Shahnaz is an absolute angel and incredibly funny- I finally have a salon here in OC (after initial reluctance to leave my place in San Diego). I needed a post-quarantine cut and keratin treatment because my hair was turning into an absolute disaster. I always get antsy about a significant cut and taking off too much length, but I brought in a picture of the length I wanted, and Shahnaz gave me the *exact* cut I asked for. She's absolutely meticulous and gave me the softest, healthiest hair ever. Shahnaz doesn't take credit cards so make sure to have another payment, I used Venmo but she also accepts checks (maybe cash too, just make sure before your visit). And the price was super, super reasonable. Obviously sanitation is important during a pandemic- Wildroot goes above and beyond, which is why I chose them. Before you enter the salon you have to get a text from your stylist so there aren't too many people waiting inside. Everyone wears a mask. They have plastic barriers between every single chair, and curtains between the hair-washing stations. And Shahnaz sanitized/wiped down every single chair I sat on as soon as I got up. So- I recently had a baby and have neglected myself for over three months! That added with zero sleep has left me selfish exhausted and going through the motions... I've been coming here consistently for the last couple of years. Robyn is amazing! She does a fantastic job with shaping and assesses what styles would look best on you. I have bangs and she cuts them perfect every time! I never experience the freshly cut, "give it a week to look good" feeling whenever she does my hair - it just looks good as soon as it's done. Robyn also did my hair for my wedding anShe spent quite a bit of time with me to go over the styles during our trial. She was super patient looking through my Pinterest board (a must have for any bride) and it genuinely feels like she is having so much fun doing my hair! On the day of my wedding we settled on a loose half up half down style with a gorgeous braid and a hair accessory. I even asked her to trim my bangs, which at the time didn't feel like a big deal but apparently is quite the gamble.
