A Mother's Day Sunday Morning. I signed up for the cooking demonstration class. The feature was the KitchenAid pasta attachment, and the lemon caper pasta. The store opened promptly at 11 AM and of course the store was clean and orderly. The employees were pleasant and it took everything in me to refrain from buying up the store. What saved me was the fact that I needed to go across the street to shop after the class. I had forgotten how easy it was to make pasta. And I've never thought to try their sauces because I usually make my own. This sauce was so delicious and easy to just heat and eat, but it tasted like it took a lot of time to make. Absolutely delicious. I had to buy a jar. I made my angel hair pasta with scallops and bacon, and I added a little extra capers and of course, Parmesan cheese. The next time, I will try it with a pounded chicken breast.. You've gotta go and get yourself a few jars. The shelf life is about a year and a half on the jar that I have. read more

Yelp Review 2025 #86: I've been going to this Williams Sonoma location for over 10 years because the one in Henderson is too far. It's the perfect place to get kitchenware and kitchen appliances. They also have yummy candy. My favorite is their banana gummies but they don't have them anymore. Baking pans, trays and tins, boxed mixes (for cornbread, cake, scones, cookies, waffles, etc), ladles, spoons, turkey grabber, spatulas, pots, pans, cups, mugs, plates, saucers, bowls, plates, chopping boards, linens, bottled sauces and spices, hot chocolate mix, food thermometer, honey, marinades, lemon curd, jans, jellies, preserves, spreads, pie filling, mortar and pestle, mixers...basically, if you need it for the kitchen, they have it! My recent visit was to get a new air fryer after our old one zonked out. They had 4 models available in different sizes and features. Went here with a friend a year ago and got treated alright. Went here again last week and got profiled by the 50 year old lady with micro bangs and bob. She looked at us like we were beneath the store and when helping a customer in the same aisle as me she micro-aggressively let out an "oh" as if shocked someone like myself would take up space in an aisle at a store. I was going to purchase some things for my birthday but decided against it as rude, racist individuals don't deserve others money/service. I've been coming to this location for a while now, and the staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. They often have their Nespresso machines running and will offer complimentary coffee or lattes, which is a nice touch. You can also sign up for in-store demos -- I've attended ones for pizza, strawberry shortcake, pesto, and a few others, and they're always fun and informative. The kitchen supply section is well-stocked with a wide range of tools, gadgets, and even cooking ingredients. They also bring in a knife sharpener at the beginning of each month, and the service is both affordable and convenient. Needed a roasting pan for the turkey. WS had the All-Clad one 50% off, so I had to get it. Called the store and Joe assisted me. Alas, the large size was sold out and had only one left of the small one. Joe even checked the store floor to see if there was another large one. Talk about going above and beyond. As my Turkey was only 10 lbs., the small one was fine. Husband went to pick up the order and remarked how nice the store is and how helpful the employees are. Glad this is my local WS and it's only 4 miles from my house (the only other WS in Vegas is in Henderson). Great employees, nice and clean store. read more

To the lady with the short black hair... My girlfriend and I received a gift card over the holiday and went in this store to try and use it. We were approached by a small lady with short black hair who was being very pushy and judgmental once we told her what we were there for. We wanted to browse and look around to see what we wanted yet she insisted on pointing us in the direction of cheaper items. Mind you, it is 40 degrees in Vegas so we are both in sweatpants and hoodies. There are other couples that look "the part" and got much different treatment than we did. It almost felt like she was following us around the store making sure we didn't break or steal anything. Lastly, thank you to the younger lady who checked us out as she was very nice, but the short black haired lady was standing right behind her talking about us in disgust to another employee. We will not be returning and see that many other people have also had similar experiences. read more

