Easter Sunday was a hit! Eddie V's gorgeous restaurant was extremely satisfying! From complimentary parking, to the tasteful menu with the live music, it was a pretty dope vibe! The venue Wasn't too crowded which was a plus. I decided to have dinner with reservations @3pm with the App OpenTable. On time for my reservation with no wait time! Seated immediately, I was excited to have my waitress named Arielle. Immediately, she accompanied me with complimentary bread and water along with the restaurant cocktail and food menus. She was very happy to be able help in any way to make me comfortable and was just a joy to have. My first course was the Iceberg wedge BLT, with my cocktail smoked old fashioned. For the second course I spoiled myself with the filet medallions with lobster tail Oscar style accompaniment sides; truffled mac&cheese, and crab fried rice with mushrooms and scallions. Sheeeshh! That meal was phenomenal! Lobster sat perfectly on top of the beef medallions as they both were served and with gratitude I ate every bit of it! First of all, big shout out to Brian our server. We went yesterday for Mother's Day as my wife really wanted to go as she had a great experience at the Boston location. The calamari and Wagyu beef dumplings apps were both very good. Brian also gave us a couple free bisques as the wait was a bit long. The issue was 2/3 steak we ordered were way overdone. That is always a bummer when you have people without their meals. For the price, you have to send it back. My rib eye was very good but my wife and daughter's filets were well done vs medium rare. So while we had a great time and the service was top notch, the stars of the meals were not on point. read more

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make it feel like a special occasion. We've been to Eddie V's in the city before, so we were familiar with the food and upscale ambiance and this newer location absolutely did not disappoint. We opted to sit in the bar area to enjoy the live music on a Tuesday evening, which added a great touch to the atmosphere. Our server, James, was excellent. He surprised us with two complimentary glasses of champagne and was attentive throughout the entire dinner. A manager even stopped by to wish us a happy anniversary and personally let us know if there was anything they could do to make the evening as enjoyable as possible. Again very thoughtful gestures to make the evening feel special. To start, we had caught the last few minutes of happy hour oysters, which were very fresh and a dollar off each. The lump crab cakes were generous and tasty. I ordered the bone-in New York strip, cooked perfectly and incredibly juicy. The butter-poached lobster mashed potatoes were fluffy, creamy, and rich in flavor. My wife chose the filet with lobster tail, which was also outstanding. This was our first time trying out Eddie V's. We went on 12/24/25 to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea that people would be flocking here on Xmas Eve. The parking lot was obnoxiously packed. Thankfully, we were seated not too long after we checked in. I already had a reservation. Capital Grill does it better for special occasions, but I wrote birthday for special occasion at Eddie V's. The table wasn't decorated, my waiter didn't acknowledge, and I didn't get a birthday dessert. This place is good for any random night but yeah celebrate your special occasion elsewhere. Besides that, service was great. We ordered jumbo lump crab cake, parmesan sole, NY strip, truffled mac and cheese, and honey sriracha roasted brussel sprouts. We didn't order dessert since none of the items really stood out to me. Overall, the experience was 3 out of 5. -jumbo lump crab cake 5 - shareable between two people. I really enjoyed the flavor. -parmesan sole 5 - highlight of the meal. It was flaky, moist, and delicious. Big portion too. -NY strip 5 - we wanted medium rare but the first time they brought it out, it was well done. They took it back and brought it medium rare. The medium rare tasted good. -truffled mac and cheese 2 - there were some truffles in here but you won't really taste it. The taste is basically just regular mac and cheese. -sriracha roasted brussel sprouts 3 - it was okay. When I reheated it at home, it was kind of salty. At the restaurant it was fine. I proposed at Eddie V's in downtown Chicago years ago and always would go back for special events. I was sad to see that location close. I took my wife for a surprise date night visit in Oak Brook and we were not disappointed. The food was still excellent. Our server was exceptional. I think what needs to be remembered is that the happy hours for restaurants like this is for good drinks and a little food. Do not expect to get full from the happy hour menu. Amazing service and the food was mouth watering delicious! I'm gluten free and plenty of options! We had a party of 7, and everyone was very happy and we really enjoyed the warm ambiance. We've been a fan of Eddie V's for years - always going to the Chicago downtown location...until we moved out of the city and ultimately, they closed in River North. But fortunately, they opened close to us in Oak Brook. The look and feel of the restaurant is the same in Oak Brook - albeit, a bigger bar area....which is great b/c that's where we love to sit and enjoy the live music. Food and Drink wise hasn't changed a bit and still love everything. Our favorites are the Lobster Tacos, Crab stuffed shrimp, scallops, brussel sprouts, and the banana fosters butter cake dessert. I loved the interiors and the beautiful chandelier in the middle of the restaurant was perfect. Our server George was amazing and made great recommendations . We had the oysters, yellowtail sashimi , Tuna tartare, Chilean sea bass, Ahi Tuna and we got Brussels sprouts and Asparagus as sides. All the dishes were so flavorful . I'll start with the service, Joy was 5 stars FANTASTIC! She