We stayed here this past weekend and really enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and comfortable, like a hotel room. They provided basic amenities like soap, towels, and toilet paper, along with everything we needed for the kitchenette and barbecue, including pots, pans, bowls, utensils, serving spoons, spatulas, and tongs. We also explored the property a little, and the communal bathrooms were very clean. The only issue was the air conditioning. We specifically chose an air-conditioned cabin knowing how hot it could get. During our stay, it was about 100 degrees outside, and the AC couldn't keep the cabin cool during the hottest part of the day, even with Turbo on full blast and the temperature turned all the way down. The AC is located right outside the bedroom door and was blowing cold air, but the coldest area was still the kitchenette directly in front of the unit. The cold air didn't circulate well throughout the living room area or into the bedroom. We even brought fans to help circulate the air, but they didn't help much either. We're not sure why the cabin couldn't retain the cool air--whether it was the layout, airflow/circulation, insulation, or simply the extreme heat. Given how small the cabin is, It just seemed like the cabin couldn't keep the heat out and the cool air in. Bottom line, it wouldn't stay cool during the hottest parts of the day. Once it cooled down at night, the cabin was very comfortable. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back, probably during a cooler time of year. read more

Wildhaven has several 'glamping' resorts near National Parks. This one is 1 mile outside the small town of Mariposa, about 30 miles from the entrance to the National Park. It is just off Hwy 41, above the local fire station. The area is large. The tents are on the lower level and the cabins are on the higher level, on the top of the hill. Our superior (and more expensive) cabin had nice views over the surrounding hills and the 'wild' horses on a neighboring ranch. The cabin was really small - think 'Tiny Home'. A small sitting area, kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. The tents use common bathrooms. We had a small out door area to sit. You can rent a gas tank for the outdoor fire pit. Free coffee at the office. It is pet friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though the cabin is nice with AC and running hot water, the surroundings are rough and our little dog injured his foot on 'foxtail' grass. The only groceries, gas or food are in the town - a 1 mile drive away (not walkable). read more

We have visited twice since they opened and I do like their Sonoma location better. The views here are great and the cabins are nice and convenient for a weekend getaway. I did email about some issues from our recent stay and never heard anything back which was a bit disappointing as we genuinely enjoyed their first location and wanted to enjoy this one as well. Our first visit was right after they had opened so the outside of the cabin areas were not fully complete but we enjoyed the stay and wanted to come back to see the final project complete. This second time a year apart there was still construction and things being built so I do find it hard to justify the prices for the cabins if all the amenities are not available or closed. read more

