There was a crowd outside, but only a 20 minute wait for our Sunday visit. The food was pretty good. French Toast was amazing. (They will let you sub a piece if you don't want pancakes - yay!) . My husband got a side of the Chile Verde and it was tasty dip for their Wild Potatoes. Wildflower is really tiny, but they can support 8-tops, and they turned tables pretty quickly. All of the waitresses that day worked extremely hard but were always friendly. We were told the breakfast potatoes were good and that was to say the least! 3. Owner/manager's attitude bordered on over-the-top cheeky but he seems to know how to walk a fine between being too in your face vs caring about your experience. 4. My husband and I really enjoy this little cafe in downtown Evergreen. The best advice I can give about getting there is get there early or be prepared to wait because it's a very small but obviously very good breakfast Cafe. Every time we have come here the food has been great no matter what anyone orders. The portions are quite substantial and not too pricey. They cater to both meet eaters, vegetarian, and kids who like pancakes. The coffee is really smooth and they keep it coming they also offer mimosas and Bloody Mary drinks so you can't go wrong with any of the beverages either. The breakfast burrito is a smothered burrito with their green chilies and a refried bean and cheese sauce. These burritos are incredible flavor and are filled with eggs and some garden veggies and not all potatoes. Speaking of potatoes, the wild potatoes that come with most breakfasts or something you really have to sample. These potatoes are sliced been an long ways and are just the right amount of crispy around the edges and soft in the middle & really delicious. They have their homemade berry jam they make and leave on the table and the pancakes are the size of a Fiesta ware plate. Food in it isn't just airplane white gravy it have a lot of flavor. . If there is a drawbck it is that it can be loud due to the small area where everyone is seated & a single unisex bathroom. Evergreen, Colorado- Mom and I visited near closing and didn't even get the "are-you-seriously-going-to-have-us-dirty-the-kitchen-again-look." When we read on the door they were about to close we offered to come back another time but no- we were ushered in and offered an awesome spot by the window. I chose this place strictly off the amazing reviews everyone has given it and I have to say....blah. Definitely not my cup of tea! Not sure if I should start with the bad or good since there was more bad than good. So I'll just start from beginning to end. The wait.... we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait, okay no problem since we did expect to wait. About 20-25 minutes went by and we were offered the "bar" area, but I prefer a table so she said it would be just a few minutes....we waited almost an hour in total! Seating is atrocious. They have, I believe, 7 tables and most of them are 2 seaters. They have a counter area that fits I believe 3 stools, but literally smack dab where you'd be sitting there is someone sitting right behind you maybe 1 1/2 feet away, at the most! I don't think the waitress could fit between this seating area so if you're claustrophobic, even a little, this place should be passed by. There are a few tables outside, but these are tiny as well so don't expect more than 2 people to sit at one. The noise level is horrible! The music playing in the kitchen was extremely loud which contributed to the folks in the dining area talking super loud and with this place being as tiny as it is, it just wasn't a pleasant atmosphere. Okay so on to the food. I got the Chicken Fried Steak with the biscuit and sausage gravy and an order of the consistently mentioned "Wildflower potatoes". My bf got the Ricardo and his son a plate size pancake. Now I'll give kudos on the pancake since the kid said it was the best he ever had, but it was just a plain pancake so really how can you screw that up!? My bf said his steak was just "ok", but nothing fabulous. My meal was, well something I would never order again. I'm not sure what kind of sausage gravy it was supposed to be, but it was just horrible. It had some kind of seasoning that does not belong in a breakfast gravy, IMO. I forced down about half of my dish and gave the rest to my bf who agreed it was not very good. And the wildflower potatoes.... I expected something WOW, but they were just ordinary fried potatoes with some salt on them. All in all I was pretty disappointed in this place. So I went to Wildflower with my family for the first time because our Air BnB recommended it. The restaurant was extremely cute, but small which is okay. Here was our terrible experience. My mom went in to put our name down for a table and this lady (who I think is the owner) wouldn't acknowledge my mom's presence. She attended a few families behind us when they walked in but totally ignored us. She rolled her eyes at my mom and finally the kind young server was the one who took our name and sat us down. Our server