culture and instead your food quality says you're not authentic and your food is not cooked but Sam or Costco bought. Anyway this way I will not eat anything here in utah that majority of business claim there authentic. I hope this business steps it's game because this is embarrassing and this business will lose customers. And oh yeah anyone who's saying this food is good is mostly likely friends of this business. This places is really solid. We're regulars here. They just give the perfect amount of food. Not an overly large portion but still a good amount. I've only been into the shop once. The one time I've been the cashier was really nice and warmly greeted me at the door. Also their sesame balls are fannnnntastic. Before tonight, I thought that even bad sushi was still good food. Even the cheap grocery store stuff tasted fine to me. Now I wish I could return to my days of sushi ignorance. The problems: 1) The squid and scallop nigiri were just wrong. The smell was so bad that my husband refused to eat them. But like an idiot, I tried one of each, and my stomach is now seizing up in anger. I wish I had trusted my nose. The smell was bad, but the taste and texture were worse. I had to spit most of the second one--don't remember which it was (a lovely image I am sure. But I feel compelled to warn people!) 2) Do you remember that stuff from the 1980's called "krab" that was dry, stringy, smelled fishy, and was all oddly identical? These guys still have it. I think they bought up a big supply 40 years ago and are still using it now. I don't know what the rest is the world did to make fake crab taste (and feel!) so much better, but these guys need to figure it out. 3) They forgot my seaweed salad. Since this was a delivery, it's no fun to miss out on part of an order--especially since this is one item that they might have gotten right. So if you're thinking of eating here, don't. I came here a little bit ago with some friends making up a party of 6. My friends ate here like 6 months ago & said it was good. When arriving found out they have new owners now. The new owners seem nice. I honestly have really mixed feelings about this place...some pros & A lot of cons. Cons: 1. They only have one Sushi Chef so if you come at any time that is even slightly busy it takes a long time to get the rolls you ordered. Any of the "Tempura dipped" rolls are good but not enough crunch for me, personally. Most of the other sushi is just honestly very bland & doesn't make you wanna tell you friends "I found this amazing sushi place..." Sushi was just decent and not even worth it for the price. I could get better sushi at the grocery store for cheaper. I would honestly take gas station sushi over this place's sushi & that's saying a lot. 2. Some of my friends dishes were just drenched in sauce/liquid and not enough meat at all. Put a large amount of vegetables to distract from the lack of meat you were receiving. The chefs really need to learn how to properly serve food. One friend got the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles and was so disappointed he barely took a few bites and didn't even want to order anything else off the menu instead. Same thing with my other friend who ordered Mixed Veggie Stir Fry with Chicken. The chicken didn't even look fully cooked. Like it was rushed or something when being made. 3. I got the Honey Walnut Chicken and whatever they mix it with is way too sweet. So sweet that it's really bad. I took a few bites & it felt and tasted like chicken covered in literal sugar. Not sugar that was cooked in but like they took the honey walnut sauce and poured a bunch of sugar in it & then tossed some chicken... 4. They recently had to raise there pricing do to food prices going up which I totally respect and understand but if they are going to do that then they need to actually put more meat in their food and have the cooks make food that is worth the new prices. (Not really confident in their cooks to begin with. They need to really change there recipes) 5. They are extremely understaffed which might not be there fault however it also could be. So I can't go into more detail about this because I'm not positive about why they are understaffed. 6. I have no problem with children but the new owners let there little girl run around in the kitchen when everyone is trying to work. She is like 4 years old or younger. Not even sure but it's extremely unprofessional. I see people having to wait for the kid to move out of there way which makes the service take longer. The kid would throw tantrums that lasted the whole time we were dinning in. Just literally screaming & crying which again I have no problem with children but nobody wants to eat out and listen to a toddler scream for 30-40minutes straight. The little kid was also climbing all over the counter + chairs and could seriously get injured...and the grandma or a family friend was there and literally just didn't give a crap about stopping the little kid from doing that or at least even keeping her out the kitchen and out of everyone's way. 7. They also only have one card reader so it takes forever to get your card back so you can leave the restaurant when they also have 6 other tables and a bunch of people there for take-out. They need to add another one to speed up the process. 8. The Miso, Wonton & Hot and Sour Soup were literally trash. The only decent one was the Egg Drop Soup. 9. We were a group of 5 and here is a list of entrees ordered: - Roasted pork fried rice - Shrimp with mixed vegetables - Cracked pepped beef with onions - Chicken with cashew nuts - Beef lo mein - Cream cheese wontons All were very flavorful and not salty like other places I've had. My favorites would have to be the beef lo mein and the cracked pepper beef. The portions were enough for leftovers and I was very surprised how much lo mein came in an order. A few months ago, I would have given a higher rating to Wild Ginger mainly for their once excellent hot and sour soup. However, something has changed and the hot and sour soup now tastes like luke warm beef broth. The entrees are still good and they are very reasonably priced if you order direct (not Grubhub, etc) and the servers are always very kind, but I do miss their previous hot and sour soup. Didn't even know this place existed. Stumbled on it by accident. I ordered Togo some sushi and chicken cashew. It was a alright size for the entree. But the amount of rice they give you is sooooo small. If you were ordering entrees for family meals you better order everyone a rice. The entree itself wasn't too bad, I liked it but wasn't like "omg you need to try this- kind of thing." As for sushi, they were great except the rolls were smaller compared to other places I've been to. I really liked their Golden Dragon- that roll was amazing. I requested miso soup, and was given egg drop soup. Worst egg drop soup. 2 slips of egg bit in a jellied like soup...bleh. The salad was pickled cabbage. It was okay. Vegetable tempura I normally love. What I was given was 2 slices of carrot and 2 slices of potato in such a thick batter and thick layer of grease it was dripping. Not bad, not great, but it's what I get whenever I'm using grubhub. I've tried a few different rolls and it's a little inconsistent. It's also kinda soggy and the crunchy type rolls don't have much crunch as I'd like. The flavor is alright too, I don't mind it. This review is based on several orders from Grubhub and one in person experience. In the year I've lived in WVC, I've ordered from them at least 6 times. The food is always consistent so rather than experimenting with other places, when ordering in thats what I choose. Two days ago I received an order of hunan chicken and when my roommate took a bite there were sunflower seed shells in her food!!! Not only are sunflower seeds not an ingredient for that dish but we don't keep them in our house. I truly hope the chef wasn't eating them while prepping our food. Let me tell you about my dine in experience. There wasn't a single other patron in the restaurant aside from our group of 3. The waitress wasn't rude but certainly couldn't be considered friendly. Upon receiving our food, one dish is missing. For several minutes there are no employees in sight, finally when one appears we ask for our 3rd dish. He goes to the back to retrieve it and she yells - "no, I already rang up the bill". I speak up and say it's not extra, just something we didn't receive. She keeps repeating from the back- "I already made the bill". I'm truly not sure how this is relevant but oh well. Finally she understands me and brings the dish, incredibly friendly about it. As in OVER THE TOP friendly. Gotta love the act. When we pay, we use cash and our change is 15 short. It could have been an honest mistake but when I mentioned it she seemed irritated that I noticed and after the way the rest of the meal had gone it only added to my distaste for the place. Underwhelming, bland, and not worth the money! There is a sign outside the door and inside that says something like rice or noodle, plus two entrees $7.50. When I asked about it, it's only for lunch. Ok. We knew it was bad when the hubs ordered pepper and salted pork, and it came out looking like pork rinds and no color on the plate from vegetables.