It was Christmas Eve and I was making a scone recipe that called for smoked sea salt and forgot to order it online before I was knee-deep in making it. Yikes! I called my go-to fancy kitchen store in Downtown Summerlin and they told me they were fresh out of smoked sea salt, but to try Williams-Sonoma. I called them next and I was pleased that they did indeed have it! I placed a hold on it and a few hours later, I went to pick up the salt. When I arrived, the store was kind of chaotic. The area where the line formed wasn't clearly defined, but I figured it out by following a Gucci mask-clad woman. I got to a register and was "helped" by a hostile woman named Elaine. I told her I was here to pick up a held item. She snapped back and asked if I paid already, but I told her it was just something I called for and asked to hold. She then went to the back and offered no clarification as to why she walked away. A few minutes later, another employee asked what name was associated with my order. I told her and miraculously, another employee found the salt right at the register. Elaine was still in the back or otherwise too busy to help me, in my sweatpants and messy bun. Christmas/Eve is not a happy holiday for everyone, especially in a year full of hurt and loss. Just because I didn't look the part of a typical Williams-Sonoma shopper on this particular day shouldn't mean that it's okay to treat me any less than the customer buying a set of Le Creuset pots, yet, that's what happened, I believe. I idled at the register for several minutes, during a time in which Elaine began helping another customer. She decided to return to me after that and cashed me out. She skipped the step of asking if I had a Williams-Sonoma rewards account (I do), maybe under the assumption that I didn't or shouldn't. As you can guess, I'm pretty ticked by how I was treated during this visit to Williams-Sonoma and by Elaine. If I'm spending $15 on 1/4c of salt, I'd like to at least be treated like a worthy customer. I won't be shopping at Williams-Sonoma again. read more

Stopped by last night to get a couple of peppermint barks (my absolute favorites). The store was pretty empty but there were 2 cashiers behind the counter. Surprisingly, I was not greeted upon entering the store. I browsed around the store for about 10 minutes and walked past a woman with long black hair who was coming out of the back storeroom with a box, she looked at me dismissively and continued speaking with the cashier. I guess her acknowledging my presence with a nod or smile was asking way too much. SMH. I picked up a jar of pumpkin butter and since it didn't have a price tag on it, I walked over to the cashier to ask. I said excuse me, but she was seriously intent on staring at the register, she apparently did not see me standing there. I waited a couple of minutes and said excuse me again, no response. At that point, I walked away and continued browsing. I wanted to ask about some chili bowls but decided not to as they seemed short staffed (there were only 3 salespeople that I did see - 1 in the back who never resurfaced and the 2 behind the counter). Eventually, I made my way to the checkout with my peppermint barks, burger truffle spread and the pumpkin butter. The woman with the short white hair was very nice during the checkout process so hence, the 2 stars. NOTE: I previously worked at Williams-Sonoma back in Hawaii for 3 years. We were told that every customer was to be greeted upon entry (although to be fair, we did have a designated greeter). We were also told to advise each customer to let us know if they needed any assistance. None of the above happened at this location. In reading the negative reviews posted on yelp, I can see that they are justified. WS, you need to remind your employees that the customers purchases pay their salaries so in essence customer service key. Hope someone in upper management is reading this. Probably won't be back to this location, unless I absolutely need something. read more

A few weeks ago, Williams Sonoma had an amazing sale online: 20% off Le Creuset and up to 65% off All-Clad cookware. I couldn't resist the sale, so I bought a 5.5 Round Le Creuset Dutch Oven and 5 qt All-Clad Stainless Steel Steamer. At the time, Costco had the same size Le Creuset Dutch oven for $199 -- but it has its limitations (oven safe for up to 400 degrees - this is will not work for certain recipes) so I decided to buy it at Williams Sonoma. Anyway, I got my Dutch oven and love it, but they sent me a sauce pan instead of a steamer (bummer) so I had to find time to make an in-person visit at this location. When I walked into the store, the employees were extremely accommodating and friendly. They took my receipt and processed it right away. I inquired about the cast iron grill pan and one of the employees (without me asking) took it to the register to check the price to see if it was still on sale. She was upbeat and enthusiastic about their products - great customer service. I usually shop here during the holidays to pick up their delicious hot chocolate, peppermint bark, stuffing mix, and gravy. They also have Fortnum & Mason loose leaf teas available (my favorite is Earl Grey). During the pre-COVID 19 days, I always enjoyed their samples and I hope that they continue to offer it again at some point. During all my visits, the employees have always been friendly. Maybe they've re-trained or got rid the ones that were causing issues? Not sure, but one thing that's lacking is their inventory. What they offer online does not reflect what they have in-store. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and will continue to shop here. I love their seasonal items and I got my Dutch oven for a great price! read more

