I am really torn about this review because our server was absolutely fantastic! She was fun, welcoming, and provided awesome service throughout our visit. Was looking for someplace close to my hotel. This fit the bill and Google reviews had at 4.5 stars. So I decided to take a try. The ambience is OK, and they had music, but it was very very loud and it was hard to hear yourself think. It was just a banjo guitar band, but they were miked up in a small room. The weight staff was nice, but kind of inattentive and looked like they were only tending to the regulars pretty much. Friendly got a local beer, which was great. They ordered some wings and fries. We got the onion rings and 25 bone in wings. Flavors we got: the slayer, gold rush, Wild West, the boss (dry rub) and the fireball. The onion rings have a beer batter. Our favorite wing flavors were gold rush and fireball and the slayer as runner up. The spice levels are more mild as someone who likes heavy heat. Service was good overall. This was the first time we ate here since it re-opened. The good news is that it was fast and the wings tasted good. The bad news was the onion rings. There were only 4 in our order! Worse yet, they were very soggy and greasy to the point we couldn't eat them. This place is actually pretty cool and the wings are good but they have a serious problem with one of their bartenders. The guy was so rude to me that I wondered if I had done something to him. I tried to order a couple beers and they were busy. The elderly lady standing next to me had been waiting for a while so I told her if I can get someone's attention I'll order your drink too. I ordered my beers and said that lady right there wants a rum & coke. He looked at me and said this is my area. He flat out refused to pour her drink and treated me like a disease. She then walked down and he took her order. This guy needs to go work at the DMV because bartending is DEFINITELY NOT HIS FORTE. If I owned this place and had employees treating my customers like that I'd resolve immediately. Until this guy isn't there I'm not going back. Aside from that the place is pretty solid. This has been the worst service I've ever gotten in all the years..Lori the bartender was definitely on something..she had to stop and think about everything she was doing....waited half hour to be served to order a drink and still couldn't get it right..mind you there was obly a few people at the bar..when we order dinner no silverware...she even held on to my credit card had to remind her she had it...this place will never succeed with her there. read more

So many flavors to choose from at Wild Wing. I got the 6 and 6, which are 6 wings and 6 tenders. Honey lime sriracha wings and ginger tenders. Frankly, I liked the ginger tenders more than the wings. Just a thought for me next time. The tenders are too big to just pop in your mouth unless you are not wanting to talk for a minute. The sriracha had a bit of heat and was what I wanted. All of the chicken (wings and round tenders) was tasty and tender. I have not been to a Wild Wing Cafe in quite a while so this was a welcome reentry into the chicken world. Yum! The only downer was waiting for the wait staff, as we were seated in an area toward the front near a table of about 20 men women and children that had more attention (obviously) than the four of us, but even so, it would be nice to get some attention. Perhaps the manager would ensure that one wait staff is not overwhelmed with an extremely large table. Lost one star for that. read more

Update: we've been twice since my original review. The second time everything was good but it was awkwardly quiet and empty. The third time we had an extremely rude waitress. The food is pretty good but it's not worth coming all the way to Knoxville for decent food and terrible service. The food was really good, better than Buffalo Wild Wings. Ordered Wings that weren't supposed to be spicy and they still had a spice to them. The restaurant was clean but the bathrooms weren't. While we were eating our waiter was good with keeping up with our drinks but he never gave us wet naps. I think they should be left on the table of a wing restaurant. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and my fiancé asked the waiter to bring wipes. The restaurant inside and out has a nice atmosphere and the associates were all really nice and attentive. Every year at Christmas when our family gets together, my cousins and I come to Wild Wings for the all you can eat buffet. The wings here are big and delicious. If you want to try the best flavors, make sure you get The Boss and Wild West. The blue cheese and ranch here are superior to any other wing place besides Taco Mac. Once we got our food, we were completely forgotten by our waitress and never had our waters refilled and never received the check until we asked another waitress. I wonder if we walked away she would have even noticed? This is not the first time we had bad service here. This place consistently has TERRIBLE service. My family and I (only 5 of us) went last night, and were there for over 2 hours. Our food took over 45 minutes to be brought out and, was luke-warm on top of everything else. Our waitress checked on us 1 time during that 45 minutes. To put the icing on the cake, this place has the audacity to put a "no conceal carry" sign out front in one of the most pro-2A areas of the USA. Tried this place out for the first time today. I'll start by saying that the food is good. Nothing super special, just typical wings and bar food, but it tastes good. The customer service, however, left a LOT to be desired. Our waiter was pretty much non-existent throughout our meal and when he finally came over he was rude and wasn't wearing his mask. And FYI...if you're looking for a restaurant that practices proper safety protocol for COVID, this isn't the place to go. The only two staff members I saw wearing their masks up around their face was the two gals at the hostess stand. The bartenders and waitstaff most certainly were not. If you're hankerin' for chicken wings with just about any imagineable sauce in this universe, Wild Wing Cafe is your kind of place. Located in a secluded, out-of-the-way place behind several chain hotels (I lived here for almost three years, and only just saw it for the first time a few months ago) it's hidden locale does not seem to be a hinderance because since my discovery of this place, it has always been packed solid and it doesn't seem to matter what time of the day or night. Parking is at a premium; with a circular drive parking pattern and no real lot per se, if you don't grab a close parking spots, you may end up walking about two blocks, But, as long as the weather is good, you can argue that you're working up an appetite and then after dinner, you can argue that you're walking it off! It was a pleasant early evening, so I opted to sit outside on the patio that abuts a sizeable lagoon with a large water feature. I am glad that seating was available outdoors, because there were over 300 people inside, participating in a trivia competion and the noise was quite frankly, deafening. My server was great ... knowledgeable, attentive and quite pleasant. I had the 20 piece wing plate with two different sauces, a sweet BBQ and a spicy orange dragon oriental sauce, a side of onion rings, a side of cole slaw, a Bourbon Sour and a diet Coke. The onion rings are by far, THE BEST, that I have ever consumed. The chicken wings were perfectly cooked and the sauces on each were superb! The cole slaw was bland and the Bourbon sour was really weak, plus they had just run out of my brand of Bourbon so they had to substitue. On the outside patio is a large full bar and the vibe was upbeat, postive and happening! This is definitely a place for groups and I can guarantee that you'll have a great time! read more

