    Roumanian Skirt Steak
    Teri M.

Father's Day @ 5:15. We had reservations, and were seated right on time. Michelle, our server greeted us promptly, and provided truly amazing service throughout the course of the meal. I had the half slab of BBQ ribs, and hubby had the Roumanian skirt steak. Both were delicious. I added a baked potato to my order ($1.95 upcharge). The potato was ginormous...well worth the additional charge. Wildfire provides consistently great food AND great service. We love this place, and highly recommend it.

On the final day of the conference workshop at Oak Brook my colleagues and I were able to have lunch brought by Wildfire and I thought this was an excellent way to end off the week! The catering setup included sandwiches that allowed each attendee to quickly get their food and enjoy during the completion of the remaining session. I ultimately ended up going with the Turkey Sandwich with Cheese, Lettuce & Avocado and found that it was very good. Each ingredient in the sandwich tasted like they had been freshly prepared, and the combination of the flavors from the turkey and avocado were perfect to provide a nice taste contrast for the sandwich! It was delicious! The sandwich included chips and a chocolate chip cookie as an additional portion of each meal. The cookie was a great add on and wonderful treat with the lunch. It added the final touch of sweetness to end the meal on a Friday! Wildfire's catering was fantastic. They offered a very good, quality sandwiches. All items were prepared in each individual box or a separate bag for the catering order! Next time, I'll have to try eating at the Wildfire restaurant the next time I'm in the Chicago area!

We came here for a group dinner and were really impressed with both the food and the service. The staff were fast, efficient, clean, quiet, and super helpful everything ran so smoothly. The room was set up perfectly for our group, and there was so much food to go around! We loved the variety and flavor of each dish, and everyone left happy (and full!). Highly recommend this spot for large group dinners or celebrations they make it easy and enjoyable from start to finish.

Had a girls holiday dinner here. They have a separate GF menu. The service was good in the beginning but she had a lot of tables and didn't come back for quite awhile at the end. We ordered drinks and I started with the GF French onion soup. The crostini was a bit hard for my liking but the soup itself was good. For my entree I ordered a GF salad and au gratin potatoes. All of our food came out but I didn't receive my side. Our server came around towards the end and I asked for if my side was still coming. She brought it right away but we were pretty much done with our food. I opted for berry crumble for dessert and it was delicious. All my food also came out with an allergy stick for awareness.

Hey Yelpers, today the wifey and I slid to Wildlife Oak Brook. My wife has been dying to come here. We got there in the afternoon about a half hour after they opened. I liked the look of the restaurant nice steakhouse vibes. We ordered the Calamari to start. It was prepared properly! Nice crunch and very tender. Seasoned nicely and tasted fresh. Calamari is a basic appetizer that shouldn't be difficult and the nailed it. 7.5/10 My wife had the lemon pepper chicken breast. It had a nice char on it and it was very flavorful and tender! She had the BBQ rubbed sweet potato for her side and that sweet spud was delicious! Nice sweetness from the brown sugar and cinnamon also very flavorful She enjoyed it. 8/10 for the meal. Now for my food. I got the BBQ rib/chicken combo with fries. Although the chicken was pretty good it wasn't grilled. It had a cooked in the oven taste it. Not bad but I wouldn't get it again. The ribs were DEFINITELY oven prepared. And they were tender but not the flavor I was looking for. I didn't enjoy them. That was my fault for ordering BBQ instead of a steak. I'll give the chicken 6/10 & the ribs 3/10. Our server was nice but she wasn't attentive. The service was Med at best. 5/10. Maybe we'll return , maybe not. Tonight our family celebrated my husband and I's wedding anniversary. We did the same last year as well. We ordered a variety of items on the menu and the star of the note was the pork chops. We also had the skirt steak, prime rib sandwhich and the whole branzino. We were also gifted with a flourless chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary. Fermin was our server and was awesome the entire meal. The service is always great - quick and efficient! We will come back to celebrate for our other occasions!

My friend had a holiday party here and the food was great. Staff was decent. We were seated in a decent size room to accommodate the party, and everything ran smoothly based on my experience. Even though I arrived late the staff quickly assisted with taking my order etc. I loved the red sangria and really enjoyed the Cedar-Planked Salmon and the Loaded Giant Baked Potato! Overall, I had a good time and enjoyed the food. Now, this place is located in the Oakbrook Mall and I had to go up a few stairs outside to get to the restaurant. As for the ambiance as a I walked through the restaurant the noise was pretty loud, however, once in the room it was pretty quiet.

Food and atmosphere: not too shabby at all! Applewood-smoked bacon-wrapped sea scallop skewers (how's that for a mouthful!) appetizer was yum yum good! Our server was extra gracious, patient, and nice! She was so patient and kind in giving us extra extra time to order as we were catching up w/ an old friend. My coconut shrimp and roasted market veggies were good and tasty, but nothing too spectacular for me to cause a raving storm about. The restaurant had a nice feel and ambiance to it. Seats were comfy, and although my meal wasn't anything to rave about, I loved, loved our server!! She was one of my favorites!!

