Excellent place - 2 really nice bouldering section. They don't have quite enough auto belays but more than make up w a great friendly set of climbers. A day pass was reasonable compared to other sites. A great place to make your crimp hands totally sore. read more

Had a great time climbing at this gym. They have a great variety of climbing levels and areas inside which makes it nice whether you're a beginner and more intermediate climber. I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star only because each time we have gone their customer service seems to not be the greatest. It would be better if they had more staff on hand and available. I'm definitely a novice climber but this spot was really fun! Bouldering and belay walls along with some random lifting equipment upstairs. If you're a college student, go on fridays for a discount! Make sure someone in your group knows how to belay otherwise you'll have to stick to bouldering or the three automatic belay walls. I loved the set up of the gym with the belays in the center and bouldering all along the sides. Don't forget to check out the second room with just bouldering too! read more

My family and I love Alpha, doesnt matter what age you are you will find motivation, support, loyalty, companionship, knowledge and so much more. I have never been a person to go to a gym and work out but watching my son in Jiu Jitsu over these last months got me wanting to get healthier and stronger so I can roll with him. I did the Groupon with my friend. We got to be part of a class for two hours that was very informative and fun. Then we were let loose and could choose from any of the walls. It was an absolute blast! The vibe is great, liked the music, it felt like a yoga studio/gym/camping. Everyone there is very in to climbing, a lot of very impressive strength! Easy to join and be a part of. With our Groupon we get to come back for a week. Climbing gear is included with our discount, but if you buy a package after you have to pay an extra ten bucks for the harness, carabeaner and shoes. All of which I would imagine are expensive, so for ten bucks I think worth it. My hands and arms are definitely sore! We wore workout clothes and that was fine for the environment. Everyone had on different apparel, some were in jeans even. If you're an active, adventurous type then you should give this a try! read more

Great climbing atmosphere with alright music and a pretty good range of routes which they change up monthly or so. The routes range from 5.0-5.12+ with most of them being between 5.7-5.10+ range. They've added a new wall and increased the bouldering area over the last year for more routes. Plus the new flooring is so much softer and nicer than the old floor. I would like it if there were more crack routes, but I doubt if they will add any since hardly anyone climbs the few they have now. The bouldering area is set up now with so high ball climbs that walk off along with some friction routes and overhanging cave routes. This place can be intimidating if you are trying to learn to climb and are by yourself. It's best to go with a friend so you can learn to belay as well. Most of the climbers there are pretty relaxed and easy to talk to or get get to belay from. The bottom line is this place isn't as good as climbing outside but it will definitely curb your climbing fix and keep you in shape during the winter. read more

This is a great spot, for around $20 my kid and I were able to climb for hours. The staff was very patient as they explained knots and how to belay. There is a fair amount of real estate to climb, but I do wish there were more autobelaying machines. I was worried about it being cold, but it was a nice temperature. I have been Climbing at this gym for greater than 5 Years. It is a great place to keep in shape for outdoor climbing season. The routes seem to be changed slowly and occasionally it is difficult to get motivated to continue to climb the same stuff. It can get busy in the evening so the best time to go is before 4 pm. I just recently took up rock climbing. Before this past summer, the last time I climbed a wall was at 6th grade science camp, and although I remember the wall being ginormous, I'm sure it was nothing compared to Wild Walls. This climbing gym is great for all skill levels. If you're a beginner, you do have to take a class, just so you know not to kill/injure yourself whilst climbing. (Makes sense.) You'll need to know how to properly belay your partner and how to tie knots. They also offer shoe and gear rentals, which is handy. Gear can get spendy. All hobbies are when you're just starting out. I myself have not invested in a pair of climbing shoes yet and I've done decent on the routes. But they definitely improve your climbing game, so well worth the moolah. There's also a bouldering area where you can practice holds, technique, or just hang around. This spot is a definite go-to in the winter months so your climbing doesn't get rusty. read more

