They have tables outside and a great screened in sunroom that was very popular. My hubby and I ordered a Mead flight to sample 4 different meads. We enjoyed them all but we ended up buying Seventeen. It is made with strawberry and lime. One strange thing happened though. When went to pay for our flight ($12) and bought our bottle of mead - the girl put the bottle has her tip. (See photo) Our credit card company sent us a message asking if we intended on giving a 200% tip. This left me speechless. Wildflyer has been a favorite hangout for my family for years. Friendly service, mead and beer selections are varied and we have enjoyed trying the different ones. Tonight I had their Helles burger which was delicious and a Michilotta/ red beer. It was the perfect combination. It is family friendly but still fun and trendy! The chips with salsa and street corn was awesome, especially the street corn! The Texas Cheesesteak was pretty good. The flatbread tasted great, but the bread was overcooked. The pretzel was good and homemade! The service was good. It was crowded when we came, but the wait was reasonable. Their new in house food options complement the mead my favorite is Violet Beauregarde, sweet blueberry mead. Variety of food options like baked pretzels and flatbread sandwiches. Review for downtown location: We were out and about this weekend checking out small towns and places we've not been to in a while. Wildflyer Mead and Beer in downtown Navasota was just the ticket. We had the Jammin Blue Burger with fries. OMG, that burger was OUTSTANDING and I've NEVER had such well made fries. They were crispy on the outside, well seasoned and like a creamy potato cloud on the inside. Like I said, i've never had such incredible fries. However you did that, don't give up, it's out of this world. Service is non-existent. You place your order at the counter, they bring your food to the table and you don't ever seen anyone again. read more

Beautiful building, lovely decor, friendly staff, great location, but, sadly, very subpar food. As two chefs and foodies, my husband and I love supporting small, family owned restuarants and businesses- especially in our own town. My husband got the spicy chicken sandwich (he'd requested ranch- they brought it with blue cheese- he didn't make a fuss, and ate it anyway.). I ordered the Texas Cheesesteak. It was probably the worst I've ever had. The meat, instead of being tender and juicy, was dry, stringly and tough- and tasted like it had either been sitting in a chafing dish too long, or like it had been microwaved. The bread was soggy, even though there was no jus. The best part of the meal was the poblano soup, and the potato wedges. It's a beautiful place, and we would love to see them succeed- but more love and attention to detail in the menu items would go far! read more

Went to the downtown location for a mead pickup and stayed for lunch. I am a huge Ruben fan, and the one I had is probably one of the best I've tasted. Favorable with a side of potato wedges. Good size, was a level to share. Will be back. read more

Best Mead ever!! Worth the drive and experience. Their mead is a little different than regular mead. I believe all of their mead is on draft. They offer unique flavors that IMO are the best around. I also enjoyed their mead concoctions (their take on regular cocktails that include mead). My kiddos love going because of the outdoor stuff they have (dodge ball, horse shoes and wooden blocks). They also exploring the grounds filled with flowers and wild berries. They are always so helpful with nice smiles. read more

Wonderful spot in the true Texan countryside. A wide variety of mead flavors and some of the best mead I had. Love the area and the options to stay on property, but local honey, and enjoy a tour around the facility is amazing! Service was good and we bonded over a shared names. I love the eclectic, every changing grounds and the clean welcoming aesthetic of their serving building. It reminds me of Austin area breweries and distilleries and feels relaxing. Their meads are non-traditional but delicious. I appreciate that despite their flavors names, nothing is artificially candied in flavor. I'm sitting here with a glass of delicious mead from Wildflyer. We live in Houston, and went out to Navasota (me, wife and kids) to stay in the Getaway cabins. We were only staying one night, so I only made it to Wildflyer shortly before they closed. Was still able to sample a flight of different meads. Some great, some not to my taste, but all clearly crafted with care and skill. Tried a couple more and bought a crowler of Unbirthday, which as I mentioned I am enjoying greatly. I don't really do beer anymore, so mead and cider are very much my jam. I was very happy to find such a great meadery not too far from town, and I definitely hope to return with more time to hang out. They have a spacious porch and lawn, and COVID precautions were being taken seriously from what I saw. Would be a fun place to spend an afternoon with the family, especially post-pandemic. Go give them your business, you won't regret it! read more

Like I'm not even sure what to think of when I think of mead, until this place opened my eyes. Ok you need to try this, just go. There were like 12 or so varieties of different meads with flavors like ginger and hibiscus and my husband liked one with coffee and maple with some bourbon flavor in it. Precautions were in place, and we took our mead home to enjoy, but we will definitely be back for more. And you need to try this! Definitely recommend. read more

I absolutely love their wine and there is not many places you can go to get it. So I went to try it today because I had been craving their wine but the overall feel was very awkward. It left me feeling very out of place but overall the wine was great. There was a very nice area to sit outside. Love this place! We are out of Dobbin/Montgomery area, and we're excited to find them...they have wonderful meads, and Jeff one of the owners is a wealth of information! The outside is great, and my kids love playing on the hay bales. On Saturday's they try to have a food truck, or if you want you can stop at a restaurant on the way like WhiteHall and pickup your own to bring in (they allow outside food). They also have a wonderful porch (COVID approved). You can also visit the bee yards/gift shop, and just hang out and enjoy the weather. We're members now, and love the free tasting on each visit...don't hesitate, give them a go. read more

This is a great hidden spot! Very close to Bryan/College Station. The mead was great and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. It has a cute little gift store and tasting room as well. They also had a food truck on site. The honey is delicious and they sell gorgeous flower bouquets! I highly recommend. And they're dog friendly! read more