was on top of everything from our arrival to our departure. When she learned we were celebrating birthdays, she proceeded to decorate our table for10 with fun sprinkles. Her recommendations were on point, I always appreciate when our attendants have tasted the dishes and can provide insights. The food overall was 4 stars, I thought every appetizer was delicious, in order of my favorites: lobster tacos, crab cake, wagyu dumplings, lastly the calamari. I made reservations for my family to have Saturday night dinner for me and my dad's birthday. Joy surprised us with light glitter decorations on the table...it was unexpected nice touch. We ordered a lot...literally my bill was over $1000 but wasn't bad for 10 people. It was money well spent. The crab cakes were amazing. I also liked the lobster bisque, calamari, brussel sprouts, asparagus, Wagyu potstickers, and lobster tacos, crab rice for appetizers. The complimentary bread was also warm and fresh. I was pretty full from just the appetizers but I got the crusted Sole fish for my entree and I still ate half since it was so yummy. Had an wonderful large family dinner here he other night. Started off strong with welcoming valet service, friendly hostesses, and coat check at the table. Our server was wonderful and promptly arrived at the table upon seating. Throughout the night, we were checked in on multiple times my the manager. No notes on service whatsoever! The food was immediately impressive, as we started off with the seafood tower. It was fresh, the shrimp were perfectly crunchy (as opposed to the clearly farm-raised soft ones you are served at some other establishments), the oysters were so delicious we got 6 more, and the lobster was many of our favorite portion from the night. Don't skip this if you have a group of 3 or more! We also had 2 orders of the yellowtail sashimi which we thought was just fine. Our waitress split a caesar for us without asking because she heard me mention to my friend i'd like to share it, which was kind of her. Two of our party got lobster bisques and unfortunately it was not what we were expecting. This is something none of us would get again because it had an oddly sour taste- but I must compliment the large portion at the very least! The reason this is still easily 5 stars is because the rest of the food was truly exceptional. Everyone loved the tuna tartare, the surf and turf, the scallops, the sea bass, and the assorted cocktails i sampled of my friends. I especially would come back for the sea bass and the tuna tartare. The ambiance is moderately loud and more of a modern-chic decor choice than a warm and cozy one. No issue with one over the other, but something to note. Couldn't have had a better team running this place- we felt like we were friends with them already after eating here! This was an upscale evening from start to finish. We were greeted at the host stand and were seated quickly due to us having a reservation for Father's Day weekend. Our server introduced himself and was extremely professional, kind and entertaining throughout the course of the evening he offered suggestions and even put on a show when delivering my espresso martini the main lobster tacos were fantastic and my Chilean Seabass was buttery, smooth and perfectly made. Large bar/lounge area and nice size spacious dining room. Service is outstanding! I was here celebrating a friend birthday and there was a cute happy birthday note on the table and so many people stop by the table to wish her happy birthday and of course she was served a sweet birthday dessert. Service is definitely A+ here. Food was great, ordered the salmon, stuffed shrimp, crab cake, and crab salad. What stood out the most to me was the stuffed shrimp, nice large shrimp and the crab cake, it was delicious and huge! Full of big chucks of crab meat. Large enough for two people to share. All of the entrees were good with nice portions. Vibe and restaurant decor is amazing! I love how the chef send out little complimentary samples of food for you to try. My husband and I came in for the happy hour. Which, was an amazing experience! We both ordered the filet mignon sandwiches. They were delicious. They were crisp on the outside with a perfect pink center. The steak was soft and cooked to perfection! The bun was buttery and light. It was delightful. It also came with blue cheese. (Make sure to ask for it on the side. They put a lot on it!) That added a touch of saltness, creaminess, and funkiness all in one bite! Which, tied this whole wonderful sandwich together for one unforgettable meal. Also, the crispy fresh lettuce mellowed out the funkiness from the blue cheese and made for a nice crunch! Eddies has always been a favorite of mine as their food & service is spot on and time was no different, especially for just opening November 17th. They were running smoothly. The inside is very much as it was on Rush Street. Looks very nice. They had music in the corner as well. Have to give a shoutout to our bartender/server Stephen as he was outstanding. Very personable and great at his job. Everyone seemed to like him. I had the Parmesan Sole and it was absolutely delicious! So much flavor! Huge portion! My husband and I joined friends at Eddie V's this past weekend for dinner. It was our first time dining there. The restaurant is well-appointed with many tables and a great bar area. We sat in a smaller back room. We had brought a couple bottles of wine. The corkage fee was $25 per bottle. Jorge was our server and was engaging and friendly. However, there could be improvements as my water glass set empty, I had to ask for a bottle of wine to be uncorked so I could have a glass after requesting it when we were seated, and one friend asked twice for a glass of ice. The six of us shared appetizers to start. We had three orders of the lobster tacos since they come two per order so each one of us could have a taco. The lobster tacos