$108 twin lobsters 4/26

Food was Great! Service was good. The long waiting for the check at the end of a meal when you ask for it has to stop! Other then that place was nice! This place needs a five layer or more chocolate cake and a carrot cake on the menu

Honey Sriracha Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Cashews

This was our first time trying out Eddie V's. We went on 12/24/25 to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea that people would be flocking here on Xmas Eve. The parking lot was obnoxiously packed. Thankfully, we were seated not too long after we checked in. I already had a reservation. Capital Grill does it better for special occasions, but I wrote birthday for special occasion at Eddie V's. The table wasn't decorated, my waiter didn't acknowledge, and I didn't get a birthday dessert. This place is good for any random night but yeah celebrate your special occasion elsewhere. Besides that, service was great. We ordered jumbo lump crab cake, parmesan sole, NY strip, truffled mac and cheese, and honey sriracha roasted brussel sprouts. We didn't order dessert since none of the items really stood out to me. Overall, the experience was 3 out of 5. -jumbo lump crab cake 5 - shareable between two people. I really enjoyed the flavor. -parmesan sole 5 - highlight of the meal. It was flaky, moist, and delicious. Big portion too. -NY strip 5 - we wanted medium rare but the first time they brought it out, it was well done. They took it back and brought it medium rare. The medium rare tasted good. -truffled mac and cheese 2 - there were some truffles in here but you won't really taste it. The taste is basically just regular mac and cheese. -sriracha roasted brussel sprouts 3 - it was okay. When I reheated it at home, it was kind of salty. At the restaurant it was fine. You definitely need to eat it with rice or pasta.

Lobster bisque before the bisque is poured

Amazing service and the food was mouth watering delicious! I'm gluten free and plenty of options! We had a party of 7, and everyone was very happy and we really enjoyed the warm ambiance. A few of us got the goat Cheese mushroom salad, and we all thought it was so good! Loved the scallops! Brandon our server was professional and very easy to work with!! My husband loved his crab cake and bisque. The cocktail with basil oil was fantastic!! Thank you Brandon for making sure my gluten free allergy was seamless and safe.

Excellent food, vibe, and service. First time at the new Eddie V's Prime Seafood and we loved it. We had gotten reservations, upon arrival we were seated promptly. I loved the interiors and the beautiful chandelier in the middle of the restaurant was perfect. Our server George was amazing and made great recommendations . We had the oysters, yellowtail sashimi , Tuna tartare, Chilean sea bass, Ahi Tuna and we got Brussels sprouts and Asparagus as sides. All the dishes were so flavorful . It's a must visit place for amazing seafood options. They have a great steak options too but we were in the mood for sea food. I also love that they have my favorite Aqua Panna. Will definitely be back here to try other things on their menu. I was so full that I didn't get to try the dessert. Definitely trying that the next time around. Must visit spot, highly recommend!

Great overall dining experence. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The decor was on par with traditional steakhouse. Dark wood, chandelier low lighting with ample an mix of booths and tables. Very nice bar area with live music. If you prefer, you could easily have a light dinner at the bar. Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server Tere. She was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and her recommendations were on point. She had precision timing when bring out the next course......Simple wonderful service. The food: I must mention, this was my birthday celebration. My wife's birthday was earlier in the month and we had a disastrous dinner at a restaurant that shall not be named. So she was skeptical, since this was out first time here. For appetizers we had the lump crab cake and a half dozen oysters. Both were excellent. Tere suggest the type of oysters. They had four types. I was pleased with her suggestion. Our entrees were perfectly cooked. I had the bone-in ribeye and my wife had the salmon. Needless to say, she was exceedingly please. Both the steak and fish was prepared to our preferred specifications. We also ordered two sharable sides, mashed potatoes and truffle mac and cheese, to accompany the our entrees. We finshed the dinner off with the Banana Foster Butter cake flambé......Delicious......We were beyond please with the complete dining experence. We will definitely be returning soon.

