Absolutely love this place. Just imagine 93° with high humidity and you and your family are sweating like crazy... well, get on this wet jet boat and trust me when I say you'll cool off almost immediately! My boat operator, Adam, made sure we all had a great ride. I've gotta say, he loves his job! Our "tour guide" was Alexa and she was great, made us all laugh as we got drenched ! Kudos to her . The price was very reasonable and they provided the life jackets and made sure we were all buckled up before we got on the boat/jet. The nice surprise was the great photos that were taken of us that you can buy. I really liked the idea that if you are a local . ( Erie County resident ) you can get a discounted price. Finally, a place that values you.

First day of summer and out of town family in, called for a whirlpool jet boat day. Tons of fun. Reasonable priced for 45 mins of excitement. You have the option to get wet or not, of course we went for the wet tour. They provide a lot of history information during the ride. The staff is super nice and friendly. Easy check-in process. The boat house female locker room is gross, and the lockers were not user-friendly. Be careful when using the locker when entering in a pin code as the pad is super sensitive, and your code will end up not being what you wanted, and you will lock yourself out. But there was a buzzered there, and the staff responded quickly and resolved the issue. This seems to be an issue they're very aware of. They do record and take a lot of pictures during the ride that you have an option to purchase. I felt the prices were good. Paid 50 bucks for digital package, which gave me all the pictures and a 4 minute video, which I would have paid 50 bucks just the video. It was hilarious. Bonus, free parking across the street.

Omg what a thrill. Way out of my comfort zone. I was so scared in the beginning but the more we went through the rapids, it got better and better. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back

    Ready to get wet !!!!

This ain't the maid of the mist! This is a fast , wet , adrenaline ride. The maid on steroids!!!! My boyfriend and I experienced this today and I can say with all certainty we WILL be returning. Our guide Chris and captain Jason were amazing. A top notch experience!!! Would definitely recommend.

This was such a fun thing to do! I went with my son on the Whirlpool Jet Boat this past weekend. We wanted to do this ever since we saw the boats while we were on the Whirlpool cable car at the Niagara Falls Canadian side. It was a bit cold but we got a poncho to wear underneath the life jacket, so it was not to bad. Expect lots of water! Wear something that is light and dries easy, water shoes are better than sneakers. Or bring a set of change of clothes and shoes. We were all wet. Some of the times when the waves hit, I felt like I was underwater in an ocean! We booked online. The 1 pm and 3 pm boats were all full, we got the 2 pm. We saw the 1 pm and 3 pm boats, they were full! The 2 pm still had a lot of room left. They expect you to check in early and show up 15 minutes before the time for safety briefing. The parking lot is across the building, sometimes it is hard to find a spot. We lucked out and got a spot. If not, I assume you can park along side of the roads.

Amazing ride! What a rush! Whole family loved it!!! A great experience that I want to repeat! Sending love from Florida!

What an amazing experience. We went last week after wanting to do this for years. Thrilling would be an understatement. I'm 5'10" and the water in the boat before it drained while we hit the rapids was up to my knees. You get absolutely soaking wet and it is amazing. If you like boating and thrill rides, this is the adventure for you. (We sat in the front row, which is much recommended).

    Shirley W.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Niagara and booked one of the whirlpool jet tours for July 4th. It was an absolute blast! We sat in the front row and got absolutely soaked, so be prepared! Captain Mike and Amanda were awesome throughout the trip. I highly recommend going on a hot day to cool off. It is a bit on the pricier side though, we paid $126 for two people. Only one complaint: I bought the $50 package to get the video clips and photos from the ride, and out of the 37 pics included and 4 videos, there was only 1 video clip of the front few rows and no photos. Everything was from the back of the boat or the last few rows. I sent an email to see if there was any more footage that I could get from them or even get a refund but haven't heard back yet. Definitely disappointed to have paid $50 to not get any fun videos from the trip. Update: Staff is awesome and updating to 5 stars! They responded to my email and apologized for the mix up. I received a bunch more photos (attaching a few here so you can see how much fun this was!) and will be receiving videos shortly. Great customer service :D

A must do on your trip to Niagara Falls / Buffalo NY! I've lived in Buffalo my entire life and never made it here until today, boy have I missed out! What a fun adventure and view of the rapids you couldn't get any other way. Our tour guide Nicole was very informative and energetic- I learned lots of history and cool facts about the gorge. If you choose the open air / wet tour boat, you will get absolutely drenched- so dress appropriately. I picked a warm day, and the water felt great. (There is a enclosed boat option for those not looking to get wet) I recommend getting there a minimum of 30-45 mins early to check in, get your spare clothes and valuables in one of the free lockers, and listen to the safety briefing.

I got soaked from head to toe and the boat went SUPER fast. The staff were super nice. They played music so the vibe was also nice.