was lovely and extremely kind to us but unfortunately we had to communicate with the owner because she was the only other server in the restaurant and man this lady did not want to talk to us. What was insane to us was how kind she was to EVERYONE else, she talked to them, asked about their day, where they were from and gave them the best service but with us, it was as if we didn't exist. Finally I grabbed her attention because I wanted more coffee and she rolled her eyes and gave me the coffee and walked away. My mother had to leave the restaurant due to her discomfort with this woman and my brothers who are 15 and 16 felt that she was being ugly to us because she was obviously racist. It is very unfortunate because we are "darker" but we're American and me saying that shouldn't have to matter. We stood out in the restaurant and watching her give the best service to everyone but us was just hurtful. Finally at the end, I asked for the bill and she immediately grabbed my card, charged it and then threw it at our table when she was done. I'm so disappointed and disgusted at this lady and the level of disrespectful she was to me and my family. Awesome place for breakfast! The potatoes are the absolute best! This place is hidden in Evergreen, CO. If you somehow end up here for breakfast it is well worth the drive. I actually take a fairly long drive from Littleton JUST TO EAT THE FRICKIN POTATOES (I actually live in Arizona so I come a bit farther than that but I also stay in Littleton). I've been to Wildflower a few times for breakfast and lunch. On a weekend, be prepared to wait at least 30-40 minutes for a table for breakfast/brunch. On a weekday for lunch, there's usually no wait. Seating inside is pretty tight and can get stuffy. No matter how nice it is outside, I do not recommend sitting outside because the outside stools are very uncomfortable and tables are small. Service when I am inside has generally been okay. Sitting outside, my order was taken, meal served, and check was brought to us. Eggs are good and made to order. My boyfriend loves the skillets. I would not recommend biscuits and gravy. It may have been an off day when I ordered biscuits and gravy, but the gravy tasted like flour paste. Coffee there is great. read more

When the food finally came one of the dishes was cold. When we sat down l had ordered a drink that didn't come out until after the food (so over an hour later). It was hard to find a server to address any of the issues until it was time to pay On a positive note the food that was warm tasted good and when we did see one of the three servers they were pretty friendly . This is a regular locals breakfast spot but there are also out of town regulars that drive some distance for the great food and small town Main Street atmosphere. I personally love the skillets, my husband loves the burrito, my kids love the pancakes. The green chili is my most favorite and is a great add on to the fajita skillets. This is a TINY TINY restaurant but honestly I've never seen wait staff for breakfast that is as fantastic as the crew here. They are always smiling, always helpful, and your food comes out FAST. The boring breakfast is my favorite. But the staff and the ambiance keeps me coming back over and over. Went here following a hike in evergreen. Even though it was fathers day and extremely busy, the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was soo good. I had the veggie skillet, very tasty and fresh. Someone in my party got scrambled eggs, and they were the fluffiness ever. The ambience is very cute and comfortable, but this isn't a big place. Be prepared to get cozy. read more

We were taking a drive up the mountains to enjoy the crisp autumn weather so we decided to make a detour to this cafe recommended by several Yelp users. I agree with the other reviewers. This place is tiny (especially if you have a baby in a car seat in tow) but the food was worth it. We did have a bit of a wait to get in at noon on a Sunday. But we were hungry, wanted brunch, and wanted a bloody Mary. The service was good (the staff is very friendly) but the place was a bit loud. It could be that we were sitting by the kitchen and they had their music playing (which I understand - I enjoy my music while working). If you're a huevos rancheros fan, I recommend that. I was in town for work and popped in here for a quick lunch. The location was great; easy to navigate to and a really cute atmosphere. The waiter was excellent. Very personable and obviously the locals knew and liked him and the restaurant. I know a place is good when a lot of locals eat there. Food: I had the queso skillet breakfast which was great. Unfortunately, I was on a tight time crunch and had to eat too quickly to really savor it. All of the ingredients were fresh and the flavor a were great. It was so good I'm considering going back again before I fly back home. Only downside for me is that they aren't open for dinner. But the Yelp reviews convinced me that it would be good enough to make it happen at lunch. It was worth it. read more
