Very cute place with bright blue paint We sat outside at one of their many tables. The also have outside booths but in true Little Italy fashion there was a homeless man and his dog camping there, so we chose a table. The have a counter area inside as well as tables and booths. We ordered orange juice, the French toast with a side of bacon. Orange juice was good with pulp. Toast was really good, crispy edges with a soft center. The bacon was crispy but still tender. It arrived cold which was disappointing. Service was adequate. They are dog friendly outside but didn't offer water. Parking is street parking with meters, if you can find it.

We came here this morning after walking around town all morning and the service and the owner were friendly and amazing. The pancakes with blueberries were delicious. We'll stop here for breakfast again

I went here this morning because I am staying at a nearby hotel. This was such a delightful little breakfast spot to find. The service was incredibly friendly and very quick. I never had an empty glass of water or coffee. The food was delicious and the portions were plenty large. The ambiance inside was exactly what you want from a diner in a downtown. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

After walking around the farmers market, I wanted some brunch and found this spot. I was able to get sat immediately. I really like how the booths are set up, it's so cute! I order the chilaquiles and they were so good and they're orange juice is freshly made. I definitely be back if I want some good breakfast

That was a short-lived transition as this Little Italy corner breakfast spot was briefly taken over by Gooseberries. Within a couple of months something awry occurred, and the old Harbor Breakfast owners reclaimed the business. I even asked one of the workers what happened, and she was mum with her response. I had not visited before all this went down so everything seemed the same with the layout. Despite the breakup, I noticed on the top right corner of the menu that Gooseberries' buttermilk biscuits and jam were still being served. Breakfast plates, omelettes, sides, baja specials, and lunch items were the food categories. I chose the first breakfast plate listed which was the signature Harbor Plate. I customized the contents by asking for two eggs sunny side up, chicken-apple sausage, beet-n-sweet potato hash, and a buttermilk biscuit with the Gooseberries jam. The eggs were meh while the sausage had a mild flavor profile. The deep purple color of the beet and sweet potato hash was unique. Some added spices would have been nice to perk up the hash. The biscuits and jam were the stars of the plate. The round biscuit looked dry from the outside, but it was soft and moist on the inside. The jam was a less sweet version of strawberry preserves. The service from the waitstaff at the counter where I sat was fine. For the food quality and price, I gave a 3.5 star rating for my meal at Harbor Breakfast.

It's hard to imagine a better location that is my cup of tea. Diner style food with a touch of upscale. The doors and windows were open on a beautiful summer day. The staff was super friendly and the fruit was other worldly. The only reason is not a five was some of the food items were mid, but still good enough. Can't wait to go back.

This place is now one of my favorite diners. The food was really good and the service was so friendly and warm. It felt like a happy place to start the day.

Sooooo good! This fun little corner stop has doors that open to an elevated outdoor patio seating area. The beet and sweet potato hash is amazing! Love the flavor and this was a first for me. Marisol was our waitress and has such a happy, healthy personality. The staff work as a team and we're very gracious. The pancakes have a sweetness to their batter and I ate almost the entire plate! The side of bacon is a nice portion and cooked crispy which I prefer. The omelet can be made to order or you can select from the three printed options. This was a great spot and their coffee, cold brew, was a medium blend that was very good.

Banana + honey + espresso/matcha + milk + banana cloud cream + cinnamon, this is a banana bread dreammm, it hits every time I get it. My friend got it as the espresso and said it was delicious as a coffee option too! I've also tried their "trust fund kid" matcha which is an earl grey + espresso/matcha + milk. This one was good but didn't hit as much as the funny business does for me, I feel like I've had stronger earl grey flavor matchas before. My friend got the "slow clap" matcha and said it was delicious too! Guava + matcha/chai + milk + guava cloud cream. I'd be very curious to try this as a chai since I've never seen a guava chai before! My parents got the "loose cannon" espresso and liked it but it seemed pretty basic/standard to me! Irish cream + espresso/matcha + milk + vanilla cloud cream. Seems ideal if you're looking for a good creamy latte w some cute green accents on top! They also got an americano and enjoyed it! $4 isn't bad for espresso + water and they said the coffee blend was good! Seems like the trend amongst what me and my friends have gotten is anything with a flavor and cloud cream is a delicious option. PASTRIES: I've also tried their strawberry orange loaf and it was perfectly moist with natural strawberry orange flavors, I would definitley be interested in trying more of their pastries! Ambiance is fantastic it's inside a giant plant store warehouse so feels like you're in a houseplant jungle while you sip on your morning coffee/matcha. Also gives you something to do since you can explore and window shop while you wait for your drink. They have lots of other cute cards and little Knick knacks lining the area to line up to place your order too so there's always something to capture your attention! Also a good amount of seating and you get to sit amongst all of the lovely plants and feel the fresh air! Service has been pretty fast every time I've come especially given how busy they've been on the weekend when I've come. (Albeit be prepared to wait 15-20+ min on a busy holiday weekend). When they're busy they'll have someone at the counter taking orders alongside someone on a tablet to speed things up. You get a text notification when your drink is done so no need to wait around the counter. There's also a little TV where names and estimated wait times are updated which is super convenient! Parking here is plentiful! There's a parking lot as well as tons of street parking, I've always been able to find parking within a block or two even on mother's day! Overall, I LOVE selva, the funny business matcha alone is enough to keep me coming back! Dare I say this may be my favorite / one of my favorite matcha place in SD! Their drinks are also super cute alongside being super tasty and their interior is so good!

They also have a breakfast sandwich called the San Diego which is a favorite of several people I know. You chose the bagel you want it with and they add fried eggs, bacon, cheese and aioli. I highly reccomend it. I've not had a lot of their deinis, but i did order the cinna-bee which has honey, cinnamon, espresso and milk. I thought it was good and would order it again.