This…read moreis my third visit this season and fourth visit overall and the ride always serve major thrills. I've been with and without my kids. If your kids are under 100lbs, they cannot sit in the first four rows. Without kids, I've sat in the first row. The waves hit you a lot harder when sitting in the first row. By the fifth row, you get less of the hit, although it depends on your jet operator. The entire ride is 45m long. You have to arrive 45m before your ride time to check in and attend a short briefing. You can then decide if you want to put on the poncho and/or pants. The poncho does not mean that you won't get wet, because you will. It only acts as a thin barrier between you and the wind. If it's a hot humid day, I would opt out of the poncho. Once everyone has their life jackets on and are seated in the jet, it starts off slow and scenic with some commentary on the Canadian and US power plants. You will experience The Devil's Hole Class V Rapids 4 or 5 times - the waves hit you like a brick wall! It's best to put anything that you don't want to lose in the pouch in front of you (glasses, sunglasses, hat, phones, etc). You can see people along the way as you can hike down to the river. The tour also takes you to see the Class VI rapids, but you can't go through it without incurring a $200K fine. I highly recommend this jet tour experience. My kids are 7&9 and they thoroughly enjoyed this exhilarating ride. Remember to wear water shoes and you'll most definitely lose your flip flops. Wear your bathing suits and bring a towel and change of clothes - you will get wet!!

On the Maid of the Mist, you get close to Horshoe Falls and just feel the loud roar and energy of the falls. Absolutely stunning! Went on the hurricane deck at Cave of the Winds and got a hydrotherapy massage underneath Bridal Veil Falls. The water was intense and so powerful. A magnificent experience. We had lunch at Maple Leaf Place. Food was ok. Couldn't really eat from the food court since I have IBS so I don't have much to say about the food. The steak poutine was recommended and I was told that it was good. ‍ I didn't skip out on the maple syrup and fudge tasting though. Yum! Delicious. Had no clue there were 3 different types of maple syrup and I found that I like the dark amber syrup the best. Bought some chocolate covered blueberries and jujubes. My husband loved them...me not so much. I prefer my chocolate with no fruit, but I did enjoy their tasty orange dreamsicle fudge. Because there was a big tour bus that arrived at Maple Leaf Place just a few minutes we got there, our time at the food court took too long since the lines were long and everybody in my family were hungry. This meant that it cut our time for souvenir shopping. I'm sure my hubby was happy about that. After lunch, we went to Skylon Tower and went to the observation deck. We got a bird's eye view of not just the Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil Falls but all of the town of Niagara Falls. Beautiful! Thank you Over The Falls Tour and Jessica! Not so much so for the sign itself, but for the fact that, as a tourist, I didn't have any cash on me. They say on the site that guides love taking pictures for you, well that's kind of hard to do, if you're way back up at the van. Not that I wanted my picture taken at any time, and if I did I could've asked someone in the group to, but it just seemed odd for him to stay back. Especially if somebody in the group got injured or something. -We didn't seem to do much. Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, lunch, the actual power station, whirlpool, floral clock, Table Rock, and Skylon Tower. I had done pretty much everything else, so I don't know what more they could've done. But maybe they could've done 1-2 more things if they shortened the lunch break. I got a couple of discounts when I signed up, but ultimately, I don't think it was worth it. I don't regret it, but if I could do it over, I would've just crossed the border myself to do Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist, and done Skylon Tower on my own.

I really like how the folks who organized the tour make it a point to talk to all the folks in the group to try and get to know where everyone is from and a little about the family. It felt personable and not like you're another body on their tour but that they genuinely want to know where their "guests " are from; not just another customer. I would recommend their tour to anyone looking to do one. Maid of the mist was the coolest experience! What a view of all the falls. Would recommend a camera with a handle of some sort. Horseshoe falls was windy and wet! I was worried about dropping my phone. A lot of people start pushing to get to the railing of the ship. Not everyone on the boat is from your tour group. We got on the boat and stood by the side rail of the boat to get the view. My son and I were standing there by ourselves and people start filling in. As you get close to the falls people push you out of the way to try and squeeze in to get their photo. We were literally pushed out of the way. Hence the reason I was worried about dropping my phone. Cave of the winds also an experience but not what I was expecting. Maybe I didn't do my research but, I thought it was something different. The staircase down to the falls was pretty cool, you really get a glimpse of how powerful the falls are. You're right up there next to the American fall, it was very wet and windy. I got a little nervous, if you drop anything, it's gone. Hard to take pictures with hurricane force winds and the amount of water coming at you. Definitely suggest a camera with some sort of a handle or something. Saw a certificate in a gift shop that said I survived the hurricane winds of cave of the winds...had I have known it was going to be what it was I might have chosen not to do this part of the tour. But at the same time it was a pretty cool experience. I have no regrets doing it, just wasn't expecting to get blasted and soaked by the falls!

