Probably the worst bar I've been in. The food is over priced and underwhelming. The service is horrid.

Went for dinner with a group of 6 around 8:00 on a Saturday night. Hostess was very friendly and accommodating, we changed our mind twice and she took care of us. Their big thing is supposedly pulled pork, but they were out of ALL pork (sandwiches, ribs, etc.). The server was nice enough but definitely was not going above and beyond, even if we had actually lit a real live fire under him. The food was all delicious, though nothing particularly special outside of "bar food" qualifications. So here was the kicker-the server actually scribbled "20% grat for 6 or more" at the bottom of the check (since when are default tips more than 18%?). Then, when we got our receipts to sign (split on credit cards), he hand wrote the tip dollar amount on each one. I'm sorry, but what on earth is this?! I understand when restaurants have computer systems that can automatically add gratuity for large parties, but to actually scribble the dollar amount of your choice on the tip line of each credit card receipt? And it wasn't even an exact calculation, it was a rounded number slightly more than 20%. Absolutely classless, unacceptable act. The server should be ashamed, as should any management who is aware of this happening. As a group that regularly tips 23-25%, it was insulting and obviously a loss for the server. So I don't care how good the grilled cheese was, I'll never recommend this place and I'll definitely never go back. read more

We were in Jersey visiting my mother in law and needed a place to pick up a good pizza. The neighbor recommended we visit WildFlowers restaurant. It was a great choice! Service was quick and food was fresh and delicious. They have a nice bar area as well a full service restaurant. Great food, friendly people and definitely a great find! We will visit each time we get back up here so I can try the rest of the items on the menu. Although they don't do delivery service, take out order was handled very well. read more

It was tough to go more than one star. Great if you are a local who hasn't eaten in a quality eatery...like ever. Which, judging by some of the more favorable reviews, is a pretty accurate description of their clientele. With limited options in the area, consider this a last resort, but they do have warm food and cold beer so that should count for one of the two stars. read more

Sorry to say I cannot give this restaurant a good review. My brother works in the area and this was a convenient place to meet for dinner. I thought he had been there before but he hadn't been for a long time. I really wish I had yelped it first because then I would have looked for another place. So here it goes. The place was very crowded so I was thinking it must be very good. But when you look around in the area it is the only restaurant/bar. So it must be a hotspot for the locals. So we went to the hostess station to be seated to only have to wait for at least 5 minutes while 2 employees were trying to figure out a customers take out order. We finally sit in a tiny room right off the bar. It was EXTREMELY loud!!!! The waiter was not the friendliest but not horrible. The menu is very small!!!! Sandwiches and salads were average priced. The entrees were pricy, for a dive restaurant. A few on yelp recommended the pizza, we had to ask for a pizza menu. Someone mentioned drinks are not refillable, but it does say that on the menu. I had a fresh brewed unsweet tea. It was served in a carafe, which I loved!!! Ice tea has 1 free refill. Again it says that on the menu. The food came out definitely in a reasonable time and was hot. They are 2 plus comments. However, I had the Hawaiian pizza and it really didn't have much flavor to it. Yes I ate it but did not love it! My brother and sister in law had the buffalo chicken, something (I forget) pizza and said the same thing, it was just ok. I used the $1.00 off coupon at the bar for a glass of beer and the beer was still $6.50. I think that is expensive for a glass of beer. The wings and pizza here is amazing!! I work in Hamilton and my boyfriend works in Princeton and we try to come here once a month to enjoy wings, beer, and pizza. There usually is not great service here but the food is enough to keep us coming back for more and the tap selection is pretty good, they usually have what I am in the mood for. I think it is a little pricer than most places in the area but the food is amazing and I would never go anywhere else. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My daughter and I met at the this restaurant, just because it was a good half way point. OMG, when I walked in my instinct told me to get out and I did not listen. Standing there for ten minutes when finally the bartender looks over from doing nothing and mumbles "sit where ya want" nice. The waitress brought us menus and waters and we placed our order. I did ask her how bigs the salads were and she looked at me like I asked her for a kidney. Our food came, I had a buffalo chicken salad and my daughter had a turkey club. I will not even go into details but, honestly it was inedible. We told the waitress and she did offer to get us something else or she will just void our order. Came here for a lunch with a friend. As previous reviews indicate the service was slow but not terribly so. The food at least came out in an acceptable time. The burger misshaped like a rock, I ordered, was engulfed by the ginormous kaiser roll. The fries were ok. For 14 dollars with a soda I will go elsewhere. read more

