    Cream cheese brownies

I have always had a sweet tooth and love really good baked goods. William Greenberg Desserts is a NYC bakery institution. Located on the Upper East Side on Madison Avenue (and the it's not just a bakery it's NY history. Started in 1946 when, Mr. Greenberg returned from World War II. He wanted to open his "dream bakery." Sometimes, dreams really do come true. Known for their iconic black & white cookies which, are my all time favorite. I've loved black my cookies since I was a child. These are rated #1 in my book! The cake part of the cookie is moist and really flavorful. The ratio of black and white frosting is perfect. It's hard for me to walk out with just black & white cookies. I love their rainbow cookies. These are so much better the rainbow cookies found in many other bakeries. The regular brownies and cream cheese brownies, make my mouth water. They have an intense chocolate flavor, they are brownie perfection. Their rugelach are really good. Mr. Greenberg, thank you for a bakery that has continue to be delicious from generation to generation!

We came here with my in-laws as part of their NYC tour. My wife had been trying to get here ever since seeing it on Instagram and we used the special trip as an excuse. The staff were incredibly friendly and the place smelled wonderful. We ordered a black and white cookie and an oatmeal raisin cookie. Both were soft and buttery and tasted homemade. If you're in the area, I would try to stop by if you want to ease your sweet tooth

William Greenberg employees were not very cheerful and happy. They open 8am and I arrived around 8:30am. Someone already purchased the TWO Bran Muffins. I asked if I ordered them could they deliver. I was told based on my address they would charge $25! I was so flabbergasted by this I didn't ask if I could order and pick them up at this location! I left disappointed again after just visiting here last week to leave empty handed. I'm going to contact their customer service department to find out what the charge would be if I ordered a half dozen bran muffins without raisins and picked them up at this location. When I do I'll let you know. They're losing my business.

Black and White heaven in this tight shop on the Upper East Side! I waited until the following day to eat my B&W, so it wasn't fresh out of the oven. It was still excellent! The chocolate (black) side and vanilla (white) side were equally tremendous. Neither side was too rich nor too mellow. The cake part of the cookie was soft (but not too soft) and perfectly round. The right amount of frosting, which didn't bleed onto the back/round side. I love Black and White cookies, and this is definitely in my top 2!

It's Thanksgiving time, and I was successful at picking up the infamous CANDY CAKE from William Greenberg Desserts on the upper Eastside of Manhattan. Deliciousness at its BEST! The UWS is on shutdown (heavy delayed traffic) due to closed streets (86th CPW & Columbus Ave south to 78th Street CPW & Amsterdam Ave). Why you might asked...? It's the Macy's Day Parade balloons blowup prior to the parade on Thanksgiving Day.

I stumbled across William Greenberg Desserts while shopping on the UES. I knew exactly what it is because I have previously received a gift from here in the mail. I went in and left with a black & white cookie, a blue & white cookie, and a bag of rainbow cookies. Their rainbow cookies are among the very best. Actually so were the other cookies. Perfect cakeyness (new word :-)) and sweet precise fondant. I'm powerless to resist. I'll be back or I'll be ordering online.

    Mini Black and White

I ordered mini black and white cookies to hand out at a conference booth, and they were an absolute hit! Delivery to my hotel was seamless, and everything exceeded expectations. The cookies arrived fresh, beautifully packaged, and were incredibly delicious. Attendees raved about them, and they were a perfect giveaway. Thank you for the outstanding service and for helping make our presence at the event truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Thank you. Thank you for the absolute fluffiest, tasty cookie I've ever had, your black & white. I haven't had one of these before, and it was on my foodie bucket list. I'll definitely try more of your heavenly band goods.

While staying in NYC, I try and make it a point to find one or two Black & White Cookies to try from places when we are out. This was on a short list of some of the best, so while in the vicinity of a location, we popped in for a couple drinks and cookies. Staff wasn't the best - ignored us most of the time. Snagged a B&W - and I would put it in the middle of the 7 or so I've had in the city.

At least 1/2 of the cookies in a tin that were delivered came broken. They were tasty but half had to be thrown away .

As with all locations the Boba is the star. The strawberry Boba has a nice sweet chew that had great texture and bounce. The green tea was strong tea flavor without being bitter it was not overly sweet I will definitely recommend this location specifically because of the seating and ambiance Service was quick and packaging was efficient

I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
