We went there Friday night for our anniversary and the minute we got there, we were seated right away. We did have a reservation. Friday night was packed and busy. The decor inside was nice and modern. We had breads and dips as starters and I ordered Spanish paella, my husband had short rib ravioli, our teenagers split smoke mozzarella ravioli. Our food tasted great and it just perfect. The only problem was the food portion was quite small for that amount of money. At the end of dinner, we ordered 2 desserts. Our teens shared cinnamon donuts and my husband and I shared bars of sin. Since it was our anniversary, our dessert was on the house (just ours, not the teens'). It was nice of them. First time customer. I used the $10 off $20 coupon that is promoted online. I Ordered the Short Rib to go. Not impressive. I thought I would at least get a piece of bread with my order. The short rib was just ok. Very little stuffing and gravy. Too much oil. Not worth the $28. I don't think it was even worth it with the discount. Maybe when you dine in it's better? Or Maybe this overpriced restaurant is not for me. 1/2 an hour after the meal my stomach is still upset. I think because it was way too greasy. read more

On a weekend trip to Tucson, my husband and I happened upon Wildflower. Thinking it was associated with the Wildflower restaurants in Maricopa County (which we like a lot), we stopped in for lunch. Turns out to be a Fox Restaurant (www.foxrc.com) and not associated, but was really nice regardless. I had a grilled shrimp and avocado quinoa bowl. It was delicious...sweet caramelized veggies contrasted nicely with the fresh avocado and savory shrimp. I have a pet peeve with tails left on shrimp in a sauce (Pick up the shrimp and get messy...or cut off the tail and leave a yummy piece behind?) but that's just me. Hubbie had the French Dip sandwich with fries. The fries were perfect, crispy outside, fluffy inside. The sandwich was fine, unremarkable but filling. The restaurant was very busy at lunchtime, but we were seated quickly. They have lovely outdoor seating, but we were surprised to find that it was louder on the patio than in the attractive dining room, so we opted to eat inside. The service was impeccable! read more

I visited with my 87 year old mom and 89 year old dad. We sat inside in a long booth. We were there at around 5:00 for an early dinner--maybe because it was early, we didn't find the music or noise to be a problem at all. The food was truly amazing. We started with the artichoke--the dip was the best thing ever. Although the whole thing was a bit messy, it was worth it. I had the pan fried chicken, my mom had a salad with shrimp and my dad had the fish and chips. We all practically licked our plates clean. The dessert menu came, and I opted out even though I am a known dessert lover--nothing sounded good. Foolish me, my mom ordered Bars of Sin. Once I saw them, I had to taste. Delicious. 100% perfection. So perfect 5 star review. If I had to offer one suggestion--rewrite the dessert menu. The mule & Margarita were both good and strong, I love when a drink is strong since I know i'm not being cheaped out on alcohol for a high priced drink. For an appetizer, the calamari was a 10/10. A must have. The Braised Beef Ravioli was ordered by 3/7 of us & was absolutely delightful. Creamy yet very light, everyone was able to clean their plates. The Lemongrass Skewered Scallops were really good, especially with the black rice. The scallops themselves were a bit salty at times though. The Shrimp & Avocado was also enjoyed, as well as the Salmon dish. Finally, the bolognese was some of the best bolognese I've had in a very long time, & it came with two pieces of really great garlic bread. We were there for my parent's anniversary and they comped a desert with "happy anniversary" on the plate which was a nice touch! Finally made a stop in at Wildflower. The weather was lovely and we wanted to sit out on the patio, but COVID. They couldn't accommodate more on the patio at that time. So we sat in one of their very blue velvet curved booths. I must say, the place is fantastic looking. I felt like I was at an upscale 1960s garden party. Hard to explain and once again I fail for not taking pictures. The patio definitely felt garden party, but inside as well. I had a pasta dish, my husband a sandwich. The food was okay, nothing phenomenal. But the decor makes me want to go back. Silly, but true. So eventually, I will make my way back, and see if I feel differently about the food... read more

We sat on the dog patios and our two dogs behaved extremely well which was probably due to the excellent service and half price bottle of wine that their guardians enjoyed. One of my favorite restaurants in Tucson! Pros: (1) Tuesday nights are wine nights--all bottles/glasses of wine are half off; (2) Excellent service. We had a very knowledgeable waiter with respect not only to the menu, but the concepts and histories behind all Fox Restaurants; (3) classy atmosphere but nevertheless relaxed and chic; (4) excellent food. The Spanish paella was tasty--the seafood was fresh (the waiter represented to us that seafoods are flown in), and the rice was juicy and flavorful. The chef's board had a good amount of variety. A couple friends and I came in to celebrate our birthdays. We went in without much expectation, and all I can say is WOW. Our experience at Wildflower was one of the best dining experiences all of us had ever had. We started off with some appetizers- the black mussels, seasonal salad, and calamari. All of these had amazing flavor and texture, especially the black mussels. The broth was absolutely delicious to dip the grilled bread in! We also got some complimentary bread, which had a really good parmesan & oil to dip in. Our entrees were also fantastic, we got the pork chop, short rib ravioli, and the scallops. All of these were super delicious and well prepared/cooked- especially the pork chop. Our server, Sean, asked if we wanted more bread and surprisingly they even made some fresh for us! Sean also offered us EACH a complimentary dessert, which were all super good and had the perfect balance of sweet. At the end, he told us he had comped our appetizers as an apology for the wait of the entrees- something we totally didn't notice (but was incredibly nice of him)! Wildflower, was a restaurant that my family decided to take my mother-in-law to for her birthday. I will admit, it was a fantastic choice. Upon arriving at the restaurant we found ourselves walking through a beautiful covered patio. The patio was full of patrons and everyone appeared to be having a great time. When we entered, we were sat immediately. No surprise here, we did make a reservation due to the large party size. nonetheless, it was nice that they held up their end of the bargain. The interior of the restaurant is modern and beautiful and sets the mode for a great time. The only drawback is the fact that there is nothing to catch the sound. So this made the restaurant quite noisy. The food was phenomenal. There were more than 12 different dishes ordered so I can say that I got a feel for the whole menu. I will say, that we sat for over an hour waiting on our dishes. I know that we had a large party, but an hour is a very long wait. With that said, the manager and the waitress handled it with grace and ensured that we were taken care. To the point of comping one of the meals. If you are looking for a great celebration spot or a romantic date night, I assure you that Wildflower will take care of you. read more

Four stars a little generous. Wildflower was extremely busy for a Friday at noon to 2 o'clock. I would definitely recommend reservations if you want to sit on the patio or have a shorter wait time. Although another customer said this wasn't a place for children our almost to-year-old did just fine even seated inside The food was good and the service was okay, wished they stopped by to check more frequently and to refill drinks. We started with the chef's board ($16). It had a nice variety but it definitely is not the best chefs board I have ever had. Toast was very burnt on one side which impacted the taste. My ahi salad ($16.50) was overdressed and the ahi had extreme variations in the quality. Some pieces were nice and bright pink and others were dark brown which made me concerned. My daughter really enjoyed her fish and fries chips ($17). Her food was hot and well seasoned. My granddaughter enjoyed having tastes from all of our plates. I guess there is a secret children's menu but it was not offered by the waiter and I did not know to ask. Not sure about another visit but it was nice to go somewhere new.