Approx an hr away from yosemite NP (depends which trail you're going to). Cute cabins, has community bbq grills & table, small hiking trail, community pool. We did the cabin instead of the tent. The shower had hot water for showers, however if the shower is being used, the sink water looses pressure. The kitchen sink is the only sink (so no sink for the bathroom). A/C was decent, but I really wished they had a ceiling fan in each room. You'll see jackrabbits on the property with wild turkeys in the early mornings, I believe. We had a great experience here. We stayed in the Valley View Cabin for a few nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was an easy check in and the staff was so sweet and left a little s'mores kit surprise for his birthday. The cabin had a space to park our car. I liked that we didn't need a key to enter the cabin. They have a keypad entry with a unique code that they set for each party. There's a picnic table and some deck chairs around the fire pit which was nice. The view from the site was beautiful. At times there's some horses that come roam around near the cabins. The cabin itself although small it had everything we needed. There was enough room for us and the two kids to hang out and play while looking out the big window view of the valley. There's one bed and a futon that pulls out. There's a kitchenette that has some basic kitchen supplies. They also provide some coffee, tea, and hot cocoa packets. We enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit and making some s'mores. Unfortunately, there were some bees flying around the fire pit and our car. My son got stung by a bee on our first day so he was a bit scared to stay outside the cabin for too long. He did enjoy going up and down the hill from the cabin to the store every morning. The cabin is also close to a hiking trail that leads up to their pergola site that has fire pits. Their check in area is also their store. They also have self-serve coffee and hot cocoa. Beautiful property contingent on weather. Stayed one night over the labor day weekend and was glad to get a last minute booking. It was about $208 for a premium queen tent. I like that the tents are spaced apart enough and not a super cluster like at curry village. They have a nice hilltop pergola with a firepit to relax and star gaze at night. Though it was too hot for either. There are 5 barbecue spots and the restrooms and shower facilities are awesome. Very clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wildhaven Yosemite is an oasis for all your glamping and adventure needs! Conveniently located just an hour away from Yosemite and a short 10 minutes drive to downtown Mariposa, Wildhaven is far enough to provide you that camping experience with nature yet close enough to grab food, toiletries or anything you may forget. We booked a cabin which had all the amenities such as kitchen, sink, bathroom (with showers) and air conditioning! AC is very important if you travel to Yosemite during the summer months and you have your dog with you :) We were blown away by how neat, pretty and comfortable the our cabin was! It has a huge windows overlooking the valley. The kitchen area had all the utensils we needed and a working stove with a mini fridge. Our bathroom was spacious and with great water pressure. The bed was queen sized and comfortable. There was a private picnic area outside of each cabin with benches and campfire station, in case you wanted to make some s'mores. Occasionally, the facility had live music (we missed the schedule when we were there). They also have a common picnic area if you're looking to connect to other people :) There are many hiking trails. If you go up the hill where the gazebo is, you'll see various hiking trails from there. We tried going up to the gazebo at night and it was such a fun experience. The path was well-lit and so was the gazebo. Fireplace was kept on till late at night. All of us, humans and dog alike, enjoyed our visit so much! The price is reasonable to us with all the amenities we received. Our 2-day stay at Wildhaven Yosemite was memorable and we can't wait to come back this summer ! read more

I had a two night stay in one of the classic cabins. Upon arrival, the firewood I had purchased was already delivered to our fire pit which was very helpful. The cabin was clean and cozy. I definitely would say it's a small cabin and you really need to spend most of your time outdoors because there is not much room to relax in. They have small trails on their property with great views for either sunset or sunrise. The trails are short but they are moderately difficult due to the incline. The property was very clean and well maintained and it's a very short 5 minute drive to town I really enjoyed my visit and if I'm in the area again I would stay here. read more

It will be hard to go back to camping after staying at one of the valley view cabins at Wildhaven! The view was absolutely the highlight of our stay here. The view from the oversized cabin window and right outside the cabin was stunning. Rolling hills, turkeys trotting by in the mornings, horses grazing in the late afternoon. Being so close to it all while also having all the amenities I need in my middle age and with young kids was perfect. The AC/heating unit worked great for the small cabin. AC for the day and heat at night kept the cabin a comfortable 70 degrees despite the swinging temps throughout the day and night. The bathroom and small kitchenette were well stocked and had everything we needed. Each cabin also comes with a propane firepit (extra charge for the propane), hammock, Adirondack chairs and a large shaded picnic table. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We requested a propane tank for the firepit and it was delivered within minutes. The main sites at Yosemite are a little bit of a drive (about an hour to the main Yosemite valley sites, about 40-45 min to the main entrance), but not bad at all. There are only about 5-6 valley view cabins right now, but we saw that more are being built. Will absolutely come back again! read more

