    Asada Tacos

Service was great. Menu had lots of items. I had the carne asada tacos, and my friend had the TABLE sando. We also had mocktail spritz that we enjoyed a lot. The restaurant is very well themed with hares scattered in the art and in little miniature statues. I loved the theme.

Located inside the Hilton, we went here twice during our stay and had amazing experiences. Lindsey and Cat are wonderful bartenders! They are friendly and Lindsey makes an excellent Espresso Martini! We also had breakfast/brunch the following day and the food was great. We were greeted immediately by Miguel who seated us and got us waters, and Cristobal was our server. They both were attentive and super nice. My BF had an Omelette with ham, onions, and spinach and he enjoyed it. I went with the T.A.B.L.E. Sando and I loved it! This sandwich is a take on a BLT but elevated! Added to the classic BLT is avocado and a fried egg. The bacon is thick and yummy, pecan smoked and is delicious. The heirloom tomatoes and lettuce are so fresh and it's on multigrain bread with umami mayo. I can't stop raving about this sandwich! The decor is cool with hares everywhere in pictures and statues, even in the hotel lobby. The restaurant and bar has a lot of light since surrounded by of windows so nice having the natural light during the day. The bar scene is upbeat and we were able to watch sports since they have TV's. Definitely a great place.

Was staying at the hotel and decided to stop by Wild Hare to kill time and use my hotel credits. I got a lemon drop martini and roasted vegetables to snack on. I'm not sure what vodka they used for the lemon drop, but it had an extra rubbing alcohol-y flavor for some reason, but still delicious! The roasted vegetables were also great! It cane with asparagus and broccolini, and gave me my much needed nutrients for the day. The bartenders were both super friendly, and made sure I was doing okay the whole time! Definitely a great spot to kill some time and grab a drink!

We visited after the Padres game on Wednesday, 9/24. My brother made a reservation for 6. The bill came to over $200, which was pricey but we were at the Hilton in the Gaslamp Quarter so not surprised. I was ready to leave a 5 star review because the ambiance, food, and wait service were outstanding. BTW, we felt our carne asada tacos tasted like carnitas although the server confirmed to the contrary. Our taste buds insisted otherwise. However, we found out the next day we were overcharged and attempts to speak to anybody to correct this have been futile. My husband spoke to someone who informed him he needed to speak to the accounting department then this person hung up on him! He did finally speak with someone, who assured him the accounting department would call him. What started out as a pleasant experience is now a continuing nightmare. Wild Hare needs to contact us and reverse these charges. Trying to get this resolved is like going down a rabbit hole!

Recomiendo disfrutar estas tostadas como entrada o incluso como plato principal, acompañadas de una bebida fría. Sin duda, son una opción ideal para quienes buscan un plato ligero pero lleno de sabor. ¡No te las puedes perder!

This is the most adorable hotel bar and restaurant ever, located inside the Hilton, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Even with its location across from the SD Convention Center, we didn't encounter any waits and were seated right away during Comic-Con weekend. The bunny wall art and sculptures were cute and quirky, and obviously the rabbit themed food and drinks added even more appeal to this inviting setting. For drinks, we got I'm All Ears which was yummy with a light and refreshing strawberry flavor. The 24kt Rush was on the sweeter side, I suppose a good dose of honey in this cocktail. For food, we had an order of chicken wings with buffalo sauce, which was pretty standard, but juicy and tasty nonetheless. And I absolutely loved the ahi tostada. My bf wasn't a big fan of the fusion type dish, but we both enjoyed it. The blend of ingredients was fresh and delicious, with a light crunch from the wonton and the avocado puree adding a nice flavor. Service was great too, ensuring a bun-tastic experience. Nothing I didn't love about the place, definitely 5 stars in my book.

Food and service were good. Atmosphere inside is Denny's but the outside garden is nice. They add an automatic 4% surcharge to the check. I will not dine here again because of this deceptive practice. There is a better place a block away called the Breakfast Company that is less expensive and has no surcharge. Even better, a tad farther is the Broken Yolk, great breakfast also without a surcharge.

Had brunch here to try out their meals. The day prior I had apps and a cocktail and was very well done. The service feels high end and the dishes served are pretty thought out. With the entire hotel diving in with rabbit theme it was novel and different. I have read reviews that the service and food are lacking, but I personally didn't find this at all. The two times we visited, it was a pleasant experience overall. The dishes may not appeal to many, but if you have your mind and taste buds open to things, you may be surprised.

MEDIOCRE. MEDI..OK (3 stars) Night before ComicCon and the down was quiet af. Couple tourists roaming the streets and many restaurants shutting down early because it's a Tuesday. Landed here because... I really don't know why. The bar looked nice and inviting! Had less than 30 minutes to order before closing. POPPING AHI TACOS ($16) - Marinated Ahi, avocado purse, shiso, black truffle mayonesa, popping candy. Meh. It was basically pop rocks on super dry tiny ahi tuna tacos. Not worth the money spent. The ahi didn't appear or tasted "marinated". It tasted like.. dry ahi tuna with a squirt of puréed avocado and some honey flavored pop rocks. WANDERING DOE ($16) Rumhaven coconut water rum, Pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, Vanilla. The sip was better than the bite. Super easy to drink, tastes like juice. Taste like a less tart-sweet pineapple juice - vanilla tones the tart down. RECOMMEND Probably not be back but I'm not discouraging any of yall to go yourself. Until the next review....

