Our favorite winery and we live in Eugene. Fabulous hilltop view that makes you feel like you are in Tuscany. Wonderful outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade and I think in the winter still maybe igloos ! Excellent wines, including the Griffin Creek Cabernet , Cabernet Franc, Syrah and other reds as well as their own Pinot Gris , white Pinot Noir, Rose Pinot Noir and Pinot Noir, etc. (all of these were in the seasonal tasting flight. Who knew there was such variety !) Our server today was Tyler H. and we want to make sure he gets credit for this! He was taking our order at the outside bar and went out of his way to go inside and get the free seasonal tasting carafes all brought out to our table in a little carrier so I did not have to walk back-and-forth to the inside tasting bar at age 79. We bought two bottles of other wines, a Syrah to drink there and a Viognier to take home. And that earned us the $25 credit which gave us the free tasting flight! Tyler handled all of this for us from the outside bar so all we had to do was sit down. We usually just have the Angus burger with truffle fries and it is always special and delicious at just $24. And Tyler made sure my Dutch husband got his mayonnaise for the fries ! On Thursdays and some other days the flatbread pizzas are also great. If I could drink as much wine as I'd like, I would definitely become a member and was tempted to become an owner, but I'm too old for that delight. read more

Both Samantha and Conner were efficient and professional. The Steelhead curry was very good and great temperature. They have great outdoor seating, but inside is nice to watch the action. I didn't do it this trip, but they have a chefs table that is a 4 course lunch at 2pm each weekday, and pairs with wine. I will try that next. read more

I was quite impressed with the menu selection. We went to taste the new releases and decided to stay and try their food options and they were outstanding. The charcuterie board could have fed a group of six easily and it had such a variety of options and they even allowed for some substitutions for dietary needs. Everyone was smiling and friendly. People were so happy to have us at the vineyard and to showcase their recent releases. The sommeliers were very good at identifying the wine that matched the flavor profiles that each of us enjoyed the most. One of the best reasons to support this winery is because they do have so many accessible price points where you can get a reasonable table wine up to a very spendy cellar wine. Met two friends here for lunch. Of course the wine was amazing. The recommendation was spot on. I got a glass and my friends split a bottle. I thought my pour was light and would get a bottle next time. Two of us got the pizza and one got the burger. He liked his burger. I went off menu for my pizza. They got the ingredients right but it was not really hot and the cheese not melted. It was an obvious difference next to my friends' pizza. Her pizza looked right out of the oven. I had to flag down the waitress. She offered to hear it more (my pizza minus the one slice). I agreed and ate a slice from my friend's pizza while I waited. When she came back, they had made a whole new pizza which was much better. It was hard to figure out where my friends were. There are several parking lots too. Once I called them and he guided me in, all was good. We were in the Estate tasting room. The view is amazing. On August 18, I treated a friend to a tour of the facility of Willamette Valley Vineyards. Bradley did a great job with the tour - even tolerated me since this is at least the third time that I have done it and I was adding "editorial comments". The wines were very good, but we love the Griffin Creek. The cheese and cracker board at the end was a nice touch. The new policy of having the cost of the tour go towards the purchase of two bottles (of Griffin Creek) was AMAZING! read more

I love wine, our party loves wine, not cheap wine, good wine. The vineyard is gorgeous, the estate tasting room in lovely. I, and my traveling friends, decided WVV is probably more hype than meat. Unfortunately, our overall opinion: overrated There were no personal touches, no excitement in the marketing the of the tastings, just "what is your order" and " do you want to be a member?" We ordered our flights, a little food ( the 2 flatbreads were yummy) and & $200 later we left, not to return. Absolutely stunning view. My wife and I took my parents here and they absolutely loved it. From the beautiful entry way to the winding road up to the Winery, and the view from the top of the restaurant. Our server was incredibly friendly. There aren't a lot of food options but she was definitely helpful with wine selection. Both my wife and my mum had their wine flights. They both said they enjoyed their selections, although their pours do seem to fluctuate between each wine. It's supposed to be 1 oz or a shot, and on average I'd say they pour slightly more than that; however the amount varies between wines, so I don't know if it has any correlation to the price of the wine. Either way the price of the flight is negated if you buy 2 bottles of wine before leaving, so it's a pretty solid deal. Especially considering that they let you sample the wine if you're trying to buy a bottle. Regarding the food, as I said, the selection is pretty slim, so we ended up all getting the same Burger. That being said the burger itself was amazing. They had a lot of different components that worked very well together. The potato straws were super crunchy, the sweetness of the jam, and a healthy serving of bleu cheese. The only thing that I thought was lacking was the fries, which were pretty underwhelming. read more