The Raspberry martini is my favorite!

My husband and I have made Wildfire our New Year's Eve lunch/dinner tradition for the past few years, and it never disappoints. The food, drinks, desserts, and overall vibe are consistently phenomenal. The staff are always friendly. It's the perfect way to ring in the new year.

Excellent service at the bar. Wonderful drink selection and the steak was amazing! The sides were very good (get the au grantin potatoes, not low in fat but man!!) and my Greek salad was more than we could eat. Pretty nice looking place next to a mall.

I love going here for my birthday. I think they have great food that i genuinely make a noise to when taking a bite. I really enjoy the filet due to the cut and how the texture is, but if you like other steaks, they are amazing as well. So good, would really recommend. Also!! I've been to wildfire before and tried their potatoes. If you like crispy, get the country style. If you like fancy and with a bit of cheese and milky, get the au gratin. If you like a regular one, get the baked potato. I'm a potato girl so I figured it out lol. It is expensive so do it like I do for my birthday or anniversary. Steak was fire ngl

Do you need a reservation? And if not, how long would the wait be on a Saturday?

I highly recommend reservations. The wait on a Saturday without a reservation would be very long - at least an hour.

Due to the relaxed COVID requirements, are they allowing non-vaccinated patons?

Yes, I didnt have a problem eating there and I'm not vaccinated.

Are they adhering to 50% capacity guidelines? Are patrons allowed to wait in the bar area or outside?

They were adhering to the guidelines on last Saturday. However people were allowed to wait in the bar area spaced out.

Is this location open for indoor dining?

Yes they have limited indoor dining.

I didn't see the French onion soup on the menu anymore has it been removed?

Hi Ashley, thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately we are not serving our French Onion Soup at this time.

We started with some lobster bisque and a lump crab cake appetizer. The bisque was sublime. The crab cake was mostly crab and paired with a delicious mustard sauce. My only complaint was that I wanted more. Having recently experienced a subpar upscale chain restaurant steak dinner at another restaurant, I was gun shy to order a steak, but was rewarded with one of the most tender and tasty cuts of beef in the Chicago suburbs. The literal topper was the red wine reduction...so good! My companion ordered (and shared!) the grilled scallops. A generous serving of tender, succulent scallops on a bed of delicious risotto. The combo made a great surf and turf experience. Desserts at these types of restaurants can be so overwhelming that even the thought of sharing seems like too much. But here, we had perfectly sized portions and a wonderful selection of treats to cap a great meal. We each ordered a different treat and it was the perfect amount. We are looking forward to bringing friends and family to return visits. Soon.

We sat in the bar and had a great server named Shawn. Shawn was engaging and provided great service. I'll definitely request him next time I visit. I wasn't drinking that night, but hubby solo'd it with a bourbon cocktail called a Paper Plane. He said it was very tasty, especially on the hot day. We shared the ahi tuna tartare to start. The tartare was a stack of tuna with tropical salsa and avocado. So fresh. It came with a basket of crispy lavish bread, I hope when the restaurant switches their recipe that they will continue making a seedless lavish for those who can't do nuts or seeds. Hubby had the wood grilled tenderloin salad for dinner. I had to get a taste of that tenderloin because it was cooked perfectly. It was so tasty and seasoned well. I had the wood grilled Idaho rainbow trout, swapping out the asparagus for carrots. The trout came with a dill mustard sauce which I nixed and just squeezed fresh lemon on the fish. The fish was moist and smoky. Of course, we had to get the little dessert shooters to end the meal. Hubby had the Belgian chocolate s'mores, which was ridiculously decadent. I had the more conservative raspberry cannoli dessert. These tiny sweet treats are delicious mini indulgences. I love them because you want something a little sweet at the end of a meal but don't want a huge dessert. I think they're perfect. I like Seasons 52 because every item on the menu has the calories listed. Their food is always very good and the service is top-notch. When I ordered the tuna appetizer, a manager came over right away and asked me about a seed allergy because they noticed I said no nuts and seeds on my reservation. They really pay attention to their customers needs. I highly recommend Seasons 52. Ask for Shawn!

The tomato sauce was flavorful, and the shaved Parmesan and arugula complemented the dish beautifully. Unfortunately, the arancini themselves were disappointing, as the coating was much too thick compared to the small amount of rice filling inside. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. The chicken was unfortunately very dry and overly salted. I chose the pappardelle with short rib ragù. The fresh pasta was excellent--perfectly made with a wonderful texture--but the ragù was also overly salted, which overshadowed what could have been a great dish. One of the highlights of our evening was the service. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The hostess, who may have been the owner, also stopped by our table to check on us, which we appreciated. Overall, this certainly wasn't the worst Italian restaurant we've visited, and there were several things we enjoyed. However, the entrées ultimately fell short of our expectations, especially for a special dinner.