I'll start with the service, Joy was 5 stars FANTASTIC! She was on top of everything from our arrival to our departure. When she learned we were celebrating birthdays, she proceeded to decorate our table for10 with fun sprinkles. Her recommendations were on point, I always appreciate when our attendants have tasted the dishes and can provide insights. The food overall was 4 stars, I thought every appetizer was delicious, in order of my favorites: lobster tacos, crab cake, wagyu dumplings, lastly the calamari. The lobster bisque was underwhelming especially coming on the heels of delicious and flavorful appetizers. For the entrees, the sea bass, the sole, and the 12oz wagyu were all delicious. The crab stuffed shrimp and scallops were ok. The crab fried rice for the accompaniment was a hit, but the lobster mashed potatoes was on the dry side and the asparagus was average. Joy surprised us with Happy Birthday dessert plates for each celebrant, awesome touch!

This restaurant has awesome food. The decor is very elegant. The service is top notch, our waitress Joy was the best. I made reservations for my family to have Saturday night dinner for me and my dad's birthday. Joy surprised us with light glitter decorations on the table...it was unexpected nice touch. We ordered a lot...literally my bill was over $1000 but wasn't bad for 10 people. It was money well spent. The crab cakes were amazing. I also liked the lobster bisque, calamari, brussel sprouts, asparagus, Wagyu potstickers, and lobster tacos, crab rice for appetizers. The complimentary bread was also warm and fresh. I was pretty full from just the appetizers but I got the crusted Sole fish for my entree and I still ate half since it was so yummy. I also tried some of my family's entrees and my favorite was the sea bass. Joy surprised me with a flaming happy birthday plate which was so nice! I had a great time with my family in a nice restaurant with very good food and service. What a way to spend my birthday!

Delicious bread service

From the moment we entered the restaurant, it was an exceptional experience. The impressive chandeliers and luxurious ambiance draws you immediately in to an evening of luxury and delicious cuisine. The staff - from the hostess to the servers and managers- were amazing, gracious and perfectly attentive. The food was so impeccable and mouthwatering, we were teased into overeating which can be very easy to do here. We came for the golden night lobster roll and wine pairing event and will be back to sample delicacies from their main menu.

Yellowtail Sashimi

Had an wonderful large family dinner here he other night. Started off strong with welcoming valet service, friendly hostesses, and coat check at the table. Our server was wonderful and promptly arrived at the table upon seating. Throughout the night, we were checked in on multiple times my the manager. No notes on service whatsoever! The food was immediately impressive, as we started off with the seafood tower. It was fresh, the shrimp were perfectly crunchy (as opposed to the clearly farm-raised soft ones you are served at some other establishments), the oysters were so delicious we got 6 more, and the lobster was many of our favorite portion from the night. Don't skip this if you have a group of 3 or more! We also had 2 orders of the yellowtail sashimi which we thought was just fine. Our waitress split a caesar for us without asking because she heard me mention to my friend i'd like to share it, which was kind of her. Two of our party got lobster bisques and unfortunately it was not what we were expecting. This is something none of us would get again because it had an oddly sour taste- but I must compliment the large portion at the very least! The reason this is still easily 5 stars is because the rest of the food was truly exceptional. Everyone loved the tuna tartare, the surf and turf, the scallops, the sea bass, and the assorted cocktails i sampled of my friends. I especially would come back for the sea bass and the tuna tartare. The ambiance is moderately loud and more of a modern-chic decor choice than a warm and cozy one. No issue with one over the other, but something to note. Couldn't have had a better team running this place- we felt like we were friends with them already after eating here! Will definitely be back to try the scallops entree (i had the 3 price addition this time), get another seafood tower, and try more cocktails!

This was an upscale evening from start to finish. We were greeted at the host stand and were seated quickly due to us having a reservation for Father's Day weekend. Our server introduced himself and was extremely professional, kind and entertaining throughout the course of the evening he offered suggestions and even put on a show when delivering my espresso martini the main lobster tacos were fantastic and my Chilean Seabass was buttery, smooth and perfectly made. When you're paying a high price point you want to see that in every aspect of the experience and I felt we did just that.