Anyway, Jim, the tour salesguy assured us that the tours would cost more when we got to our hotel. As we were staying at the Marriott Fallsview (which is is not cheap) we had already said we would try and cut down on other "luxuries". Jim was right, the hotel tours were more expensive. We paid $84.97 total pp for a 4 hour tour which included Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, and a few other stops. Nick, our tour guide picked us up on time and he was wonderful. Lots of jokes-- some were funny, the ones that weren't were still funny b/c they were cheesy. Overall, a great and informative guy--even told us where to get good, cheap food. Now, why is it cheaper than the other tours? While everyone else is riding around in the comfort of a climate controlled bus or one of those modern mini-bus/vans, we were shoveled into a white (off white due to age) 14 passenger dodge van. Yes, the regular old style dodge van. No climate control -- it was either too hot or when we opened the window to get air, the draft was killing me. I didn't say anything about the draft b/c I had already asked for the window to be opened. Stepping in and out of the van you could see massive rust. Seats were not comfortable b/c remember, you're in an old van. The saving grace of this tour was the great and informative tour guide, who also doubles as the driver, Nick, and the cost.

One of my cousins has a bit of an obsession with natural sweeteners and scheduled a trip to White Meadows for us last weekend. It was a bit of a drive from our Finger Lakes Airbnb that involved a literal border crossing, but honestly was worth the trek. I wasn't sure what to expect beyond a deluge of maple leaf signs/flags, but I definitely left with an appreciation of the insane amount of work required to make this without using mass-produced corn syrup. We'd scheduled a tour, subsequent syrup tasting and charcuterie board for a 1:30pm start time. Not knowing what drama we might encounter at the border (there was absolutely none - deliciously uneventful; this isn't the border anyone gets particularly riled up about), we got here super early and had ample time to look around the gift shop. I barely considered the implications of the tariffs and didn't bother buying any maple syrup - understandably when I went to the farm's website later, it indicated they're not shipping to the US right now. That decision will haunt me for weeks and maybe months to come. Our guide was Nathan, who was an absolute superstar. I can't recommend this guy highly enough. He was engaging and knew how to talk about the science and concepts behind maple syrup and its cultivation on the farm in a way that was easily digestible but also very in-depth and informative. We were in a pretty inquisitive group, and he fielded a myriad of questions ably; I also liked that once or twice, he didn't know the answer and just said that - sadly a rarity in this day and age. But that didn't happen very often; Nathan knows maple syrup. The tour consists of a 10 to 15-minute discussion in one of the prep rooms near the gift shop (where most of the equipment and technical terminology is broken down), followed by a 10-minute tractor ride to the woods on the other side of the property to the tree-tapping area where the majority of the tour takes place, followed by a ride back to the starting point and a five-minute tasting of the four syrups made on the farm. One piece of constructive feedback - there were several young children there who were honestly a bit of a distraction. This is probably school age kid friendly but there were some very antsy toddlers (and even an infant) who just weren't old enough for this. I'd put a disclaimer up on the website that this isn't really appropriate for pups that young so the parents know ahead of time not to bother booking it. It is really wild seeing how much goes into creating maple syrup on a mom-and-pop farm like this. The intricate weaving of the taps/tubes throughout the forest leading to a storage tank out of site, and seeing how aggressive you have to be to take advantage of the very narrow window that sap can be harvested? Had no idea. If nothing else, you'll definitely come away from this being blown away by the syrup trade and the immense work required. You just never think about this stuff when you're at the diner pouring (not real) syrup onto your pancakes. The tasting and charcuterie were really good too - if you're already here, I'd spring for the charcuterie so you can sample the syrups and assorted meats/cheeses on a grander scale than just the tasting. The only annoying part were the yellowjackets constantly trying to get in on the fun (which I found out in Canada are more commonly referred to as wasps). I honestly have no idea how they can fix or alleviate that issue since by definition you're putting sweet/sugary stuff out on picnic tables, but might be worth troubleshooting down the line. Absolutely would recommend if you happen to be in the general Upstate NY area and have your passport handy. But make sure you actually buy the syrup there - I have no idea when I'm going to get a chance to sup on the Golden grade of syrup again.

The restaurants here were not as organized, they were not set up for our arrival, seemed like they didn't know we were coming. One restaurant dropped someone's burger and it seemed like forever to get it replaced. Another restaurant had the food waiting but no utensils and it took ten minutes to get so by then the food was cold.First Tour was great , the second I was a little disappointed with the restaurants.

It was a great walking tour with yummy food and interesting history. The second tour was the Lewiston Prohibition Tour led by amiable tour guide Giovanna taking us through the war of 1812, the underground railroad and the Prohibition Era in Lewiston. This tour takes you to four restaurants with accompanying cocktails. The first restaurant offered a hot tempted elvis burger .I made arrangements for vegetarian options prior to the tour .Was hoping to have tried the elvis option as a veggie burger as it's on their menu, but instead only got a veggies skewer and they didn't even offer the stuffed pepper dip that other received. Another restaurant the food sat cold waiting for us to get forks .Although the history was interesting the food options were disappointing.