I've been to this Williams Sonoma several times and have experienced nothing but poor/bad service. Seems like they do profile people as other Yelpers have stated but more on that here in a bit. My wife and I came here with our adult son. I was in the market for a Jura coffee maker. As soon as we entered my wife and I were ignored but they did greet my son who came in shortly after us. My son is mixed but has very Caucasian features where I am Pacific Islander. Needless to say, I did not purchase anything based upon this interaction or lack thereof. We came a second time with my SIL. Similar situation. I was in the market for a specific piece of Le Creuset that was exclusive to Williams Sonoma. Same thing occurred and confirmed my suspicions about this store. Needless to say since I do not fit in this store's demographics, I will not be spending any money or patronizing this store at all. read more

I suppose this is a maximization of space and resources, but the tight feel of the store is distracting. There are less sale items to be had, and not much assistance on the floor. However, I should recognize their kindness, as we bought a steam fryer in Henderson without the box, and they were able to find the correct box at this store. Terrible customer service. I had received mothers day gift with gift receipt . I called customer service and told them I wanted to get store credit and I realised it was 10 days over the time limit. The customer service person said that the local store would accommodate most likely.As I am a regular customer I went there hoping they would consider giving me store credit but they were rude.There was this older woman who was not nice . I have shopped at Williams-Sonoma for years back in Chicago. This location is the absolute worst. I had shopped for about an hour in a half checked out and their system took my money out of my bank. Their headquarters still hasn't fixed the issue with my bank so I lost my money still and didn't get any of the merchandise. I was told they never go on sale and when Bed Bath and Beyond use to honor 20% off they should not have. I purchased a $1500 product on May 1st and boom - a promotion hit on May 1st, after I purchased the item. The store nor corporate would stand behind the discount. I was pleasantly surprised at the check-out that offered the mil discount (after I inquired) which apparently is something they just recently started. I was also tempted to buy some Key-Lime Margarita mixers too for some adult snow cones! I'll keep it on my wish list, Sales team friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. They also have a snow cone maker for $69 that shaves ice. I did not buy it. The 2 times I've been here, I was not greeted upon entering. And both times the people after me were greeted. The first time I didn't think anything of it, but for it to happen a 2nd time, there's no coincidence. Maybe because I'm in my 30's and Asian. Love this store and it's historical presence as Chuck William's first location. It's got it's own unique energy with his house as part of the store. Staff is friendly and helpful. What they don't have they can order with waived shipping in most cases which is a plus. Delivery is most often very quick. Living in Sonoma it's great to support our local businesses and shop local. Bought an Instant Pot Pro and am having fun trying their selections of "starters" for quick tasty dishes and braising sauces. So many choices for quality cookware and utensils not to mention their infamous Xmas Peppermint Bark. It's a must stop if you're in Sonoma! read more

