CONS: Bare minimum apartment. My unit smells like old cigarettes and the bathroom smells of old cat urine. Units are old (built in 80s), there are no overhead lights so the rooms are very dark. No in-unit washer and dryer, and the on-site laundromat constantly has W/Ds that are broken. Additionally, they're not free so you have to pay for Washer and Dryer. No FIOS hookup here, only spectrum. Gym shouldn't be considered an amenity because it can hold a maximum of 2 people at a time - just your typical 'gym' to attract people to move here. The pool grills do not work. PROs: Not very expensive compared to other places; however, despite low monthly cost, this place is still overpriced in my opinion. The staff is very nice. All interactions I've had with the employees here has been great. Very helpful and friendly. Maintenance staff is very helpful and responds to inquiries very quickly. Can't speak for all units, but this unit has a working, wood burning fireplace which is a unique amenity for an apartment. read more

Angela, the manager, and the maintenance people are an absolute joke! While I was applying for a unit last year I helped defend her against an irate tenant and this is how you get treated. Angela, I dare you to challange me on any of these, but you will try on maybe one.... and lose! - They are constantly remodeling, so you will suffer. Apology email will be sent though. - Better get the move in pinch list done before you sign anything. I waited 6 months. Best to have everything in writing or she will deny it! Waiting for you to call me out Angela! - HVAC and mold - they go by the book and have 4 pages on this so BEWARE! It took me getting an attorney before she finally responded. - I begged to be let out of my lease - Incompetent manager finally got the gate fixed (too k multiple times) and she handed out fobs on a Friday evening and they didn't even work! I mean how stupid do you have to be. - Mold issues - Roof leaks. Fixed ceiling fast because I complained of mold. - Roof leaks again! - Now they finally let me out of my lease. Roaches, don't leave your door open for 2 seconds- - Closed pool because they felt like it - Oh but there is an Angela advertised food truck every 4pm=6pm Friday. Whoopeee. My grandmother doesn't even eat that early. - Did I mention ceiling still not fixed - Refrigerator whistles like a steam boat... Cant sleep... that is after I get awakened by the HVAC which kicks like a hammer on and off Oh, but their maintenance fixes it ... Huge red flag! Still don't have a screen since I moved in a year ago. _ Tiles still leak in bath that they tried to fix with putty! Then tried to fix and didn't seal the grout. Still leaks. - Oh and my favorite was a whole in concrete outside steps and the maintenance guy Kilian just pulled the neighbors mat over till he could :order parts"! Call me a liar on any of these and I swear to god Ill put you in court Angela!!!! I can keep going on, but lastly (along with the gate fob u screwed up Angela) Mold Mold Mold! I have pictures. The worst apartment complex I have ever lived in.it s an old place and there was always problem with sealing.They were getting into my apartment even at 3 am without any permission also manager and staff was too rude.Especially the bold guy who is manager of the fixing staff. Nephew just moved in 2nd week in December. Clean place, updated appliances. I saw another apartment with the "old" appliances outside the door. I guess they are being replaced too. Nice one bedroom for a first apartment. He hasn't been there long enough to see how the common area is kept, however I observed the handyman/maintenance man riding in a golf cart, going to different buildings. I met him and he was friendly and helpful. The complex has a pool and common patio/picnic area near the business office. Should be nice to hang out in the Spring and Summer. P.S. Please don't live here. I know that the pricing is nice considering the neighborhood but it's not worth it. I've been here since 2021 and it's been horrible and my lease is up this summer and I wish I could leave immediately. There has been a rodent problem in my unit since September 2021. When I first addressed it back in 2021, they didn't respond to my requests about checking for rodents until one was caught in a trap that my father bought. Then all they did was put another trap down and when that one caught another and I basically yelled in the office, they finally went in and inspected my apartment for real, they realized that there were multiple holes in my apartment where rodents could come through my apartment and they closed them up. This should've been found prior to me moving into the apartment. I renewed my lease for 2 reasons: the issue had been handled and there was no activity at the time of my renewal, and I'm a teacher and at the time of my renewal, there wasn't much affordable housing. But now, I am moving out as soon as I can. In December, my apartment was flooded on Christmas Eve due to a pipe bursting earlier in the complex. They didn't turn the water off because the water was "moving away from the apartments." My unit and 4 others were flooded. And when maintenance arrived, they didn't have a shop vac to clean up the water in my apartment. And I was suggested to use towels. Now the property does have new management but I feel like I've been gaslighted every time I have voiced a concern. When my apartment was flooded, I brought up the concern of the holes that had been covered and if they would have expand or be damaged because my cabinets had spread from the water. I was told that it wouldn't happen and I shouldn't be concern. Now it's March and I've started to see signs of having rodents again. I reach out to the office to have pest control inspect my apartment. This past Tuesday, the pest control company came but didn't follow any of the requests that I had given to the office. I had requested for my oven and refrigerator to be moved and my bottom cabinets to be inspected. (I don't use those cabinets because of fear). I came home and saw the door hanger from the Pest company but I could tell that they didn't do anything because I had purposefully left items in certain place to ensure whether they had moved anything or not. I never received a message about their "findings." This morning I woke up to one of the sticky pads that was underneath my oven sticking out which was a sign that something was either caught or had been moved. At this point, I'm over these issues and honestly want to get out of my lease. I emailed the management company RAM that's based in Atlanta explaining everything and received an email back saying someone would be in contact. I also emailed the property manager and they had the maintenance guy check out my apartment and he agreed that there is "activity" in my complex. My lease is up soon and they won't let me get out of it, so I asked if I could transfer to a different unit because who would want to live in fear of a rodent or rodents being in their apartment. They told me that I could transfer but I would have to redo the application process and pay $250 for app and admin and my rent would possibly increase depending on the unit I transfer to since my apartment which is 696 sq is now going for $1347 since they started "renovating apartments." I would still get out of my lease on its original deadline but its ridiculous that I have to pay when I am the person suffering with this problem. There is also not a washer and dryer in any of the 1 bedrooms, so totally not worth paying the prices for that lack of amenity that's standard now in most apartments. read more

