We purchased Mead to take home

If you have never tried Mead or love Mead then you need to come by here. My son loves Mead and wanted us to go try this place so off we went tonight. Natalie was our bartender tonight and was so great helping us go over our 12 sample flight and sharing stories and just being a great hostess. The Mead is made with a lot of love and the selections are a many so good luck picking Just one. I had a favorite only because I have a sweet tooth so mine was the mesquite tonight. But I'll be back to try the lavender once it's back in stock because I'm hearing it's pretty good.

Well from the warm greetings to the excellent customer service and recommendations from Matt (Owner/Operator) , everything was superb and sublime.... The Flight selection was 12 ample samplings of both dry and sweet mead was Great and Delightful!! Very nice atmosphere of drinking amongst friends and numerous couple's doing the same thing!! Very nice combination of meads, honey and even nuts!! My coworker's and I had a blast sampling everything possible.

After enjoying a weekend at the TX Renaissance Festival, on our leisurely travel home we stopped by some local shops in Tomball, Tx. Most enjoyable was our time at the Thirsty Bee Meadery. After getting a thorough education by the extremely personable young lady working there, we chose to share the Bees Knees Flight 12 mead sampler. Having only had mead a couple times in my life, being able to taste the wide variety available was a really nice experience. To add to the experience, they had puzzles, board games and retro style arcade consoles. They also offer pairing events and scheduled live music. I was very pleased that we chose to stop by and I would highly recommend this experience if you're in the area.

I adored this place! My best friend and I went for brunch on my birthday and got the Bees Knees Flight which included a medley of 12 different tastings from their bottled and draft selection. The staff was friendly and the environment was lovely! We sat outside since it was cool enough to do so at the time and after a bit of chatting, they brought up the platter! We also ordered a charcuterie board which was so cute! Everything was so well put together and tasted delicious. There were a few meads that we didn't enjoy, but seeing as how there were only about 3/12 that fell into that category, I would say that was expected! Overall, this place is super cute and in a nice part of Tomball. If you go on Saturdays, it's literally walking distance from the farmer's market! Check it out, this would be a cute date place as well!

Great experience and tasting. Superb customer service. We went during the week, so we had the place to ourselves. Very cute for an adult birthday party. We love bees and loved learning all the different items that can be made from their wax and honey.

So i walked up to the bar and again was never acknowledged..... I know i was seen but ignored. I think he was more focused on the people that were at the bar. Or he just didn't want to be there. He worked slow and moved like he was in no rush. Not what you should see at a this kind of establishment. Went back and sat down for another 5 mins and after 15mins with nobody giving any care that we were there. We got up and left. The establishment was beautiful and seemed like a awesome place to have a drink. But that didn't happen. Can't recommend this place

They also have a nice selection of board games to play while you're hanging out there. The bartender/server briefly went down the menu and explained that the mead was made from honey, hence the bee motifs. After tasting several different kinds (from the flight), I settled on hibiscus as my favorite. There is a varying range of sweetness, and the hibiscus was definitely on the sweeter side, but I was in the sweet mood. I also really enjoyed resting beach face, which is a lot less sweet but has all the fruity notes. If you've never tried mead, it's worth heading on over here and giving the Ferm Meadery a try!

However, I've lived in this area a long time and had no idea about the place until I visited Galveston Brewery recently and the server there mentioned Celtic Cross mead. Honestly it is not all that difficult to locate and once you see it, you see it and think "Oh! There it is!" It's cozy, homey, and welcoming. I'm glad I read Yelp reviews and such to learn this place was a little difficult to find but totally worth the effort. They were correct. But find it we did. Brandi and a couple at the bar welcomed us in. Brandi guided us through the various flavors of mead so we could decide what we liked. What a fantastic range of flavors and I feel I now know a lot more about mead. I tried their 4 serving flight of my favs. My son tried a class of each of his favorites. Their non-alcoholic mead was so refreshing that I would like an entire glass of that next time. I feel there is a flavor for everyone's taste and would be surprised if one could not find their favorite. The only way not to find your fav is the inability to chose from their selections. The only other mead I have ever tasted was at Bunratty castle in Ireland back in the day. Celtic Cross' mead is so much better. This place was fun and we cannot wait to come back.