Jumbo Lump Crab Cake - delicious!!

Great addition to Oakbrook/Lombard! This space used to be McCormick & Schmidt's and now it's been revamped to the lovely Eddie V's. The space is beautiful. Large bar/lounge area and nice size spacious dining room. Service is outstanding! I was here celebrating a friend birthday and there was a cute happy birthday note on the table and so many people stop by the table to wish her happy birthday and of course she was served a sweet birthday dessert. Service is definitely A+ here. Food was great, ordered the salmon, stuffed shrimp, crab cake, and crab salad. What stood out the most to me was the stuffed shrimp, nice large shrimp and the crab cake, it was delicious and huge! Full of big chucks of crab meat. Large enough for two people to share. All of the entrees were good with nice portions. Vibe and restaurant decor is amazing! I love how the chef send out little complimentary samples of food for you to try. Such a nice touch of class that I have not experienced anywhere else. Drinks were tasty, but not very potent or the one I ordered wasn't, which was the Hope Diamond. It was just very pretty with a beautiful presentation. Overall great memorable experience.

Eddie V's Prime Seafood is one of those places where you instantly fall in love with everything! From the romantic ambience to the incredible service. Everything is perfect! My husband and I came in for the happy hour. Which, was an amazing experience! We both ordered the filet mignon sandwiches. They were delicious. They were crisp on the outside with a perfect pink center. The steak was soft and cooked to perfection! The bun was buttery and light. It was delightful. It also came with blue cheese. (Make sure to ask for it on the side. They put a lot on it!) That added a touch of saltness, creaminess, and funkiness all in one bite! Which, tied this whole wonderful sandwich together for one unforgettable meal. Also, the crispy fresh lettuce mellowed out the funkiness from the blue cheese and made for a nice crunch! I absolutely loved it. Our server was also super sweet and didn't treat us any different even though we only ordered sandwiches. Which, I appreciated! He made us feel wonderful! I can't wait until we come back! This was an amazing experience! Everything was beautiful, everyone was kind, and the food was incredible!

Between the 2, I preferred the prickly pear. It was just the right amount of sweet. Very refreshing and easy to drink. This was my first alcoholic beverage since giving birth, so for me, it was strong. For others? It might not be, lol. This is a place where I see myself coming back to. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!…read more I am so happy that we chose Capital Grille in Lombard for our "Happy Birthday celebration." The service was impeccable, food outstanding, and ambiance was flawless. All of our guests couldn't say enough about this outstanding event (and they are still talking). So my husband and I went to dinner yesterday at CG to take advantage of this limited menu. I love going to Capital Grille for the ambience and the impeccable service as well as their good food. We sat in the beautiful bar area. Jon was our server and was personable and attentive. First, we started with sharing the roasted beet and goat cheese salad off the main menu. It had a large cubes of roasted beef with crumbled goat cheese and a light citrus vinaigrette. Then we had our burgers. Hubby had The Grille's Wagyu Cheeseburger with grilled onions, steak sauce and Vermont white cheddar served with sea salt fries. I chose the Wagyu Blue Cheese & Black Truffle Burger with cabernet-braised red onions with truffle parmesan fries. Jan informed me that I could switch to truffle fries and I was in. We ordered our burgers medium rare and they came out perfectly cooked. The only issue I had was the burger had seeds on the brioche bun and I can't do seeds or nuts. When I pointed that out they immediately took my burger and back and change the bun for me. It was my bad for not making sure there were no seeds on the bun. My husband and I both went with the suggested wine to complement our burgers. He had the Merlot and I had the Cabernet, which we both enjoyed CG's pairing. This menu is such a good deal because the wine that went with my blue cheese burger was an Orin Swift Palermo Cabernet, which runs $32 a glass on Capital Grille's menu. So I enjoyed a damn good burger with that pricey full-bodied Cabernet both for $35. Dinner was absolutely delicious! If you get a chance, head over to Capitol Grill for their Wagyu & Wine special menu. It's running for another six weeks.