I have been extremely happy at Wildwood for the past 7 months. I am on a tight budget but I'm also in my 30s and wanted to have my own apartment, and that's what led me to choose this complex. Wildwood provides a safe, convenient, and comfortable option for Charlotte residents who can't afford, or simply don't want to live in, the luxury apartment complexes in South End or NoDa. The move-in process was seamless and easy. I was shown the exact unit that I'd be moving in to, was quoted flat-rate prices with no hidden surprises, and dealt directly with Christina, who is wonderful and reliable. All of the staff here are extremely friendly, honest, and genuinely care about providing a great environment for their residents. I appreciate that I see the same faces everyday, from the office staff to the maintenance crew. The apartments are older and look somewhat outdated - it is not a luxury complex. However, the appliances work, the doors lock, and my fellow residents keep the shared outdoor areas nice and clean. The only major drawback with Wildwood is the lack of washers and dryers in the units. I love nearly everything else about the complex, from the pet-friendly policy, to the location, to the safe and comfortable community feel, and most importantly - the kind and trustworthy staff members. It has been a wonderful experience living here, and I'm very thankful that complexes like Wildwood still exist in Charlotte! Happy to call this place home. read more

I have been at Wildwood since 2015 and absolutely adore the community and staff! It is in a great area that is convenient to South Park, South End and the light rail. Everything I could ask for at a great price! There have also been many improvements to the community over the last few months including a brand new fitness center, clubhouse, pool deck, laundry equipment and even landscaping! The community is older but well maintained and the service team is awesome! read more

I have had nothing but good experiences here. Affordable for the area, a great neighborhood, and management has been very quick with resolving maintenance issues, etc. Roger and Killian have been extremely receptive and always timely to fixing any plumbing or A/C issues, etc. The pool is great in the warmer months and the leasing office has only ever been caring and helpful whenever any concerns have come up. It seems as though this type of quality service is a rarity in too many apartment complexes out there. I just renewed my lease here and am glad I did. read more

I've been living at Wildwood apartments since May of 2016 and so far I have been very pleased. I love the location of the apartments because it is close to the South Park area, close to Uptown and close to the trendy South End area. I also love the scenic view that my apartment provides as a bonus I get to see deer come out through out the day to eat vegetation. One other thing I wanted to mention is that the staff is fantastic, they are not only nice to you when you first move in but are very friendly way after the fact. Although the offices are nice, the apartments are not that well kept. They advertise that that the apartments have been renovated but in actuality the wood floors looks like they are from the 90s and there are cracks in bathroom, and a pest issue. They moved me towards the back 2 days before move in where all the "wild life is". But my biggest problem is they are hiring 3rd party people and selling information to them when residents are FORCED to provide information to them. read more

Awful- Resolve Partners the management company of this property will attempt to charge you for false things and after you attempt to move out due to them not fixing a leak for over a month that was ruining your floor and causing health risks they will send your charges to collections within days even if you attempt to fight it in court they try to pressure you by ruining your credit (Which is illegal). Do not live here or you risk them screwing you. ... My feedback in regards to the comment below would be to look into the accounts handled by Brittany ( the no longer manager/employee of the company after being terminated) and to not claim people owe you money and attempt to ruin their credit based off of what she claimed to be true. It's just going to keep getting you sued and will most likely end your career as well. read more

I work Uptown, so the location is perfect for me. All staff are friendly and helpful. I have not had any maintenance issues but when the residents above me did, one of the maintenance staff arrived quickly and took care of the problem. I was impressed with the quick response. The property is quiet and all of the other residents that I have met are nice. I had looked at several other properties but I'm glad that I picked this one. read more

I am greatful that I was able to move back to apartments so close to uptown at an affordable rate. However, I have had issues with the management staff since I have been here. Upon moving in, I took pictures and sent them to the entire management team to review. I have never had a shower/tub that was completed painted. I moved in my apartment November of 2020. They first week the paint started to chip in the shower and since then has been continual chipping. I sent pictures via email and the online portal. A maintenance guy came out and they updated the work request in the portal as complete. No work was ever completed. I think it is utterly disguisting to have to shower and paint is chipping as you are washing. My rent has never been late, I am not a disruptive tenant, and I NEVER get a response via email or phone. If I was gonna be treated in this manner, it would have been nice for them to inform me of this treatment I'd be receiving. I am ready for my lease to be up so that I can go somewhere and be treated better than what I have been receiving these last 4 months. I lived here almost 10 years ago when I was in college and this was not what I was expecting to come back to. read more

