I would consider it eclectic but casual in ambiance and the food was a different version of American brunch dishes you may be familiar with. Parking is limited, a few spaces behind the restaurant and a "hope and prayer" for street parking. I found parking behind the building thankfully. The food was divine. I enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros and would totally recommend again. It's not the typical Huevos Rancheros, which is why I liked it. It's filling and I enjoyed the grilled chorizo. I recently came to Willa's for lunch here is what I thought. Atmosphere: The place is quaintly and simply decorated with pops of color throughout the space. The space is big with lots of natural light coming in which I loved! Bathrooms: They have restrooms for men and women. The women's restroom had two stalls. The bathroom was pretty clean. I didn't like the coloring of the bathroom, it would make me crazy if I had to sit in there for a long period of time. Service: The minute we walked in, we weren't greeted by anyone and we just looked around because we'd never been here before. It took about a minute or two for someone to help us get a table. The rest of the service was good overall. Our food came out quick. I do wish the happy hour options were explained to us when we sat down, we had to ask our waiter to explain it to us. Food: I'd say overall their food is good, it's not the best I've had in Tampa. If you want to come for a decent brunch and drinks this is a good spot. We tried the 'potato latkes' as an appetizer which was really good. I had their 'Smashburger' for my entree which was good, but I've had better. I did like their fries. The drinks were the best part! I had their 'Pink Hugo' which was really good and my friend had their 'Green Machine' which was delicious. Overall the food was good, but nothing amazing to me. Maybe I didn't order the right thing. I'd be willing to come back and try their brunch options as that seems to be what people like the most. Overall, it's a good place to come for lunch with a friend. It wasn't super busy on a weekday, so you don't need a reservation. The prices are decent, but everything in Tampa is more pricey now. **Parking Tip: they have a VERY small parking lot for customers behind the building. There is a larger gravel parking lot behind the building where you have to PAY to park. It was around $6/2 hours, I'm not sure if it's more expensive at different times. We love coming to Willa's for dinner. You can rest assure the food is always tasty and the servings are just right. If you're in the mood for an appetizer, I suggest the Herb Focaccia (the herb oil is delicious), potato chips and dip (I believe the chips are homemade), and when in season the olives. The olives were my favorite, but they haven't been on the menu the last several times we visited. We've tried half the menu but my favorite is the rigatoni that you can get without protein or add to the side. As for dessert, I absolutely love the s'mores chocolate custard. Also very delicious! The service is always serving! lol it's always quick, attentive, and friendly. The only downside is the limited time you have at your table (90min) when AJ is there to dj, but we get it! :) I do recommend going on a night when he's there, and also on a night when you can have more time to hang out. We wanted to have breakfast on Saturday morning, so we went to Willa's. We found parking in their lot. We checked in at the reception, then got seated at our table and greeted by the server. After looking at the menu, we ordered Black Coffee, a Latte, a Chicken Salad Sandwich, Nate Plate with Salmon, Scrambled Eggs, and Kids French Toast. We got our coffees first, and they were made really well, a great start to our breakfast! We got the rest of our food around 10 minutes later. We had Chicken Salad Sandwich, Nate Plate with Salmon, Scrambled Eggs, and French Toast for breakfast, and they were all delicious! I've never had brussels amongst so many other food items all at once. Highly recommend. The espresso martini here is brewed with legit straight from the espresso machine espresso. Super duper duper strong espresso taste. I think it was even too much espresso for me. The French onion soup was pretty good. Not as good as Boulon on Water Street, but I liked it. Atmosphere was fine but apparently the 4th Friday of every month they have a DJ - lucky us (sarcasm). We came for a casual evening but the place was LOUD LOUD LOUD! Fortunately, we were able to sit outside and were able to have a somewhat normal weekend. Service was fine and food came out fast. Overall food was mid - not horrible but not return-worthy for us. The pimento cheese was supposed to have bacon but it wasn't noticeable at all. The fried crackers were interesting and definitely freshly fried. My branzino was ok as were the fingerling potatoes. The brown butter creamed kale had a spinach texture which was probably the best thing on my plate. They are known for their rotisserie chicken which my wife ordered (and I tried). I rate her chicken as mid as well - the dark meat was a little dry so I can't imagine what the white meat was like. It definitely had to be sitting. read more

On to the food- I ordered the citrus shrimp salad and honestly I didn't get citrus at all- it had a lot of berries and dried berries as I felt it was missing the "tang" to balance the sweet in the salad. I went to Willa's for dinner on Friday night with my girlfriends and it was such a cute and easy spot for a Friday night out. It was busy but not packed, which we were honestly relieved about since it was the day before Valentine's Day. We were a little nervous about the wait but got sat right away, and our server was great. We all ordered the French onion soup and it was incredible. Definitely the standout of the night. We decided to do a bunch of small plates and appetizers to share. Overall everything was good, but I was not over the top impressed with the shareables. The Brussels sprouts were amazing, but we also ordered the bread, chips and dip, and a meat dish. The meat felt a little odd since it did not come with crackers or anything to pair it with, which made it harder to share. Here's my take. I have visited Willa's twice and had two very different experiences. The service was exceptional both visits and it has a cute vibe inside. Nothing crazy just a subtle cutness. Now for the food. Once I visited for brunch which was amazing! They have a delicious ricotta, lemon curd French toast breakfast and a fun coffee selection. I tried bites of everyone in my parties food, and it was all amazing. Last night I visited durning dinner, and it just wasn't my thing.I felt like the dinner menu