I hate to knock off a star on my update, but my experiences here are getting more and more disappointing. I used to come here every single week on Monday for wing night. Over time, I noticed the wings getting smaller, but I attributed that to using the "left overs" from the week and getting the small remnants before reorder, however I'm changing my mind on that. When they stopped doing wing night, we visited about once every three weeks because kids ate free and my son liked the kid's meal, but he's growing and it's not satisfying to him anymore. Now I only come once in a while for the weekday buffet and dinner on a rare occasion that my wife is busy and it's just me and the boy. The last three visits have made me want to take a long break from WW. I don't know what pigeon they get their wings from now, but I can't get full on 12 wings anymore... not even close. They are SOOOO small. Most of the time they are really dry and overcooked too. All the sauces are still tasty, but I think the current management probably doesn't care much about the wing quality anymore, they probably don't eat them, nor have them served to their family. I know I'd be EMBARRASSED to serve them to mine. Their salads are pretty good, maybe they should change their name to Wild Salad Cafe. Shame too, I won't darken the doors of the other wing place nearby and I can't get my kid to eat at BKW so I'm not sure where to get good wings anymore. Pleasantly surprised. We were craving wings. Not gourmet fancy smoked things. Buffalo wings. I looked around yelp and liked the pictures here. We tried on a thurs night. I didn't realize it was pretty much a huge sports bar. We're not really into sports bars, or big crowds but we were already there so we stayed. Our waitress, Jackeline, was wonderful, attentive and answered all our questions. We tried 4 different flavors and I loved the atomic and cajun. Next time I'll try a hotter flavor. Atomic has a medium heat and a good vinegar tang. Loved the flavor, wish it was hotter. The big surprise for the night was the onion rings. They are about perfect, a nice balance of crispy and bready. I'm craving more. If you like sports bars, it seems like a winner, tons of tv showing sporty things. Service: this was a busy night however I didn't see that our waitress had too many tables. Once we were seated they took our drink orders pretty quickly, I also ordered an appetizer. It took a while for us to get it, sadly it didn't come out right, but it still tasted really good. To fix it she did bring another app later that was corrected. The waitress just really seemed to take a long time to do anything and our food did take a while to come out. Food: the food is the reason this got 4 stars. I really like the food! Our appetizer was delicious and my wings were yummy as well! The one thing I didn't like was the sweet potato fries, they were burnt and unsalted. Had they been salted they would have been alright. I'm always nervous when walking into a Wild Wing Cafe. You either get amazing service and it's brutal. Fortunately, this location served us well when the petite blonde that came to our table knew the entire menu, every beer on tap and was prompt with service and friendliness. If you are fortunate to enjoy the same service there's few better places to come for decent food and ample TVs to watch games. As for the food, it's a grade up from Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters and at par with Twin Peaks. For a sports bar, it's adequate, fun and inviting with an upbeat atmosphere always on tap. You'll find hand-padded burgers, good wings, fresh salads and enough alcohol around for you to get through an entire sporting event. read more