Husband and I stopped in for a late lunch on our Sunday rambles, in the mood for a place to relax and have something barbequed or char-grilled. We sat ourselves down at a booth in the dining room by the rear entrance - and the place started to fill up with other parties as we sat there perusing the menu. The menu gave us a bit of sticker shock for what we assumed was a local bar. (Perhaps we are spoiled by the prices at the local watering holes in lower Bucks County.) Apparently this is an establishment aspiring to something greater. We were a little hesitant to try the fancier entrees on this first visit, so opted for a sandwich and a platter from the specials menu. Husband ordered the charcoal broiled sausage parmesan (which came with fries) and I ordered the dry rubbed barbeque chicken platter. The sausage sandwich had a lovely flavor thanks to the charcoal broiling. The fries were the typical large, thick "steak fries" from a freezer bag. My chicken platter was an awesome eyeful: half of a small chicken, a bacon and cheese stuffed potato, and ear of corn, a small brioche roll, and a serving of "Ken's Salad" - chopped romaine, pickled pepper, provolone, hard boiled egg, olives, onions, and a lemon and romano dressing. Woo hoo. This is not a typical of a meal that I usually order. It boasted more carbs and fat than my usual choices, and about twice as much as I could eat at a sitting. However, I quite enjoyed it. The chicken skin and the meat itself had a nice smokey flavor and the meat was tender. The ear of corn was boiled to a texture that is softer than I prepare it at home and am accustomed to, but I still enjoyed that, too. I liked the stuffed potato. It was so decadent with cheddar cheese and bacon mixed with chunks of potato that had been scooped out of the base -- and the base still had plenty of potato on it, so one could enjoy the whole thing including the skin. So, yes, we enjoyed the meal, but I'm not so sure that I would venture to order the more ambitious entrees. Other parties in the restaurant appeared to be ordering the specials, pizza, burgers, and wings, too. Definitely A-OK, with a nudge beyond three stars. read more

I'm an easy person to please and this place pushed all my buttons.start off with when we arrived our waitress was sitting behind the host station looking like we just disturbed her from her nap. We had ordered the wing with honey bbq sauce [ my wife doesn't like them spicy ) so after waiting longer than expected time to get the wings we found out that they put the wrong sauce on them! They didn't even taste like honey! When the waitress came to pick up the plates she didn't even ask how they were! After another 20 minute wait we got our food. My wife got a burger ( she told me it was perfect) I had ordered the cheese steak. I was thinking I was going to get real steak for $10 a sandwich I was mistaken . What I got was pressed frozen stakeum and served on burnt toast.i complain to the waitress about the sandwich being burnt ...she looked at it nodded in agreement but never did anything about it. Feeling decadent, we started with the Gorgonzola Fries with Bacon. Thick-cut fries completely smothered in a mild blue cheese with sizeable pieces of bacon mixed in...ahhhh. It was like a decadent, deconstructed loaded baked potato. I then split a small pizza and small salad - the Eggplant Pie was less satisfying with less cheese and, therefore, a drier pie then I typically like. The Mediterranean Salad was also fairly uninspiring...I would go back to Wildflowers, but it might just be for the Gorgonzola Fries. read more