Thank you to Sunset and Westways magazines for their enticing pieces on wilderness Glamping which compelled our first exploration of this new hospitality. I chose Wildhaven Yosemite for its proximity to my favorite national park, dog-friendly accommodations, and enticing photos. The venue is located off the main artery through nearby Mariposa and about 40 miles from Yosemite's Arch Rock entrance. Quintessential California hills of scrub oak and grass were golden this first day of September with toasty climes heralding the last of summer. Our premium tent boasted a cozy layout with stellar views from its hillside perch. Solid mattress and nice linens. However, a canvas tent sans AC in 93-degree temps with ineffectual fans is not for the faint of heart and our trio didn't get much sleep the first night. The cute porch firepit therefore went unused during our stay. Be aware that there is much stair and hill climbing involved in getting around the venue. Younger visitors are probably OK but it was a challenge to us seniors and older dog. Since Wildhaven just debuted in 2024, its amenities are relatively new and the bathhouse was especially upscale with its thoughtful layout and lathering choices. My husband is a consummate griller and we cooked evening meals in the largest communal space with four BBQs and picnic tables. He opined that the inexpensive propane BBQs were not adequate to the task and could be problematic with full residency. Thought a large island with robust grills and side burners plus prep space would be nice. Even with the small number of campers, our area grills and tables were all occupied at dinnertime. Would not be fun waiting in line for a turn at the BBQ. Many washing-up sinks with filtered water made for easy dinner clean-up and many drinking-bottle refills. I always relish meeting new people and Yosemite's deserved delights draw international folks which invites memorable conversations around the picnic tables. We chatted up lovely Germans, Scots and English about their California itineraries. There are trails arcing up the hillside and a hilltop pergola with glorious views and firepits which invite indulgence on a crisp evening. Perhaps another visit. I loved all the wild critters roaming around and being woken early morning by conversing owls. It would have been nice to be offered extra towels instead of one for four nights. Especially when we took several daily showers to mitigate the heat and the overheated dog had to be cooled down as well. As a polite Baby Boomer, I demurred from requesting extras. I'd also hoped for a morning cup of coffee as promised at reception and we even brought our own mugs. However, opening up at 8 a.m. is a tad too late for most early-rising campers so we drove into Mariposa each morning to try their bakeries. Wildhaven is a promising space with lots of positives and access to 4 million annual Yosemite visitors. They're already building 40 more units which attests to their initial success and promises more refinements. I'm thrilled we essayed Glamping and hope to do so again. read more

(wasn't far at all) Note to adventurers: to YOSEMITE Check Yosemite peak hours for must have reservation times check recreation.gov If there aren't any they usually allow folks in ahead of 5a and after 3pm. (With no reservation) You may also take your shot at the YART (charter bus) pick up at wildhaven requires to reserve 24hrs in advance. You can take your chances standing at a bus stop along the way routes but it is not guaranteed seating. This trip we arrived @ 2:50p paid the day fee and got to our destination hike. Went glamping here last weekend with my fam. We booked the valley view cabin and wow! The view was chef's kiss. As soon as I walked in and saw that big window overlooking the valley, I was so happy. It was really beautiful. The cabin itself was nice inside and out but the bed was a letdown. It was super firm and just not comfortable to sleep on. The AC was right outside the bedroom door but even with the door wide open, the cool air wasn't reaching the bed area. I ended up sleeping on the couch which turns into a sofa bed and that was actually more comfy. Plus, the AC worked great in the living room. One thing that scared me though, someone tried to open our door while I was alone in the cabin and inside the bathroom. I'm guessing they mistook our cabin for theirs but the way they were aggressively trying to get in freaked me out. I called my family right away and they went to the office to report it but unfortunately nothing was done after that. Other than that and the bed situation, I still enjoyed the trip. The views were incredible and the place had a great vibe. Just hope they improve the beds and maybe add more security or clearer signage for cabins. read more

Stayed here in 2024 in a cabin. Beautiful place if pricy. Two things were surprising for a place this fancy. One is the housekeeping was not thorough; The area between the bed and the wall looked like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, and the bathroom was almost out of toilet paper. The other thing is that they charged for ice. If I'm spending 300+ a night I feel like ice should be free? The stars at night were amazing. It's still kinda far from Yosemite Valley, almost 45 minute with no traffic, but still one of the closest options. I would stay here again. read more

What an amazing experience. This campground is fairly new so everything is super clean and updated! I did a cabin over summer and it felt like a little hotel room. It was fully equipped with great AC throughout the cabin, living room with pullout sofa, kitchen, bathroom and spacious shower, and a bedroom with a good sized bed. Outside we had a private bonfire pit and picnic table. The cabins had assigned parking space right outside our cabin, and the cabins were steps away from an easy hiking trial with hillside panoramic views. There was a small shop inside the campgrounds. And was close driving distance to town and swimming holes. I had an amazing glamping experience and can't wait to go back next summer. read more

