The chicken that I ate was just right! It came with a side of mashed potatoes, and it the dish combined was wonderful. Everything tasted fresh, and while slightly salty, I'm used to eating bland foods so that was excusable. My boyfriend and I came here for our valentines celebration. Yes you can't expect much on one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. But we had to wait AN HOUR past our reservation to get seated. Reservation was at 8:15pm and seated a 9:15pm. By the time we were seated, we were pretty fed up. Then, our waitress came by and asked for our appetizer, main, and dessert all at once because of the fixed menu. Barely acknowledged us. The place was full and busy. I asked if I could be seated since it was just me. They asked me if I didn't mind the bar, and of course I said sure. They seated me right away! I ordered a Scottish Ale by Four Peaks - Kilt-lifter. My goodness that ale was scrumptious. I decided on the wood grilled NY steak - I also asked for it to be rare. The server was - are you sure? I said yep. WOW. The steak was cooked perfectly, and well seasoned. I liked the creamed spinach - but my favorite part was the steak, and brussels. My most rave - is the steak. I am sorely tempted to go back before I leave for another steak. It is really hard to come by restaurants who KNOWS how to season the steak properly. I got the butterscotch dessert - yummy, but a bit too sweet for me. I just want the steak again! One last note, the service was friendly and timely. I got my food literally within 15 minutes of drinking beer and reading a book on kindle. I like the ladies behind the bar - they were respectable, had a good smile, and manners. I did not realize this place was part of a chain but all in all it still has a small gourmet feeling to it. The food was fantastic and the service was more than polite. We started our meal with the calamari. It is a bit different than the traditional Italian version as it is a tempura batter with Japanese greens and a citrus dressing. I know sounds odd but worth the try. I had the grilled chicken soft tacos with fresh shaved sarano peppers on top . Wish they were a bit spicier but every component had good flavor. Went for dinner with friends and two of us ordered a salad with salmon which was ok but not even a cups worth of greens. One of us ordered the the dinner special $26.00 which was to have a medley of different fishes and pasta (fish stew) Well what a disappointment! The portion was so small we could count the number of pieces of pasta in it and barely any fish, it was more like an appetizer than a meal. I went here for my birthday dinner. It was a very pleasant experience. The waiters, not just our own, were all so helpful and accommodating. I love the look and feel of the restaurant because it isn't what you normally get in a Tucson restaurant. It had Northeastern vibes with the pastels and wainscotted walls. The food and cocktails were all very tasty. We ordered the mussels and chorizo as an appetizer. What a great broth they sit in! For my main course I chose the short rib ravioli. Everything on the plate complemented each other so well. But the piece de resistance was the dessert. We ordered the donuts that came with a side of berries and cream. My boyfriend dropped one of the donut holes on the ground. A passing waiter said "I will ask them to get you another one". Our waiter came back with a whole new order! So we ended up with 2 plates of donuts. So you could say it was a great birthday. read more

First time eating happy hour food here. Have eaten lunch and dinner at Wildflower many times. Four of us sat inside. Noise wasn't too loud with the dining room less than half full. Quieter outside, but too stuffy and hot this time of year for outdoor dining in the afternoon, even if their misting system was running full blast. I wanted to try something different, so I had asparagus bruschetta, bbq chicken tacos, and crispy shrimp with veggies. The latter was the best item I ate. I should have had a bowl of soup instead of the other two dishes. Shrimp was batter fried to perfection. I typically don't order or eat fried anything, so I'm glad I branched out. Service was good. The tall young hostess who's wearing 7-inch block heels she can barely walk in tried to seat us in a crappy table and when my older friend asked if we could please have a booth because we had a reservation and they were all open she responded like a petulant teen. We ordered the family pack to-go/curbside, which is an amazing deal for what you get: lasagna bolognese, salad, garlic bread, pesto, and butterscotch cream cake with vanilla gelato. The lasagna was top-notch, the salad was fresh and tasty, the garlic bread was delicious and not your basic French bread, the pesto tasted fresh and homemade, and the dessert was satisfying and yummy. Let me echo other reviewers praise over Wildflower's curbside pick up and online ordering efficiency. We are not ready to dine in and have been doing pick up since March and will continue probably for the next year (crying). Wildflower has a very good online ordering system and allows for tipping. Curbside pick up is very quick and we never need to leave our car. The 4 spaces up front are open for crubside pick up and you call and tell them which space you are in and they come out with your order. We have ordered the family dinner kit and it is fantastic. Actually we have done it 4 times over the last 5 months and each time we have enjoyed it. Lasagna/Salad/Bread/Pesto/Dessert. Seems like it feeds about 9 all for $50. My girlfriend and I come here at least three times a year for the mouth-watering chicken pappardelle dish. We also love to fawn over the beautiful bathroom and how pretty it is (we honestly say it every time we go in it). This time, she was thrilled to see there was a lobster salad on the "Spring" menu. (I've only ever seen a Spring or Fall menu, never Summer or Winter). Both pasta and salad were delicious. Of course, we had to top it off with the best melt-in-your-mouth house made donuts ever. Service was good, but nothing that stood out as extra special service. As with most Fox restaurants, they will give you a "to-go" iced tea, but I forgot to ask for one and the server didn't offer as they usually do. (Although it is a small thing, I enjoy the Fox iced tea as it has a slight tropical flavor, yet is unsweetened). As always, we forty-somethings felt as though we were the youngest ones on the place, but we never seem to care as the relaxed setting is usually just what we need in the middle of our hectic workday. read more

Yesterday my boyfriend took me here for my first time. I was really excited because I heard from multiple people how great this restaurant was. Everything was great at first. Until I was drinking my drink a piece of GLASS, yes GLASS went up my straw, and I almost swallowed it! I told the waitress, and she told the manager. The manager came to the table asked if I was okay and said she was sorry then left. Only time I saw her for like 10 seconds. She didn't seemed to bothered by it. We get the bill and we were fully charged for the drink (That I almost swallowed GLASS through! And I didn't even finish my drink!) I wasn't expecting some amazing discount but seemed like this restaurant didn't care there was glass in my drink.... Coming from someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for many years, I was very disappointed because the restaurants I've worked at wouldn't of taken this situation so lightly... But over all the restaurant's patio is was very nice, the food was good. My boyfriend had gotten the "oak fired new york strip steak", and he loved it. And I had the "spinach pappardelle" the noodles were a little bland but it was good at least. The waitress did a great job. read more
