Removed my last post for a new one, under the new ownership they got rid of all the lovely folks that where hired from Tom and Carol and replaced with people who don't care about people just money, I have to say it's sad to see a Business change so quickly. I use to say go to them for quality and great staff but no more, big box stores get you the items you ordered much faster, Standard TV will get you done quicker and actually show up. read more

We have used Willamette Valley Appliance for years. Their prices and service are GREAT. We just had an issue with our refrigerator and they were here within 24 hours. Mark was our service rep and was fabulous. A very quick diagnosis and fixed within 48 hours. Very impressed with the turnaround. I highly recommend them. read more

Works customer service ever. Paid $330 for a repair and the washer continued to leak in the same spot. they came out a second time to tell me the washer is beyond repair. After a week of ignoring my original call they call me back after I made another call to them and offer me $35 which he stated is "half of the service call" to resolve the fact that their technicians did crappy work and didn't properly diagnose the problem the first time. Would give a 0 star review if possible. New owners of this location have zero customer service skills. Technicians do shotty work. read more

Our washing machine went out the week of October 15, 2018. Although we could have gotten the same machine and price from a big box, we decided to try a small business, thus WVA. We bought the Whirlpool washing machine on October 24, 2018 from Derik and it was delivered on October 26, 2018. The delivery truck backed into my garage overhang and crushed my gutter. I have photos. The delivery guy took pictures with his phone and sent them to his office in Keizer. The machine the guys delivered had a dent in the side panel, so we sent it all back. The new machine was delivered on October 31, 2018. I talked to Derik on the phone and even went back to the store about the gutter. He said this was deivery's fault and I would have to talk to someone in Keizer. I did that and after the first call, they never would talk to me or call me back and Derik would not help. I'm out $2,922 for the gutter. WVA has not made an offer to participate in this cost or been willing to talk to me or answer my calls. This was the second appliance I bought from this store and will certainly be the last. This has been one of the most frustrating buying experiences of my long life. Go to the big box. At least they back up what you buy. Do not do business with this company. read more

If you ever need an appliance fixed, Walt's is AWESOME! Called at 8am to see if they could schedule an appointment, diagnosed the problem over the phone and at 10:30am our refrigerator was fixed! Fast, friendly, knowledgeable people and didn't cost an arm and a leg. Plus, their service call fee includes a 30 day re-service period, in case anything else goes wrong with the fridge. Will definitely be using them in the future. read more

I spent two days shopping for all new appliances for my rebuild. I decided to keep it local and on Oct 2nd ordered all my new appliances. This has been the worst experience ever. We called to check on our appliance order and were told to call the warehouse ourselves and ask. After doing that we are told our refrigerator is on backorder for 10 months and that was apparently known at the time we ordered. Our sales rep never told us that and the staff has since left the Canby Location. I'm reassured that I will get a call the following day to see about a different model. After 4 days I call back and they have no idea what's they are going to do. I ask for a refund and told to go to the Canby Store to receive it, once there my husband is told they can't refund. I have to call and request that someone tell the new employee they can refund! All my other stuff is delivered and to add salt to the wound we pay a $300 delivery charge after spending countless hours and going into their business 4 times to inquire. They should probably pay me for my time and gas! What a mess! read more

We just moved into a new home with a 10 year old oven and after a month of using this appliance, today when I had raw chicken waiting to go in, it gave me an error code of E7 which is electrical....I called Walt Appliance and they were so kind to give me an alternate option of resetting the cercuit breaker and waiting a couple of min, instead of charging me the $430 to replace. I feel that when a company is a good one, they will help you instead of charge you when they can. I would use Walt's in a heartbeat if this happens to need replacement. Worst service ever. Didn't call as promised to deliver, I had to call to find out washerdryer had been ready for days. Delivery guys Turned on the washer with all the directions etc inside to shred and make a mess. Promised two rebates... after months of messages with rebate company we finally received one... you promised on February 3, 2018 to mail us a check for the other one... it's March 6... still waiting. We won't return to your store. I can get this crappy service from Home Depot and they were less expenive. read more