This is such an overdue review. My husband and I stayed at Wildhaven in June 2024 with my two toddlers for a quick getaway and had the best time. I am not the greatest camper, so the idea of a cabin with all of things *I* would need to feel comfy was such a huge draw. I had never been up towards Yosemite, so it was a fun, last minute decision to book. We had the best view and the property was easy to get around with littles. The only thing we kept saying we wish we had was a pool or body of water closer by. We did end up taking a day trip to Bass Lake based on the office's suggestion and went up to the river one day as well, but to have something on property would be awesome. We'll definitely be back this year and can't wait to see how much has changed from our previous visit. read more

Our annual family gathering was at Wildhaven Yosemite. It's convenient to the park and to Bass Lake. A nice respite from our days of city life. The tents/cabins were clean and well maintained. I booked the premium tent with two beds for a two-night stay. Overall, the experience was ok. If you're staying in a tent and the wind picks up, be prepared to hear everything -- they do provide earplugs, which help a bit. The place looks more impressive on social media and in photos than it does in person. The restrooms were clean, which was a plus. However, the outdoor showers took a long time to heat up, so we ended up with lukewarm to cold showers. Also, the water refill station only offered warm water -- no option for cold drinking water. They offer yoga sessions, but there should be more activities available, especially for families with kids. On the bright side, there's plenty of parking and the site is easy to access. They have grills available for use and even provide grilling tools, which was convenient. All in all, I'd only recommend this spot if you're just looking for a place to sleep and grill a meal -- not much more beyond that. read more

My husband, two small kids, and myself stayed here over Mother's Day weekend. We got a classic cabin. I 100% recommend this place with little ones rather than normal tent cabin. The place was a tiny home basically but was so worth it to still have that camping feel. Place was clean. Kitchen was very functional. Patio area so cute. I loved that I saw quite a few little families. Check in and out was SUPER fast and easy. It's about 1-1.5 hour drive from Yosemite but worth it. Would stay here again !! Had the best time in Yosemite at Wildhaven! We stayed in one of the tiny cabins and it was so cute, clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was somewhere between glamping in a tent and staying in a full blown cabin. We had a small stove top and mini fridge, but no tv for instance. Which I loved because we were able to be really present and feel a little more removed from the luxuries of home. But if you are coming with little ones or the weather is questionable you may want to consider packing games or a project for movie night. Or just get creative like we did or venture into town! read more

We were 2 couples staying here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Summer is definitely not the time to be here as the room heats up once the sun shines bright on the tent. Rooms were pretty clean and tidy, but it lacked fan in the room. One fan in the room doesn't suffice in this scorching heat. Toilet and washroom were a bit far away from the tent, so that's something that I didn't like. The host was super friendly and available all the time. She picked up the phone late at night and sorted our tent allotment. They have a well set up BBQ grill with a super market nearby for any last moment purchase. Had an amazing getaway from Sacramento and came here for a 3 day vacation. Bathrooms and showers kept clean and well maintained. We started off in the tent on day 1, during the day it was amazing. They had a nice view on the mountain where the hike starts, fire pit and a bean bag toss to play. As we got into the night we went into the tent and had a little incident with seeing a massive spider that totally freaked me out and a couple wild life bugs which is normal for being in that kind of area. In the morning we went to the front desk to let the lady know of the spider and she was super nice enough to let us upgrade to the cabins instead. Day 2 & 3 we relaxed in the cabins with a really great view of the mountains and horses that walked by. Made some delicious diner on the bbqs they provided for us to use and also complimentary coffee and hot cocoa for everyone. My stay at Wildhaven Yosemite was AMAZING! It was my first time visiting the Yosemite area, but not my first time glamping (I've stayed at their Sonoma location twice!) I am so pleased with this stunning property- Wildhaven really brings glamping to a whole new level and truly makes nature meet comfort. We stayed in Valley View Cabin #41 and it was super spacious! There's a little kitchen area that was perfect for prepping meals (bonus points for the fold out table), the bed was so comfortable and big, the view out the large window was stellar, and the hot shower was truly a luxury. The property is literally 5 minutes away from Mariposa where we drove to eat breakfast everyday at the local eateries- so yummy! Our family of 3 stayed for 2 nights at Wildhaven Yosemite and had the best glamping experience! It gave us the chance to be surrounded by nature while still enjoying the comforts of a real bed (super comfortable), electricity, a private bathroom (with a shower and toiletries) and even climate control! The cabin was the perfect size, clean, and had thoughtful amenities (teapot, tea bags, coffee, everything you need for the kitchen). It was great to wake up to beautiful views and quiet mornings, and then do some stargazing at night by the fire pit. Our super picky 7 year old even enjoyed it, and got restful sleep every night. We passed by some motels here or there, and would choose Wildhaven over any of them, any day! If you're going to Yosemite to experience nature, then experience as much as you can. read more