were delicious with the crunchy petite sweet corn that added the perfect crunch with the tender sweet lobster. We also had one order of the steak tartare, which definitely was not enough for six of us to share. It was fresh and delicious, though. Not everyone had a piece of grilled baguette to enjoy with the tartare as they didn't supply six slices for the six of us. For dinner, my husband ordered the morel crusted lamb chops, which were generous in size. They were perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful. I had the Hong Kong seabass. The soy sauce broth was extremely salty and took away from the dish. However, the fish was a good-sized portion, moist and tender. We ordered two sides for the table to share to go along with dinner, the lobster mashed potatoes and the crab fried rice. I only had a smidge of the potatoes; they were decadent and rich. I can't speak to the taste of the crab fried rice since I didn't taste it. We ordered the bananas foster butter cake for the table to share at the end of the meal. It was served with pecan ice cream and whipped cream. We were celebrating our friend's birthday and they found out it was also my husband's birthday a couple days before so each of them received their own small butter cake on a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate. They also sprinkled the table with confetti and had a birthday card for our friend. Nice touches! I'm glad we experienced dining at Eddie V's, but I don't think we'll be back on a regular basis. Although, if you're celebrating an anniversary, birthday or something special, they do know how to celebrate and make it special. But the down side is that the place was dead on a Friday night, unsure if this is an indicator to an out of towner that the place is on the down slide - steak was under seasoned (10 oz filet) and appeared to be a fabricated filet. Valentines Dinner..... We'll start with service... Our waiter was nice and thorough. Managers were walking around smiling and greeting everyone. The vibe was great. Dinner I got the Filet and South African lobster with the Truffle Mac n Cheese (without truffle)... the best part of the meal was the steak, tender and juicy filet (and I'm not typically a fan of filet's) with chili rub and parmesan crust. - Mac n cheese - was cold, lower quality cheese and noodles than I've become accustomed. - None of the food came out piping hot, that was a huge miss for an 'upscale restaurant.' No sizzling steak or hot sides... the lobster was chilled/cold and it was supposed to be grilled? .... Seems like everything either came out the fridge and was slightly warmed OR it was sitting for a LONG time. - My husband had the 18oz NY strip, size was great and he liked the steak. He also had the au gratin potatoes - he wasn't a fan of the potatoes but they were the 'warmest' dish we received. Drink I had the Hope Diamond - really good and pretty drink. Probably the star of the show. Will we return? Unfortunately probably not. Nice service but the food serving temperatures and quality of sides are just not up to par. We dine at an Upscale restaurant every month and this time I did not walk away with the typical happy, well worth the spend belly (& neither did my husband). Another memorable takeaway- our waiter was moving around things on our table and spilled some of my Hope Diamond drink, no offer to replace or accommodate his accident at all. The Ahi dinner was the BEST I ever had and if I could leave ten stars I would The only thing better than the Ahi was the wonderful service from our bartender Stephen. He made our evening even better and it was already pretty good. My only critque would be the ceasar salad. Loved the white anchovies however my husband makes a better ceasar so you could maybe jazz it up a bit.:) As former restaurant owners we really do appreciate great service and wonderful food. 5 Star All The Way! This is the first time we were at this location (downtown Chicago before they moved) and was a great experience. We went for our 41st anniversary and they decorated out table with a lit up 41 and other bling. We usuall go right into dinner. The steaks (Filets) were superb, drinks and wine were all 5 star. The Burrata Salad had Italian Burrata Cheese, Marcona Almonds, Truffle Honey, Sherry Vinaigrette. Honestly this salad was on the smaller portion but delicious! For main entree I chose the Filet Mignon 10 oz with the cognac peppercorn creme sauce . For side we chose the asparagus and the au gratin cheese potatoes. The steak let me tell you! Chefs kiss! Perfectly cooked to medium rare with juicy slightly hint of salt and dripping bloody good! For dessert we obviously couldn't choose between the crème brûlée or the banana foster. So we chose both . Large menu with Seafood and Steak. The Steaks were cooked to perfection and the Chocolate dessert was to die for. Great place for a celebration or impressive intimate date. There is a grand bar and the meeting/dining rooms impressed all of us. The service was friendly and attentive. They have an extensive list of craft cocktails that I'd like to try over the next 5 or 6 visits. The food was amazing! the Maine Lobster Bisque was even better than what The Clubhouse used to serve and that was our bogey fir bisque, I'll will be hard to beat Eddie V's. The broth was smooth and flavorful with a generous bite of lobster in the bottom of the bowl, then they pour the broth over it at the table. My strip steak was perfectly done and included a smaked chili rub. My wife loved her steak medallians Oscar style and said she'd order them again. And our friend loved her Jumbo Gulf Shrimp, which looked and smelled amazing. For sides, we chose the cheddar potatoes and crab fried rice and are highly recommendeed. The 3 of us shared two desserts that were rich and creamy; Warm Belgian Chocolate Cake and Berries in a Grand Marnier creme. We're coming back to celebrate a birthday next month.