was overpriced for what it is. Had brunch here on a Thursday and really enjoyed it! It wasn't super busy around 11am, my friend and I brought our babies and there was ample space for us and 2 high chairs without it feeling cramped or chaotic. Our waitress was so nice and quick to give us the highlight reel of the menu and give us some great recommendations. The iced caramel latte was fantastic - not overly sweet and not watered down. I love using lemon8 to find cute restaurants and cafes, and i'm so glad i decided to visit this one. As soon as i saw the pink menus and beautiful interior i knew i had to add to it to my list. We stopped by later in the day at around 6 and were greeted kindly as soon as we got through the door. The hostess showed us to our seat and helped us with the menu where we saw wicked drinks! We both got Glinda's (as a mocktail) and it came with a bubble on-top to pop and glitter. The same hostess was kind enough to offer us some photos with our drinks and did perfect with the angles . DO NOT SKIP BRUNCH!! The food is an edible masterpiece. While in Tampa with my daughters, we just wanted breakfast. Just a normal breakfast. We were not mentally prepared for this Master Class in culinary art. Nate's Breakfast was brilliant. Eggs scrambled perfectly. Latkes were thicker than I've normally had them (maybe 10mm thick) with a perfectly crunchy outside, and creamy in the inside. The salmon was good, as were the onions, and the avocado was ripe. The garlic aoli was wonderful, and had an extra herb-y flavor that I couldn't place. Tasting everything by itself was great, but combining it all into one bite made fireworks in my mouth. Brilliant. The Breakfast Plate came with 2 of the most perfect over-medium eggs I've ever seen. The toast was, this is going to sound ridiculous, the toastiest toast I've ever eaten. Like someone stood over an open flame just slowly toasting it to perfection. And it had a hint of sweetness. And the bacon. Thick bacon. Almost like someone made a mistake. Like 3 average slices of bacon in one. And how did they get such thick bacon to be firm, but not burnt, I'll never know. Fabulous dish. The Avocado Toast consisted of a fairly thick slice of toast, with at least one whole avocado spread over it's entirety, and eggs Sunny Side Up. This bite is everything you'd imagine: creamy, crunchy, and just a little bit messy. :) But absolutely worth it!! Incredible. Sourdough French Toast. I have never in my life had a culmination of exquisite independent flavors as was in one bite with these ingredients. The French Toast itself had a crunchy exterior, with a twinge of sourdough that one would anticipate, but then a split second later a sweetness that supported, but not overwhelmed, the bite. And that was just the bread. It is served with ricotta, but a bitey, creamy ricotta. And the lemon curd puts all other lemon flavored things to shame. Texture was that of a lemon pudding. Sour. Lemon up front. No doubting it's ingredient. And berries. :). So, if you've been paying attention, a bite with all of these was powerful: crunchy French Toast with a punch of lemon, subtly calmed with a creamy ricotta, then finished with a slight sweetness. There should be a movie based on a book about this Sourdough French Toast. Magnificent. The staff was incredibly kind and delightful. I am pretty sure I talked to everyone working the floor. :) The interior gave an "elegance in a warehouse" vibe, much like the prom in a barn that I grew up with. The service is always phenomenal especially the servers who have recommendations ready for you like they can read your mind on what you want. Their house salad is to die for. It shares a wall-and a parking lot with Willa's Provisions (coffee/tea/breakfast items) next door. They're located in the young, energetic north Hyde Park/NoHo area. You can walk to other spots from here. There's parking on two sides of the building, with some overflow spots. Prices are comparable to other places-and you definitely get tour money's worth. Stopped by this gem while on vacay, and it seriously delivered. Super clean, bigger than it looks from outside--and yes, there's a cozy coffee shop attached! My server (pretty sure her name was Katie) was the best--super friendly, knew her whiskey, and hooked me up with an espresso martini with whiskey that was strong, smooth, and just what I needed. When we arrived the hostesses asked us if we'd like a table or to sit at the bar, we sat at the bar and the bartender wasn't really spritely. I get she was busy, but she didn't greet us nor did she introduce herself. She gave us the menus and asked us if we've been there before and if we'd like to order. We let her know it was our first time there so she said let her know if we had any questions from the menu. While we waited for our food we asked for spring water and she said there wasn't any, but I found some in their min fridge across from us at the bar. She apologized though. Then she put in an order for hot matcha tea instead of iced like I asked. She wasn't really attentive, but was nice, we talked to her a bit and her demeanor changed from tense to chill. My boyfriend had to ask her, her name and it is Cass. The food was good for the most part, I really liked the potato onion latkes. The roasted chicken frites was yummy, but the skin needed more crisp and if it didn't have the garlic aioli on it; it would have been unseasoned. My boyfriend's scrambled eggs were watery and he had to send it back two times, but his sourdough French toast was superb. I actually wanted his food instead of mine. First time getting breakfast at Willa's and it won't be last! The Fig Street is one of my favorite lattes in Tampa, so I'm always excited to get it. I ordered it hot, half-sweet. I ordered the Nate's plate, which has scrambled eggs, gravlax, latkes, and sliced avocado. It looked gorgeous and tasted even better. Plus, it was actually a fair amount of food once I started digging into it! The eggs were buttery and salty, the latkes were delicious (although prepared differently than what I'm used to when it's more flaky hash-brown strips vibes) and the avo was perfectly ripe. Made a reservation for 10 AM on Saturday for my mom's birthday weekend but it was not busy. The staff honored my seating preference: No 1/2 booth with table & chair. I sampled my mother's grits and they were delicious. She described her Cappuccino as "THE. BEST." My medium well steak was definitely more well. Their mocktails are tasty alternatives. The Ginger Beer is made in house and was so flavorful I had to take one to-go. Our waitress was pleasant, checking in often, and topped off our experience with a complimentary candle lit treat.