I have an obsession and I don't know why. We have experienced everything in our stay. Rain, winds of 60mph, sunshine, magnificent views, fantastic cold temperatures that make you want to snuggle with your loves ones, rabbits and much more. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week at the Wildhaven Yosemite with family, friends and our dogs. We stayed at one of the valley facing cabins for 3 nights. The cabin was clean and well equipped and the hot water in the showers worked really well. The place was overall dog friendly with a fun trail nearby to take them for a walk in the mornings. The staff at the check in area were all very friendly and the nicest -Rochelle even went the extra mile to mail me the bracelets I left behind in the cabin. Thank you so much! Sadly I wanted to love this place and a couple issues made it not so great. 1) our "premium" tent had a view of the toilets (see picture). "Premium" tents 20-25 have a shit view, literally. Added bonus, you'll get to hear the toilet door slam all night long, 2) Our first night there were French tourists talking loudly at the campfire until 12:30 am keeping us awake (when we were very tired and went to bed at 10pm). The rules say "only whispers after 10 pm". But no one on staff said anything to them after 10pm. Seems like a management issue. I had to walk outside and walk over to the campfire at 1230 am to say "can you folks see that it's pitch black outside and everyone else here is trying to sleep. Please shut up." (not proud of that though). I got 4 hours of sleep (see picture - no hyperbole) and it compromised our next day, obviously. At the end of the day, I shouldn't have to be the one to say anything to obviously loud guests, staff or security should have. 3) Road noise - all day, all night. The property is just off of the highway. And it's surprisingly loud. All that being said I'd go back (what!?). But here's the scoop, the "Valley View" cabins (not tents) face away from the highway and face away from the toilets. Those are the only cabins/tents worthwhile staying in, period. read more

We visited Wildhaven Yosemite for a family weekend break from SF. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with private trails, great view points, and a real sense of being away from the crowds and in nature. We were blown away by our cabin, which felt really luxe and thoughtfully designed. It had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, hot shower, and a cute kitchenette. But it was the view from the huge picture windows that we loved the most - we spent both nights watching the sunset with a glass of wine after a day of activity. It's a super convenient location to get into the park, though next time I'd probably build in another night to just relax on site and not rush to get anywhere. It was ideal for a family with young kids, but I also think this would work well for a girls' trip. I'm already planning our next trip back! read more

I was a little worried about space with my babies pack and play but we were able to organize and fit everything perfectly. This past weekend we stayed here and it was an awesome experience. The tent glamping was so fun we did the lowest priced tents due to everything else being booked and honestly it was still a great time. The tent had 2 bunk beds for the kids and a queen size bed for my wife and I. The tents come with a fan in them as well as electricity and lights. The restrooms were well kept up and super clean as well as the showers. They have a community spot with bbq grills for you to use that are also cleaned daily which is nice as well as a spot for roasting smores. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful as well as the few gentlemen working on site that we came in contact with. There is also a spot for you to wash all your dishes which is very nicely kept as well. The only one minor problem we had was the bees bothering well trying to eat or wash dishes nothing too crazy but it was an issue for my kids. This spot is a quick 10 minute drive to downtown Mariposa and about 45 minutes from Yosemite national park. I highly recommend staying here if you want to do the camping but not so much roughing it style. Also another thing that was nice is that everything is within walking distance of all the tents. Overrated and just a product of clever Instagram marketing. We booked a regular tent and got Tent 11, which is located far down from the road and surrounded by bugs, insects, and spider webs. The tent's interior is comfortable for sleeping, and the showers and restrooms are very clean and well-maintained. The hike near the cabins offers a nice view. However, there is absolutely nothing to do here if you're coming with kids. The BBQ and fire pit area is shared by everyone and is extremely uncomfortable and oddly set up--it's honestly the most bizarre and impractical setup I've seen. Overall, this place is overhyped and overrated by social media influencers and not worth the price. Aside from the beds, shower area, and bathrooms, there's really nothing special here. It's super boring if you're coming with family and kids. Also, an important point to note: it's 45 minutes from Yosemite and not inside the national park, even though the name is misleading. read more