I have lived at Wildwood for one and a half years and have enjoyed the experience. The staff is very courteous and responsive, taking care of needed repairs (I had my dishwasher replaced free of charge) quickly. The staff also goes out of their way to host nice events, like Halloween parties and other seasonal festivities. The community is a nice mix of younger single people, families, and others. Wildwood also isn't loud and feels very safe. There's a ton of parking, so finding a place near my apartment is never an issue. The one bedroom apartment I currently rent is of great value, with plenty of space, solid appliances in the kitchen, and even a fireplace. The location is great: a 2 minute drive to Montford, 5 minute drive to the SouthPark Mall, and 10 minute drive to South End + Uptown. The only issues I think are relevant are a couple broader maintenance-related things. It took a few months for the gate to be repaired, sometimes the dumpster area gets overloaded, and when it rains heavily one section of the road gets flooded. But overall, those smaller issues don't outweigh the great service, nice atmosphere, and great value you'll get from Wildwood. read more

The location is perfect! There is so much to do around. The mall is 10 minutes away and the grocery store is not even 5. Everyone that works here is very friendly and very helpful. When my boyfriend and I first visited the apartments, the staff did everything in their power to relay that this was a pet friendly, wonderful environment where your apartment really feels like home and their efforts definitely made all the difference. read more

We just renewed our lease for another 10 months. We moved here from Indiana in December and so far, things have gone very well. The biggest trouble we had was setting up cable when we first arrived. The trees and location of our apartment made it so we could not get satellite. We now have Time Warner Cable and haven't had any more issues with that. One time we had to call maintenance about a clogged garbage disposal and it was fixed in a day or two. I have lived at Wildwood Apartments for a year and a half now. It's not the newest apartment complex in the area, but it is clean, friendly and safe. I have only had issues with my neighbors (Whom management couldn't really control, not their fault) and once in a while issues with my plumbing. The apartment itself is nice, but we made the mistake of trying to move blind from Michigan and really got the runaround. Not to mention the rental contract nickel and dimes you, and if your apartment faces the wrong direction (like mine) you are screwed for cable options. My advice - definitely see the place but don't let the management push you around. read more

Do not move here. They do not maintain the property. If something breaks it may never get repaired. Walls and ceilings are cracked. Laundry facility sucks and steals money. Management changes every year. Work out room is a joke. Gate in front break often and sometimes residents are locked out. the rent is raised yearly and more than you are told. I have lived at Wildwood for about 8 months and overall would recommend it to a friend. Pros: - Low rent. You get what you pay for in terms of the age of the apartments - Proximity to Uptown/South Park - Friendly/helpful staff in the office - Maintenance staff are responsive & friendly - Pet friendly (but the dog park could use some work) - Well maintained pool - Spacious closets - Paying rent & utilities online is easy Cons: - Gates are pretty useless. They don't really keep anyone out since they stay open for so long between cars. - Landscaping could use some help. Wish the money that was spent on painting the buildings yellow was spent on some new shrubs, tree work, flowers, etc. - and maybe paving the entrance way too. Holy pot holes! - Tennis court is a waste of space. Make this the new dog park : ) - Since the apartments are on the older side, most things are dated and show their age (kitchen & bathroom mainly - laundry facilities too) read more

I would highly recommend not moving in here. The staff is full of empty promises on implementing any suggestions to improve the complex. The gate at the front NEVER works. Anyone can come in and out without any problem. There was a notice left on each of our apartment doors about theft in the area, yet the gate stayed open through all hours of the night. I had a problem with insects in my apartment I was told I would have to wait until next week when the "bug guy" comes back. When that didn't work I called and e-mailed again and waited 3 days for a response only to find out that I would have to again wait until the "bug guy" came back. If you ignore my advice please read over your lease carefully as they will try to add an additional month onto the lease upon signing. read more

So I've been "living" here four years and it's consistently terrible. The pool is closed in the middle of summer every year, so don't be fooled by it because you pay for it but can't use the pool!!. My boyfriend and I moved here blindly from Indiana, and we just now re-signed a lease! Everything has been going great so far. I get packages delivered frequently and they always have them ready, waiting for me when I get there. One time I called and they knew me by name!..Everyone really does love places where they know your name; makes you feel at home. My car was stolen, as was my next store neighbors. From what I have read on the internet this is a recurring problem. Yet no extra steps have been taken to mitigate this risk. Funny thing is that my car was stolen during the rare time of the year in which both gates were fully functioning. In addition I had to pay 70 dollars for gate and laundry keys that were in my car when it was stolen. Also was charged for carpet stains that were not visible when I moved in due to recently being cleaned. Also the walls are paper thin, so you should hope you and your neighbor have similar music tastes. The AC units in the ceiling are sound like a diesel powered tractor.