I've been here a few times and I recommend the garbage trucks pizza, nasty sounding I know but wait till you see what's on the monster! There's gotta be at least 8 toppings on it from veggies to sausage and pepperoni to multiple kinds of cheeses! It's super tasty and can feed quite a few people. Oh and the cheese fries are delish. Good food and a cool tavern atmosphere, but as noticed in a previous review by another patron the female bartenders are miserable and they are .They act as if your bothering them by even sitting at the bar and one of them has been there for quite a while . We were asked by another couple at the bar if we had been there before because they also noticed the abysmal attitude and treatment we received ordering beer and a menu . Apparently they also received a less than friendly greeting . I figure the one bartender has to have some type of a relationship with ownership in order to justify her attitude . This has been the norm at wild flowers for quite a while now , I certainly hope it changes so I can enjoy going to this bar again . read more

I recently had a business dinner here on 5/17 with some of my co-workers and really had a good time. Great place for drinks and really good food. This is my second time there and I am two-for-two on pizza selections and have enjoyed them both. I selected the Liz's Hawaiin pie this time which is a take on the traditional but with chicken and a walnut balsamic. It was very delicious and occasionally I got a little tang to my bite when getting a good amount of balsamic with the pineapple, but I like that. I was sold on the pizza selection immediately when I looked up the menu earlier in the day. The rest of my team thoroughly enjoyed their meals. They ordered the Turkey Burger, The Un-Burger, and the tuna melt (I am forgetting one more sandwich that my buddy enjoyed). As appetizers we had the Hodge Podge mix which was fun for the fried foodie in me, but I was incredibly partial to the boneless wings sampler. You get four types of chicken and the pieces were BIG, DELICIOUS, and very satisfying. I'm always on the fence with a "boneless" chicken because it's usually so dried out and just bread. Not here, no way, all of the flavors were great and there was NO SKIMPING on the blue cheese dressing or celery. You get a lot and the celery was super green, fresh, and crisp. All in all a great outing with a shot of Fireball to close. The establishment is very cool, rustic in nature, clean, and comfortable. You also have to love the specials sign that reads "What beers do we have? Too many", lol. So why not 5 stars? The staff that took our orders, waited on us, and served us were phenomenal. The hostess (and it's funny because before I wrote this I noticed it was mentioned in other reviews) was...well...grumpy. I felt a vibe when I first walked in and the party in front of me was looking at her as she was on her phone tapping away. The party was basically motioning and mumbling "so...do we sit ourselves or go with someone?". Luckily a waitress came around the corner to help out as the hostess didn't look to be in the mood. I spotted my party and walked in. Then I found out that my reservation wasn't found, so when I went to address it myself with her I mentioned Open Table is what I used and was told "well our iPad is dead, someone is going to get a charger". I gave the "oh okay" motion and went back to my table. I sent a note to open table (no bashing) just to award my points in light of the issue and the fact that my appointment was made a week earlier, not last minute. In any event no harm no foul, but the entire team later heard the hostess say "your mother" to another staff member and the team turned to me and said "man, you're right, someone is grumpy". In all seriousness we know how to read horseplay and stuff, I myself do it at work, but you can just tell when someone is just...."grumpy". Aside from that, great time and will be back of course. Staff is courteous, the bar area is old school but nice. Great cocktails, and good beer selections. Service is inconsistent, and food can be outstanding or marginal. Their ribs are only specials, not regular menu items, but superb. Soups and salads are very good...but other selections fluctuate in quality and preparation. read more

We drive by this restaurant every Sunday and finally stopped in for dinner tonight. The hostess sat us in the bar area with "her best waiter". Abel was a great waiter, very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. He recommended the Ken salad which was very good. My husband ordered Chicken Parm, the sauce tasted like pizza sauce. I order the chef special, tasty but way too much sauce. What really bother me was the bartenders and Sarah (a off duty bartender drinking at the bar) eating McDonalds someone has brought into the bar for them. I guess your food isn't that good???? Not much in the area and I needed a quick lunch. Almost decided to leave when I first walked in but some regulars told me the food was good. The grumpy waitress said they were known for their pizza and burgers so I ordered a burger which come with nothing but the beef unless you build it and add items for more $. She asked me how I wanted it cooked, told her med-well. It arrived under cooked but she was no where to be seen and I was in a hurry so just ate. I had eaten over half by the time she finally checked on me again. The place seemed to be popular with the local characters that got a lot of attention at the expense of us outsiders. If I lived local, I might come back and try the pizza. Also they don't have Heinz ketchup or thousand island dressing for burgers which is odd. O read more