Wild Hare Bar Garden restaurant is located in a stylish Hilton hotel, on the main entry level, in downtown San Diego. Reservations were made, which made everything go smoothly. The menu has a few vegan options, which can be found with a little orange carrot next to it. The service was amazing--If you're reading this Lindsey, thank you! I ordered the Miso Truffle Ricotto with truffled mushrooms, arugula, and roasted tomatoes. It was quite lovely. I enjoyed my meal and would order it again. Restrooms were clean and tidy; friendly vibes all around! Tip: Valet and Street Parking

Our group was surprised as is was 2115, it's been open for about an hour and a half and packed. As you enter this old law office down a staircase one would find the "speakeasy statutes/rules" to maintain the 1920s atmosphere-- we loved the setting, the people, the drinks, and of course the live music!! One would not be disappointed. The cocktail menu was on an old record, which I thought it was so clever. Back to the rules, seems pretty easy! They mention to keep an open mind with the drinks as they do not carry vodkas, redbull, Budweiser or bulls**t. Mentioned a dresscode, more so be classic and states be respectful and don't be a di*k. Staff was also not very attentive to guests' needs, rather just going through the motions. For instance, they noted "standing room only" and that they would eventually seat our party of two. They walked us to an exact spot on the floor to stand and view the menu in the dark (we used our phone flashlights, but it wasn't easy while carrying our belongings too), and they instructed us not to order at the bar in this colorful but dimly lit tiki lounge. We essentially ordered from staff who took our order in the middle of the floor, then we had to hold our drinks, some that came with additional shot glasses, in full hands, as we were never seated. We did find a barrel to set our drinks on later, but their process and expectations for guests was just really weird and impractical. The theme and decor of the setting was lovely, with moments of a lightning and thunder effect that made the experience more immersive. But we were not impressed by the sticky menus and sticky floor, nor the lack of service and minimal help from staff while there. We made the most of our time at False Idol regardless of their shortcomings. The bombay sling and enigma de muerte were pretty decent in quality and flavor, so it's safe to say the drinks aren't the problem here. And though we probably won't return, it was cool for a one-time experience.

The single worst experience I've ever had going out…read more If you're friends with the servers, bartenders, or hosts, you'll probably have a great time. If you're not a regular, be careful, because apparently all it takes is one drunk friend of the staff making up a story to get you kicked out. While visiting San Diego with friends, we came here after hearing so many great things. There was a short wait, which was fine. The four of us were seated at a small standing table, also fine. Behind us were two guys drinking at the standing bar. One of them bumped into my friend and then stroked her arm while apologizing. She was visibly uncomfortable, so I told her to switch places with me. The guy immediately said, "We're gay, so you don't have to worry," then turned to his friend and said, "Now he looks so stupid and embarrassing." I told him, "I don't think it's embarrassing to make sure your friends are comfortable," then turned back around. I didn't argue with him, insult him, or continue the conversation. I thought that was the end of it. A few minutes later, the manager came over and told us we had made comments that made other patrons uncomfortable and asked us to leave. We had already paid for our drinks and were still waiting for them. My friend followed the manager to ask what was going on, and I joined shortly after. The person complaining was, of course, the same guy who had bumped into her. He was clearly drunk and started rambling about how we had made homophobic comments toward him and his friend. This was especially ridiculous considering the friend I switched places with was there with her girlfriend. We calmly explained exactly what happened. The manager did not care. There was no real attempt to hear our side, ask questions, or figure out what actually happened. The decision had clearly already been made. While we were speaking to the manager, the guy who complained was cheerfully talking with one of the bartenders, receiving a to-go meal, and greeting them cheek to cheek. He very obviously appeared to know the staff. So that seems to be how things work here: a drunk regular or friend of the staff can make up whatever story he wants, and management will throw out an entire group of paying customers without even pretending to investigate. They refunded the drinks, which was the bare minimum. The ambience was nice, but that means absolutely nothing when the staff handles customers this poorly. Awful management, blatant favoritism, and easily the worst service I have ever experienced. I would never come back, and I would strongly warn anyone who isn't already friends with the staff to stay away.

From the spooky, dark, skulls old school ambiance and decor, to the experience of not ordering from a menu, everything about it made it feel unique and curated making it feel like a true individualized experience. As mentioned, there are no menus. We sat at the bar, the bartender makes casual conversation with you regarding the types of drinks you enjoy. He curated something for both my husband and I based on what we shared we enjoyed. The drinks were delicious. The entry was very cool! It felt as if you were entering a hidden spot - which you do. When you enter the restaurant, you let the hostess know you're there for the Noble Experience. She let us know to head to the wall with the kegs (which is actually a door). You enter and there's a small waiting area where you're greeted by another hostess. This place is a 20/10. We can't wait to return on our next visit to SD.