I spent my weekend into my birthday here at Wildhaven, this place is amazing, Glamping is the way to go I love how they set me up on Tent 20. That was perfect at night, the stars are amazing and dreamy. I get the chills by mentioning it again, the Big Dipper is right outside the porch just gotta look up. We stayed here a few days ago, and generally were underwhelmed. We had a valley view cabin. If you do come here I'd recommend fall or spring; summer is too hot to be comfortable in these cabins or tents. Pros: beautiful views as promised, proximity to Yosemite. Cabin is new and thoughtfully laid out, including fold out chairs, bedding for futon, and a cute functional kitchen with fridge and cooktop. Cons: A/C is inadequate for the heat. It was over 100 and the ac at full tilt could not get close to cooling the cabin comfortably. There is no separate ac for the bedroom forcing us to leave the door open. If you have someone staying on the couch this is an issue. The cabins are all ridge line with no cover, leaving them to heat up in the direct sun. Taking a walking trail wasn't as good as promised as there is a lot of road noise from the nearby highway. Caution- the first step on the stairwell is oddly shorter than the others so watch your step coming down. I almost fell and my kid did fall. read more

We stayed here last week and it was mixed filled experience we had Prose,the location is great few miles away from town and about 45 minutes drive to Yosemite park , the bed is comfortable the facility has remote bathroom and shower that was accessible any time and well maintained Cons , the tent we wore assigned was close to the Main Street and you hear cars all night Our tint number was 1,2,4,7,8 and 11 don't recommend if you have children and if you are a large group together due to it is at down hill and it's not easy to move around but if you're just two or three adults it might be ok Tint 11 gets the afternoons sun and it was to hot to stay in it or to sleep in our family members could not stay inside at all When we brought this to the front desk we wore told they are sold out and nothing available to exchange it Overall the property looks newer but I would avoid the taint close to the road , read more

Absolutely gorgeous area, surrounded by lush hills. Although the weather wasn't as we had expected, just great views and photo opportunities. Not to mention the quick service by the host. He was very kind, and not only did he assist us with our requests (along with some tips), he went out of his way to make us comfortable and feel like we were a priority. The cabin was really cozy, and had comfy beds as well. When we went to Yosemite we stayed at Wildhaven Glamping in Mariposa which was just a quick 45 min drive to the Yosemite entrance. This place was perfect for a family stay with the feel of camping in the summer but w/o all the hassles of packing & setting up for camping. We still got to roast marshmallows & sit around a camp fire but we also got to use indoor plumbing & use a kitchen- win win! I loved that I could store food in the mini fridge & just cook & prepare food for our daily outings. The tiny house featured: a queen bed w a view, bathroom w shower, a cute kitchen w everything we needed to cook & prep meals, a fold out table & chairs for eating that was built right into the counter, & the kids favorite part was there was a ladder they climbed up that led to their double loft bed (they thought that was so cool). The property had a cute lit hill that led up to an overlook with fires blazing under the stars. Where we sat one night. So if visiting Yosemite has been on your bucket list save this post for Wildhaven Glamping! read more

Love this spot! It's perfectly located near Mariposa so you can take advantage of the dining opportunities and only an hour from Yosemite's El Portal entrance. The property is quite expansive with hiking trails and communal gathering spots where they plan to offer yoga and live music in the summer. The studio cabin was quite spacious and we loved having our own kitchen with mini fridge. You won't feel the damp/cold that you usually get when camping in this area as Wildhaven is on a hillside.