When we walked in we were not greeted no big deal however everyone who entered after me were but they were Caucasian and I am black so there you go. I started browsing around the store to try and find what I was looking for no one assisted me at all, never asked if I needed help but instead looked at me rolled there eyes and passed me right up but everyone else who walked in after me were asked by the associates if they needed help. I write so much about where I eat and what I eat that I really haven't paid homage to how I eat on a daily basis. Cooking, one of the love of my life. It is my stress reliever. If I wasn't a dentist, I may have chosen to cook for a living. Thank god for William-Sonoma I can do both and feel my sane. Some people love food because it taste good and it makes them feel good. But on a higher level, food taste better to me when I learn HOW to make it. That's a thrill for me. That's a prestige I truly admire. So it's given that I love Williams-Sonoma for it's one-stop-shop for gadgetries, cutleries, pots and pans, and anything related to cooking. They have a no-nonsense return policy which means you cooked a dish you didn't like, just return what you bought no questions asked. Buy knives here and they'll sharpen them for you when you need. I hated how my mom use to throw away her cheap pots and pans from Target because they started to rust and stick. Spring for better pans at Williams-Sonoma and get the LIFETIME GUARANTEED brand. My friends and I were browsing this store at 1001 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89145 on Friday night. I felt highly offended that the people working there (specifically this one lady, another one was at least attempting to help my friend find her bowl) were hovering and following us around the store as we were browsing. My friend was looking for a bowl to replace the one that she had broke. We felt very unwelcome. I'm not sure whether the workers assumed we were trying to steal something. Or if they were racist because of the Wuhan corona virus outbreak. To the older woman with short black hair that works here, because of you I will never be shopping at this store again. I went in to exchange a pot that was defective after explaining what had happened to a different employee over the phone. Both women were there when I went in to return it. The black haired woman was immediately put off by my request for a manager and turned her back on me while the other woman let me know it was her I had spoken with and started helping me. When the manager walked over the woman with black hair turned her back to me and told the manager that I used the pot on the stove which in turn meant I was lying when I told them it was defective. I only know this because I saw her say it in the reflection of the mirrored glass on the wall. The manager had no issues with my return and offered to exchange it out. I then watched the woman with short black hair walk towards the back of the store with the manager to get me another pot and once again watched her bad mouth me to the manager in the mirrored glass on the wall. Once the exchange was done with the second woman with blonde short hair and glasses, (forgive me I don't know anyone's names) I proceeded to put my pot in my bag and it made somewhat of a loud clanking noise as I put it in the bag. The woman with short black hair turned around and gave me the most disgusted judgmental look as if once again saying this is your own fault you idiot! I've never felt so disrespected by an employee of a store. She was so nasty to me for no reason. My return didn't affect her personally, it didn't cost her anything, it wasn't even her helping me but she made me feel so bad about having to exchange my purchased item and so uncomfortable why would I want to go back? I wish I would have spoken up and directly asked her if she clearly thought and was accusing me of lying to manager, why not say it to my face, but I left the store with my head held low with feelings hurt and feeling judged for something I didn't do. I literally have just met the most callous salesperson ever! Her name is Denise at the Charleston/Rampart store. I walked in and asked for a basket I purchased from Quail Farms. She said "it is gone, and threw up her hands up in disgust." There was absolutely no empathy whatsoever. I realize she had bad news to deliver to me, however, she went on to say they threw it away. Without ever an apology or conveying any feeling of empathy for the situation. I'm hoping that William Sonoma has a training program for their employees to learn to first greet the customer kindly, then listen to the customer, then regardless of the resolution; deliver it with compassion and understanding. AND THEN put this woman Denise through the training. I expected so much more from a high end corporate company with a reputation for going the extra mile. The store itself is quite nice. The staff are not. I went in on a Friday evening at 7:50pm to grab a bag of popcorn for my boyfriend. As I walked in the door, from across the store, and in front of other clients, the salesperson yelled "we're closed at 8!" As it was 7:50pm, I felt it was unwelcoming. I said "OK, thank-you" and turned to leave. As I was leaving she said "But if you know what you want, you can stay..." Wow. Thanks. The next day, I returned. Bad idea. I was mid-conversation on my cell phone, and was walking the store looking for the popcorn again. I had numerous salespeople say cattily "Oh. She's on the PHONE." I didn't realize I was in a gallery. After the salesperson swiped my card no less than 6 times to run my purchase, I walked out wondering why I had ever gone back the second time. And so, my recommendation is this: If you look like a 20-something female in workout gear and no makeup, don't put yourself through the punishment. These catty women will treat you like you don't deserve to be in the store. Save yourself the heartache and hassle and avoid the elitist attitude of these primped Summerlin saleswomen. Sorry, I sound so bitter, but it left a sour taste in my mouth. I just hope the popcorn was worth it. read more
