I've been back since my last review years ago and just want to say the staff was amazing and food well delicious..

A wonderful suprise! We were looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite and this place really hit the mark! Service was friendly, quick, and solid. Food? DELICIOUS! I ordered one of their daily specials - a quesadilla (added chicken) and it was enormous and cooked to perfection - melty with well seasoned chicken - and served with fries, salsa, shredded lettuce/tomato and sour cream. $16.50 for this ENORMOUS meal was a deal and a half and so, so good. The rest of our party ordered seafood - haddock and stuffed shrimp - and these meals were well received (and raved about). Large portions but, more importantly, properly prepared and cooked seafood. They were THRILLED. All of us left with leftovers and that's a nice treat these days. We hope to take a ride back up that way soon just to try Williams again. We really enjoyed everything about it! read more

Food is excellent. Has anything from sandwiches to their fried seafood.. No complaints and the price is very competitive. The portion sizes are also equally large. Can't miss. When you go there - as we do often - we have Jahni as our waitress. She is a pleasure and helps make the Williams experience. She is full of life and love for what she does and it comes through. I wish some other places had that enthusiasm. All in all - go to Williams - just don't take my table. read more

Williams restaurant has updated its look and the service is excellent. They give you a good portion size for the price that you pay.

Great atmosphere,food is good and the have a decent variety to choose from for sandwiches and dinner meals. They also have a large banquet room that you can have big parties without paying extra, you just have to order the food. As some have mentioned parking is limited but we have always gotten a spot. It's close to our family's home. The service depends on how busy it is but the staff is friendly read more

I frequent this restaurant and I have to say that I'm always impressed. The food, the portions, the service, the drinks. The girls behind the bar on the weekends are hilarious and my favorite server is Jackie but I do like them all. The hostesses seem to be a bit moody at times but it doesn't stop me from coming in! I personally haven't had a party there but my friend has and she said it was a wonderful experience working with Nick and his planning for it. read more

Williams is a busy, popular restaurant on Gardner. I took 3 friends to Sunday lunch and the place was packed. We shared stuffed mushrooms and coconut shrimp as appetizers, and they were good. I would order them again. I had the baked stuffed haddock, topped with a seafood stuffing and a newburg sauce. It was disappointing. Visually unappealing with a squashed lump of stuffing on top and a non-distinguishable newburg sauce and the whole dish was over-cooked. The carrots and baked potato that accompanied it were excellent. I would not order it again. My partner ordered buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, which contained both ziti, cheese and pieces of buffalo chicken, but was not a true Mac and cheese. It too was not memorable/pretty slapdash, and she too would not order it again either. The two others in our party ordered a cheese burger and baked salmon and were pleased with their meals. The dining room was large and pleasing, but quite loud. Off street parking is available, but can be challenging on busy days. Would I make a repeat visit? Probably not if it was a restaurant I was considering.. The problem is, of course, that there are a very limited number of decent restaurants in the area. read more

We called here to inquire about having a 30th birthday party, and they could not have been more accommodating. We had a private area in the back of the restaurant with seating for 20 people. As the crowd got larger, our waiter helped set up more tables and chairs. Not only did he promptly take orders for drinks and food, but he was able to keep everyone's tab figured out and took separate payments at the end of the party. Food was excellent, drinks were good, and we could not have been more pleased. They let us bring balloons and a centerpiece and even gave us take out containers for leftover cake. Service was pretty normal I think. Food was alright but then again I only got the fries so I can't have much of a say on that. Ambiance? Well, last time I went I witnessed a fight. This place specializes in comfort food. The food is ample and delicious. The service is great, and the atmosphere is lively, very busy. There can be difficulty finding a parking spot during peak hours, but something opens up quickly. A great menu, with something for everyone. read more

have driven by many times, and stopped in one year, I mean years ago, with my son but it was so smokey we had a beer and left....so decided to give it another try, yelp reviews pretty good and parking lot always seemed busy....so we went...greeted by the greeter who did not seem very happy to see us but did get us to a table " here!" so here we were ...big attractive place . not as full as the parking lot seemed to indicate but the bar was full, with regulars I expect...interesting menu...we had the calamari, good, a reuben, very good, and the steak and cheese sandwich, also very good, we both had the onion chips which were different and also very good...food was very good, service was pleasant after our non greeting, drinks had some interesting choices, were smallish but priced accordingly....so we liked it here....it looks as though they have some function areas which could explain the large number of cars at some times.....try it!! read more

Decided to stop in for lunch after running errands. I was pleasantly surprised ! Ordered their french onion soup and a Greek salad . Nice presentation and both were fresh and delicious! I shared a dessert, their deep dish, apple crisp pie, which was scrumptious! Our server Andrea , greeted us with a smile and was warm and welcoming . She was also very attentive , checking back 4 times to make sure we were satisfied and / or didn't need anything . Excellent service ! The dinning area was very clean and comfortable . We ordered take out - A Turkey Club and a Pot Roast Dinner. We opened the pot roast, and the part of the meat not covered with gravy was green. We called the restaurant, and the hostess let us know that the manager would call back in a few minutes, because he was working the line in the kitchen. So, even when the management staff is on the line, responsible for quality control, customers get served moldy meat. We will never be back to Williams Restaurant in Gardner, MA, and we encourage you to look elsewhere if you are hungry. read more

Came here on 9-29-2022 with a friend. It was my first time eating at this Resturant, and I loved it. The presentation of our cocktails were fancy, colorful and tasty. We were served the homemade bread. If you love bread, this is highly recommended. We ordered the French onion soups for appetizers. This place has one of the best I've had tasted. I ordered chicken piccata for my entree, my friend ordered the baked stuffed sole dish from the specials menu. Both dishes were superb and were prepared perfectly. We had Lori as our server, and she was friendly and attentive. The Resturant is highly recommended and I will be back sooner then later. read more

These folks were the main venue for my wife's HS reunion. It was a combination cocktail hour and buffet meal and they did a great job! About a hundred of us descended upon the place on a Saturday night. We overwhelmed the parking lot but I don't hold that against them. We were an unusually large party. The cocktail hour was handled just fine. The staff was more than adequate and friendly. The drinks prices were typical. The room was nice with plenty of space for both standing and sitting. I'd go here with fiends for a drink any time. Let's move on to the buffet meal. The room was beautiful and nicely decorated for our event. The place settings were way above average. The salad was served. It was large, had lots of goodies, and was fresh. The choices on the buffet were very typical. Sliced beef, chicken, lasagna, mashed potatoes, etc., etc. What was not typical was the quality. Everybody commented on how good it was. Williams was a great choice for this event. read more

Not much to say here. Good old American food at normal adult prices. Food is always great. They remodeled the place, but it's still packed beyond belief. Parking lot crowd causes traffic delays on the road. Better to get takeout and avoid the mob of senior citizens that drink coffee for 4 hours while there is a line out the door. They always have great specials. I've never had a bad experience here. Some of the dining room table arrangements are less than ideal which may be due to COVID requirements so there ia not much they can do there. We've eaten here several times, the food seems pretty good. It's always hot, fresh, and there are fair sized portions, fairly priced. The service, is not great.
