It would be a better pic with wine in the glass but you get the idea.

This place is such a throwback to "old Napa" and that's a high compliment. The only thing that's over the top is the wine. Everything else is laid back and down home. Friendly, knowledgeable people pouring very fairly priced wine. The winemaker, Chuck McKahn is a young up and coming Napa superstar. I've been drinking the wines for a while and they were always good but have gotten exponentially better with each vintage the last few years. This was our first visit and it certainly won't be the last.

Such a wonderful experience! Took my mom here on a day trip and the service was phenomenal! Very peaceful atmosphere as well. Julie was very knowledgeable and fun! We will definitely be coming back.

What a fun place to visit! We just stopped in for a tasting & had a lot of fun chatting with the person pouring the wine & talking with others who were tasting. We enjoyed the wines & bought some as well. We even got to meet William Harrison as he walked in & said hello! It was so nice! The grounds look beautiful & the setting is just awesome - especially during sunset!

My wife and I enjoying great wine and beautiful scenery! Thank you again Doug!

My wife and I have always wanted to just get in the car and drive the Napa Valley and today was the day! On our way back to town we turned in to WM Harrison to try our luck...road construction made it tough to make it on time for our tasting but we made it just in time! Doug was an ABSOLUTE pleasure of a host. He seemed to go out of his way to make us feel comfortable and "safe" during these less than normal times. Thank you Doug for the experience and the "mamories"! See you next time!

I can't believe this isn't on yelp yet. Part of me wants to leave it that way so this place won't be spoiled by crowds, but my desire to share my appreciation for this winery is too great. William Harrison is a small family winery and my favorite to visit on the Silverado Trail. I can't leave without coning a member of my party into buying a bottle of the Estate Cabernet. It's half the price and just as good as overhyped Silver Oak's. The tasting room is essentially a log cabin complete with a stuffed bear. It's location on the trail makes it accessible enough that you don't need to go out of the way to get there, yet the tasting room is far enough off the main road that it feels like it's in a valley all it's own. There are tables out front where you can nibble on a snack and relax outside. this isn't the kind of place that frowns on outside food. The staff are always friendly and seem like they've been there for years. The experience here is more relaxed than anywhere else in Napa. It's a true gem.

Wow, what a great place. Personalized service, fabulous wine, and friendly atmosphere. You can bring your own snacks or lunch sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the traffic go my on the Silverado Trail. If you haven't been to this family owned winery you need to stop in and see Rod, Elaina and Rich they were great hosts.

We discovered this wonderful small winery in the Rutherford area, and were delightfully surprised at the wine tasting experience. Very hospitable people and a great patio area where we met some other folks enjoying the tastings. The Cab Franc and Rutherford Red were a pleasant standout. Would recommend, and will come back again!

We had such a blast at WH Vineyards! The Cabernet Franc is delicious and the Red Blend was our fave!! Met the owner and enjoyed chatting with other guests on the patio. Such a wonderful winery that attracts great people and offers amazing wines!!

Our SOM was great -- knowledgeable and very professional. We had plenty of time to enjoy the wines at our own pace and weren't rushed at all. Since the patio seatings weren't taken yet, they even let us sit wherever we wanted while checking out the winery. This is the only Napa winery I've been recommending to friends and family without hesitation, and it's one of the few wineries I wouldn't mind visiting again.

The caves are unlike any I have been in before where they are usually rustic. These are beautifully decorated and all kinds of art. The barrel tasting was great and surprisinly all their wines are pretty drinkable right out of the barrell I suppose because they dont have much tannins so they dont need alot of tiem to mellow. I liked most of them but at $250 a botttle I felt they were way overpriced compared to other high end Napa area wines we are familiar with. After the cave tour they sit inside and you get to try several more wines so we had plenty to drink. I was not expecting a full size pizza for the two of us we already had lunch plan right after so we took most of it with us. Probably wont be back since the value just isnt there for purchasing their wines but I do reccomend the tour.

Since wine preferences vary from person to person, this review will be about the tasting experience only. The tasting started with their sparkling brut rosé, which was pretty tasty, however, it seemed to lose its bubbles after a short few minute walk to their fermentation and aging facility, which indicates to me it had been opened for quite some time. The "tour" itself lasted less than 5 minutes and didn't really come with too much of an explanation--it was more or less just allowing us access to the winemaking facility and showing the barrel room. The tasting was seated in their covered, outdoor patio--a beautiful space--a included 3 wines in addition to the brut rosé: 2025 Estate Sauvignon Blanc, 2022 Cabernet Franc Blend, and the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon 'RLC'. One thing I really dislike about Napa Valley tastings is when they pour you wines you cannot buy because they're available to club members only. It's quite pervasive in the valley and unfortunately, Crocker & Starr was no different. The 2025 Estate Sauvignon Blanc was only available for purchase to club members. In addition, if you like to know the technical details for each wine, they do not have any tech sheets/production notes available on their website or at the tasting. They provide empty bottles of the wines in the tasting, however they didn't match the vintage so it wasn't even possible to know basic information like the ABV of the wines. It immediately sets off alarm bells in my mind when a winery is opaque with the winemaking/product details. Some of us want to know the final ABV, RS, TA, etc, and to not have this information available anywhere is quite bizarre, especially with many producers moving toward more transparency rather than less. Our host was friendly but not necessarily super knowledgeable about the production of the wines. For example, when we asked about RS in the Sauvignon Blanc, she started talking about brix at harvest, which unfortunately has nothing to do with RS in the wine, which she later claimed was 0g/L--a value that seemed contradictory to the palate experience of the wine and impossible to verify without tech sheets. Overall, it was a standard tasting experience and from where I was sitting, not at all worth $95/person. Yes, I get it--Napa is expensive and they're selling "experiences" rather than tastings. However, based on our experience, this was merely a tasting and you can get a lot better ones for cheaper in the valley.

He has that rare ability to be both incredibly knowledgeable and effortlessly approachable, guiding us through the wines without ever making it feel scripted or overly formal. We were greeted with a beautiful sparkling wine to start, which was not only refreshing but also elevated the entire experience right out of the gate. It felt thoughtful, intentional, and frankly, a bit luxurious. And then, the pistachios. Such a small detail, but exactly the kind of touch that separates a good tasting from a memorable one. Perfectly paired, subtly reinforcing the wines, and just another example of how dialed-in the experience was. Geordy struck the perfect balance of education, storytelling, and hospitality. You can tell he genuinely cares about the wines, the property, and most importantly, the guests. There are a lot of great wineries in Napa. Experiences like this are what make certain ones stand out.