I was visiting from San Diego with my wife and took my wife here on a date. The guy who worked on Dec 28th at 1100 was a douche bag and was not friendly at all. He was unprofessional and was unwilling to help us. We ended up not staying which was the easiest decision we made all day. I would not recommend this rock climbing gym unless you want a horrible experience with unprofessional co-workers. We asked him about the knot and he said he wasn't going to help us and that we couldn't ask any of the customers either. He did however say that we could try and figure it out on our own. Lol. The kids loved it a lot! I was allowed to belay them which I appreciated, the staff checked on safety first, made sure I knew what to do. We rented the gear for one of the kids and it only adds $3, wow what a deal. The auto belay devices are amazing! The place was busy but there were plenty of neat routes and we never waited long. I first learned how to climb outdoors and quickly fell in love with it. But soon realized it's hard to find an entire day to dedicate to climbing and wait for the "just right weather". So I decided to try indoor climbing at Wild Walls with my best homie. This quickly became an addiction. Two hours in and out, best workout of your life! Staff is wonderful and quirky and not the least bit intimidating. I didn't have a clue how indoor climbing worked, but did have the basic knowledge from climbing outdoors, so I didn't take the class, but had to show them how I belayed and how to tie a figure eight knot. Kinda wish I would have taken the class, because over the years I developed poor technique that I wouldn't have if I had taken the class. The class is 2 hours, includes equipment, and you get a free week with it for $35. They have a ladies night class night class from on Mondays from 6-8p that's even cheaper at $25. They have bouldering (without ropes) and top roping and new auto belayers, in case you're climbing solo and just need some exercise. Busy from 5-8pm. Super quiet in the morning in afternoon. The have a spider monkeys class from 5-7pm M,W for lil kids 4-8yo. Super cute and it's free for kid members. So if you're looking for a great workout with the bonus of some eye candy, this is the place! :) read more

Despite me being one of oldest and most novice people there,I have found the staff, such as Skylar and Nick, are welcoming, helpful and encouraging. Because of this atmosphere, I try to go often. Recently came here while on a business trip in Spokane. The wall is great and almost most of the routes are well thought-out. The problems are definitely not on the sandbag side of things, and you will be hard pressed to find anything above an outside 7. But there are very few awkward movements and the setters seem to have different climbing styles. The crowd is definitely younger than I'm used to, but they're good company. All 3 sessions over my week-long trips have been great. read more

I'm an intermediate climber. Only come here if you're a pro. At least that's the staff's attitude here. The douche at the desk is clearly the best rock-climber on the planet and had absolutely no time or interest in facilitating unsuspecting beginners interested in learning something new. I understand there is a policy, liabilities, etc. I do not understand you're elitist attitude while (not really) explaining that to first-time visitors. What a disappointment, and TERRIBLE customer service. My girlfriend from work and I were super excited to go try out rock-climbing, but the staff at the front desk's attitude made us feel very uncomfortable so we left. It seemed like if we weren't Pros, we had no business being there. When we walked in, we stood there for nearly ten minutes before someone came and greeted us. And I knew that short little man saw us because I saw him looking at us the whole time we were standing there. When he came up to us he just said "Whats up?", and looked at us like we were stupid. When I told him that we had never been rock climbing, he said we could only go on certain parts of the wall, (which I understand the liabilities), but I HAD CALLED THE DAY BEFORE and been told that there would be someone to help us climb. Anyways, this is the first review I have ever written because I do believe everyone has their bad days, but the customer service was so bad and it was such a bad experience I felt like other people should know what to expect. I will never try going there again, or recommend it to anyone else. read more

I have been going to this gym for a bit now and love it. The community is awesome and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Just this week one of the employees helped me pick out a new pair of climbing shoes and they don't even sell climbing shoes... Management really seems to care about keeping the gym constantly improving. From general aesthetics like updated changing rooms to improved workout equipment, you can tell they care. New routes get set frequently so there are always new problems to work on, making a monthly pass well worth it. read more

Nice place, good vibe, good for walls for adults. Took my son for spidermonkeys class, it was 2 hours long and he got on the wall 4 times. Too many kids and not enough attentive teachers. Instructors were young girls more interested in talking to themselves and their friends that stop by than the kids. Cant tell you how many times kids are on the wall and their attention was somewhere else. read more