Located in what used to be Anthony's, the Italian steakhouse, the ambiance is actually quite nice- but it's the service that needs some work. Murals on the walls, and a bar that stretches across the one wall. Even though there wasn't a big crowd on the night we were there- service was slow. We finally walked up to the bar to get our drinks. We ordered a snack of some chips and guac but it was disappointing as there wasn't enough guac to go with the quantity of chips provided. It looked harmless and we were mainly going for wine and to catch up with each other so I bought the certificate and off we went. The Den is located inside the Oak Brook Doubletree hotel and there is no indication from outside the hotel where the restaurant is so I punted as far as parking was concerned. Luckily, I picked the correct side of the hotel. At first glance, the inside of the restaurant is a little dated, but it was clean, cozy, and quiet. I was directed to pick any seat I wanted. Looking over the menu there were some affordable starters/small plates, and a decent selection of entrees (@ 5 non beef and 5 beef). The wine list was nothing special either in information or choice. I was going to start with a Pinot Noir, and asked about a particular Wine maker as nothing else was listed on the sheet besides the wine maker, appellation, variety and vintage. I knew that wine maker had several labels of Pinot Noir so I asked the server which they were pouring. He came back and said it wasn't listed on the bottle. I guess I could have asked to see the bottle, but it just seemed like too much work for me too. I went with it and it was fine. Started with a Caesar salad with no croutons. Not only were there no croutons, but the listed "crispy prosciutto" and cheese was missing. Whatever. I was STARVING and ate it without complaint. Next on the list was a cheese plate. The cheese plate was listed as having brie, blue and aged white cheddar, along with grapes, crackers and walnuts. What we got was a young yellow cheddar, some smoked gouda, and boursin cheese spread with crackers and dried cranberries. Again, i was using a gift certificate so I didn't want to make a fuss, but my sister and I brought it up to the server that basically nothing that was described on the plate was actually on the plate. Also mentioned the salad mistake too (might as well go for broke). He apologize and went back to the kitchen and see what was up. When he came back he apologize as he noticed the salad was incorrect but didn't do anything about it, and he also said that there were two different menus going on and the chef was working off a different menu. He then brought out a much bigger plate with a little brie, some blue cheese, what I think was a mild mexican cheese, and something that tasted like minibabybel. Still no cheddar. We ordered more wine, and got some olives and I ordered a rib-eye. The server suggested I get the all-you-can-eat NY strip, (thanks for bringing that up) but I still went with the rib-eye. While only 14 oz, it was decent and bone-in (which was a nice surprise) and I would think I great selling feature. For our third round of drinks, the server suggested a meritage they had. My sister stayed with the cab, but I tried it. It wasn't bad, but it was very warm. When we asked for the check, he brought it out and I noticed it was just under $100. I waited for him to come back and explained I had one of those $50 off it you spend $100 certificates and we would probably need to split another glass of wine. He explained that it would be no problem to just use the certificate now as he had not charged for the last round of drinks as a thank-you. That was really nice of him, but it was really something he should have addressed when he first dropped off the check..." hey folks, sorry for the inconveniences you've experienced. I got you a round of drinks. I hope you'll try us again." Overall, our server was nice, but he lacked presence on the floor. And there were only 5 tables at the most going on. Now I get that this is a hotel venue, so perhaps repeat business isn't a priority, but with better service and some quality control, I could see this place really taking off as an after-work location. As it is now, I would go back if someone else wanted to go, or if I had another gift certificate, but it definitely isn't on my list of "must go back" spots.

As we ordered drinks, he asked only my daughter (33 years old) and my niece (39 years old) for identification. My niece explained that she had her ID available digitally on her phone. Casper said he needed a physical ID but would check with a manager to see if the digital version could be accepted. After speaking with management, he returned and informed us that a digital ID would not be accepted. He explained that the restaurant's policy required physical IDs from anyone who appeared to be 30 years old or younger. When we expressed our frustration and said we would not be dining there because of this policy, he showed no concern and offered no apology. We were curious about a random age requirement if the server thought you "looked" 30 or younger although the legal drinking age in Illinois is 21. Before leaving, we asked to speak with a manager. Ryan, the manager, met us at the door, and we explained that we were disappointed that our niece could not order a drink despite having a valid digital ID. Rather than addressing our concern, he compared the situation to him being carded at liquor stores. We pointed out that this was a restaurant, not a liquor store, and that the policy appeared to be applied selectively based exclusively on the server's judgment. Ryan offered no apology and referred us to the General Manager. When Christa, the General Manager, joined us, we asked why the restaurant used a 30-year-old threshold when the legal drinking age in Illinois is 21. She initially stated that the policy was to request IDs from all guests ordering alcohol. I explained that only my daughter and niece had been asked for IDs. She then revised her explanation, saying that servers request IDs from anyone who appears younger than 30, making the policy exclusively dependent on the server's judgment. We also pointed out that we observed a nearby table of younger-looking guests had been served alcoholic beverages, but their server did not ask for their IDs. Christa questioned our observation. What was most disappointing was that neither Ryan nor Christa apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged our concerns. As first-time guests, we left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that we will not be dining at Perry's in Oakbrook again and has left a bad impression of Perry's management team, in general. If I could rate them a "no stars," I would.