If this review was based only on the pizza, they would receive 5 stars, probably 10 stars if i could. The buffalo chicken pizza is amazing and the best around here. Its thick crust but still crispy and loaded with chicken. However, the staff and atmosphere are another story. On my last visit the hostess couldnt even seat us at our table. Literally walked two feet with us then said "youre down there, around that corner and the first table on the right." Seriously? Part of your job is to seat us and you can't even do that? Of course we were short a place setting which isn't that big a deal but come on. We got a pitcher of beer and halfway through with it we noticed the top of the pitcher was covered in this black scummy mold? gross. definitely made me lose my appetite (which is okay because the buff chick pizza is even better day 2) but still, not very appealing. I'd say if you want to eat here, stick to take out. The food is very good, place is just kinda gross and staff isn't friendly. read more

The food here is great so it's a shame the chef can't cook the food and serve it too. Wait staff gaggles around the hostess stand which makes you crazy when trying to get a drink, place an order or get your check. We had the same experience about six months ago and we chalked it up to a bad night...now we know it's the norm. Solid 3 stars. Been here lots over the years. I would call the place comfortable in its own skin. Place like this shouldn't change a lot. This time house salad (simple but fresh and chilled) pasta and huge tasty meatball plus gin and tonic and then a beer. While scanning the televisions around the bar to keep up with various games. My buddy had wings. They didn't look appealing to me. Not like what I see when I go to buffalo wild wings. Can't go wrong here with the pizza and pasta. Good friendly efficient service. 6 pack to go and a reasonable check at the end. Conveniently on the Pennington circle. The food at Wildflowers is most definitely tasty. Especially the pizzas (I had Ken's special pie) and anything fried- like the crispy-crunchy broccoli bites. Mmm! BUT- Our service today was HORRIBLE- and I am not that picky because I used to wait tables back in the day so I am pretty understanding. Our server was a young guy who just came up to the table and made some type of groan/moan sound. I decided to tell him I wanted a diet coke to break the awkwardness. He never actually said much the whole time and never really came near our table. When I finally did call him over, he had to hide his phone because he was texting. LOL! Then as soon as he walked away, he started texting again and went to go sit down and watch whatever game was on. You will be happy if you have low standards for service though!!! read more

Service isn't the greatest. Everyone is bored and kind of asleep at the wheel. They also charge extra for every little thing. I think the owner should pay more attention to the staff and also include things like the cost of onions IN the prices, as opposed for separately. It's really silly to charge someone 25 cents if they want onions on their sandwich. Also the $1.50 upcharge for sweet potato fries is silly for the portion. Cake was good, though. read more

Great place to have a happy hour. Food is so so. Service is good, but rustic feel. Too many families and kids flock to this place. Too much noise. Parking is on their lot and is good. If you are looking for a rustic place in Pennington, this is it. Not for sophisticated fine dining. read more

This is a hole in the wall bar which wants to be a restaurant. The service is really poor and slow. Debbie is the bartender on right now and she clearly does not care about her job, the customers, or the business. Employees like her are the reasons why businesses fail. This is so sad... We have been here for 45 minutes and have only received 1 drink and no food. We ordered our drinks and food after about a 10-15 minute wait for Debbie to acknowledge that we were here. There is currently only 9 guests at the bar. The restrooms are filthy and gross. I would guess they are only cleaned 1 times a week. I would not recommend coming here unless it's just for a couple drinks because this place is simply a hole in the wall bar... read more