Walt's started off real strong. We bought several appliances from them and paid more than we would have if we went to Best Buy, Home Depot or any other in the area. We were happy to do so because they were a local business. Our positive experience was short lived. The last appliance we bought was a nightmare. The product was good, but the install team struggled at best. They broke the appliance three times when trying to install it. After 2+ weeks, they were finally able to figure it out. In addition, we had a service technician out to fix our clothes washer and claimed there was some kind of electromagnetic field (he saw it on the Big Bang Theory) that was ultimately causing the problem and he would not be able to fix it. We were still charged for the call and the "repair." Will never go back to Walt's for anything, not even a part for a DIY fix. read more

I was in need of a washer in a very shorrt amount of time. My Samsung had literally blown the top off of the base of the washer. Needless to say I did not go shopping for a Samsung, Willamette Valley had a great selection and what I have learned is that the washers without the agitator do not get clothes clean... So I went looking for one with an agitator and that seemed to be the only type WV had because they are far superior to the other types without an agitator. I compared what Home Depot had and they did not have the high-quality that machines but rather the trendy washers without agitators. The customer service was immediate and thorough at WV. They delivered my washer the next day and had it all set up. Customer service from the time I entered the store to being able to run my first load is not to be taken for granted these days. I am a very happy customer and will definitely be back as we will be upgrading other appliances soon. read more

Walts is a great home town appliance store. Their service techs are awesome. We have only bought one appliance here only because I work at a big box store where I support my employer. Wants employees have helped me to walk through my own repairs and have repaired at least 3 different appliances over the past 20 years. They are a great resource and friendly store. I had asked about brands of washers, new vs used, refrigerators & freezers (NEVER buy used!), and was wonderfully overwhelmed by the amount of information I received. We have purchased several appliances from Willamette Valley Appliance over the past couple of years and have been satisfied with their service, selection and pricing. However recently we bought a dishwasher from them, and when it was installed it was found to be defective. The installers removed our old working dishwasher and left the defective one in place, which we could not use. We were told that they would order another unit and it would take a couple of weeks to arrive. It's been a couple of weeks and we have called several times only to be told that either they were unaware of the new unit being ordered, or they did not know who we were; eventually they figured out who we were, but the answer is always that the unit is "on order." On our last call they said the unit would be here in a couple of days. We have been without a working dishwasher all this time, which is a problem because we foster teenage boys and have a lot of dishes. Between working fulltime and the special-needs foster care we provide, my husband and I both work 50 to 60 hours per week. Having to deal with handwashing piles of dishes at the end of very long days has been a real headache. WVA has not offered to bring a portable dishwasher to us, or at least give some kind of discount for the inconvenience, or even acknowledged that they took our working dishwasher and our money and left us with nothing. I am sorry to say that I would hesitate to recommend them or to buy from them again; but we have paid for something we have not received and now have to spend an hour or so each day handwashing dishes. Not the end of the world, but after putting in a 13 hour day, a sinkful of dirty dishes is the last thing we want to face! read more

Tom and Carol at Walt's Appliances are great. We were looking for a new, top-loading washer and dryer. Our research led us to narrow our search to the Maytag XL Bravos units. Tom and Carol are very knowledgeable of their products and extremely helpful. We left the store on Saturday and posted an ad on Craigslist that afternoon to sell our old units. They sold on Sunday and we found ourselves without any way to do laundry. I called Tom from work Monday morning and he said they would deliver the new units that afternoon. I just needed to have a check ready when they arrived. They called when they were leaving store, took my check and set everything up just as promised. Try asking your local big-box store to accept your order over the phone and deliver the same day (free delivery by the way). read more

We bought a refrigerator and dishwasher from Walt's because we heard they were great. Prices were OK n par with Home Depot, etc. but Walt's installers broke our water line connection to the refrigerator and Walt's refused to either fix it or pay for the plumbing repair bill. Very disappointed! read more