Beautiful building with spectacular views. We went for a tasting and lunch and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Priscila was our server and she had great knowledge of the wines and was very personable while offering excellent service. I had the burger, which was fantastic, and my wife had a salad with steak. We are travelling through and decided to stop by for lunch today since we've been driving past it for the last 10 years. We were excited to finally experience it. Restaurant had a great ambiance, food was delicious and our waiter Breanna was very patient and attentive with our party (we were a party of 5 adults and 4 small kids). Overall had an excellent experience until I stopped by the bar on our way out to purchase some chocolates that my 6 year old spotted. The female worker named Kameron was absolutely unprofessional, looked angry and rude to my daughter. I paid and left before she could ruin my memory of this winery any further. No idea why she was treating us that way. She was neither our waitress, nor did she assist Breanna in anyway with serving our table, so she had no reason to act that way. I hope she gets a remedial course on how to properly treat paying customers because we will NOT be back. But Breanna, thank you for your amazing service! Such a lovely vineyard. Enjoyed the wine tasting here outside in the patio overlooking the beautiful valley so green and serene. We decided to do the wine tasting outdoors because it was such a pretty sunny and warm day. You do have to go up to the bar (also located outside) for your flight(s). There was only one bartender when we went a few weeks ago and even though the line doesn't get long, 1-3 people ahead of you takes a while for your turn. If you're sitting inside the wine tasting process would be different. Although the pours aren't generous it's very calculated, I would still recommend coming to enjoy an afternoon because it is very relaxing. We also enjoyed some appetizers and they were delicious. The grounds are clean and very well kept; we went to the store and purchased a grenache truffle that melted in your mouth and a cool looking beaver aerator. Friendly people at the store. read more

After spending almost a week in the Willamette Valley exploring wineries, this by far was my favorite experience! We did the tasting tour with Danielle and she was awesome. We got to try 6 different wines on the tour while also seeing different parts of the winery where varying steps of the wine making process are completed. It was cool to see these stages in person while being able to ask questions as needed. I wish we had more room in our luggage to bring more of their wines home! Unfortunately, they cannot ship wine to our home state either. We ended up enjoying the 2019 Estate Pinot Noir on site after our tour and then taking home a bottle of the 2018 Appellation Cuvee Pinot. We also made it a point to visit their tasting room the next day since we wanted to revisit this place! At the end of the tour, we had a private area to sit and enjoy our last tasting and a plate of cheese, pickled onions (SO GOOD!), almonds, and crackers. We both eat gluten free and they were able to swap the crackers on the table for a GF option- thank you for this!!! In addition to friendly service, great wine, and a great tour, the grounds here and breath taking! I would highly recommend visiting here and saving room to bring home some bottles if you're flying :) We have been able to find one Willamette Valley Vineyard wine near our home and I am definitely going to be on the lookout for any again. read more

Purely based the wine and food, they had delicious clams and the older wine was fantastic. Did the reserve / elevated wine tasting and it was worth it. I can't stop thinking about the 2017 Bernau Block Pinot Nior. The place had amazing views and had both indoor and outdoor seating. Limited parking near the entrance so you may have to walk uphill or around the building. Note of caution, we did not know that they served food / had a food menu and bought food with us. According to my friends, as I was looking for parking, a staff member was a bit snippy about how outside foods are not allowed. Nonetheless, make a visit and see what you all like. read more

Our trip wouldn't have been complete without a visit to wine county. This beautiful vineyard has indoor and outdoor spaces for one to enjoy. During our visit, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the walk up bar. From the patio, the views were amazing! I highly recommend trying the reserve flight. Our favorites were: 2017 Griffin creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 Griffin creek Malbec 2017 Elton Pinot Noir We also paired our wines with the Dungeness crab and artichoke dip. Delish!
