On June 13, 2025, we signed a contract with them. Work began July 21, 2025. They finished on May 26, 2026. The contract stated that it would take 4 months, possibly 5, to complete the project. It took them 10 months to complete. There was a total of at least 15 weeks (a week being 5 consecutive working days, i.e., Wednesday through Tuesday) where NOTHING was done at the house. Prior to beginning demolition, they required a total of 60% of the contract to be paid. At the end of demolition and rough-in, which took 4 weeks, they required a total of 84% to be paid. Then they wanted payment for the project to be substantially complete and usable prior to the installation of the glass shower walls or the master being usable. That would have been 95% of the contract. The supervising contractor stated that he would not have the shower glass installed until they were paid. I sent his boss a copy of the Florida legal requirements for being substantially complete and usable, and I also hired an attorney. When it came time for the final walkthrough and final payment, they didn't want to provide us with the Affidavit of Contractor's Final Payment, which shows if there are any subcontractors who have released their lien and those that haven't been paid and how much they are owed prior to receiving the final payment, even though we had the right to have it according to our attorney. Then, when we received the document, it was a "waiver and release of lien upon progress payment."

Well after the project started and the things promised were not, it went downhill. They measured incorrectly and the countertops did not fit. They had to cut out the finished drywall in order to fit without redoing the countertops. Now the new appliances do not fit properly. they stick out past the cabinets. The appliance installers (subcontractor) told me this was their first job, and it showed. They had to return to try to make things right. The appliances still do not fit properly. Their subcontractor plumber installed the new kitchen sink, and I had to call S&W to let them know there was water now leaking on our new cabinets. The subcontractor tile installer had to return several times to complete and fix tile issues. I had to call our own plumber because sewage and wastewater was backing up in our new shower and the toilet was overflowing. Our plumber spent several hours removing grout from the new plumbing, because he said the pipe was blocked by grout from the tile installer who installed our new shower tile. When I sent the plumber's invoice to S&W Kitchens, they refused to take any responsibility and said they were not accountable. The new shower glass wobbles and their solution is for us to pay more to try to make it work or remove the glass and pay again for new glass doors. There are a number of other things that were not done properly. I have spent a lot of my time trying to get these things corrected. Their communications is poor at best, unless they were reaching out for a check, then they call or stop by with their hand out. Their lack of accountability, supervision of their subcontractors, and overall quality of workmanship is why we would not recommend S&W Kitchens to anyone.

I have been here three times in the last week! I'm completely obsessed and all I have thought about…read moresince my first visit is throwing away everything toxic in my house and starting over with products from this store. The young lady that was there the first two days was so kind, and remembered us and things we purchased. Today I met the owner/product creator. We chatted about how he makes everything in house! Such a kind man who takes pride in his business. Everything we have purchased so far- hand soap, dish soap, face wash, laundry detergent, lotions, bar body soap - has been incredible. The quality is unmatched. I can pronounce every natural, non toxic ingredient. I love the zero waste, refilling aspect of this store too. I purchased glass and wheat (plastic alternative) bottles from them and the refill process is so easy. I'll be back! Again and again and again!

5 Stars for a shop where you can get sustainable, zero-waste cleaning supplies, lotions, candles,…read moreetc. This little family-owned shop (shout-out to Kelly, the matriarch, who helped us) is located in the same plaza as a bunch of great vintage thrift shops, Park Ave CDs, and Redlight Redlight. There's parking out front and the two times I've gone I've found a spot right away. Lufka describes their shop as an online and IRL store for "sustainable, zero-waste essentials. From eco-friendly cleaning supplies to handmade body and hair care, we offer high-quality, lovingly crafted products that are good for you and the planet." I went in with a glass bottle to fill with laundry detergent (they have bottles, or you can bring any receptacle you have on-hand for them to weigh the product). We also grabbed some hair conditioner and a metal tongue scraper. All in all, it was a simple process and I feel so much better refilling this bottle rather than filling landfills with more detergent bottles (70% don't get recycled, even if you try).
