After 3 hours of waiting to hear back from AAA where I am a premier member, they said they could not find a tow truck, could not schedule one in advance for the next day, and we were on our own to find our way back home and *might* get reimbursed for the expenses. I called Selovers who is a AAA contract and within a 10 minute phone call they made a plan to pick us up, drop us at a safe hotel, keep our car safe overnight, and then picked us up the next morning from the hotel to help us get back home safely the next morning. Not only that, every employee I spoke with was respectful and generous which was much appreciated after a stressful event when AAA was rude and incompetent. I was 700 miles into a 2,000 mile road trip to move my daughter out of her college dorm when my car…read moreengine failed on I5 a few miles south of Williams, CA. I managed to pull off to the right side of the road but was only a couple feet away from very fast cars and trucks that would shake my vehicle as they passed. I called AAA but the first towing company they got for me called me 15 minutes later saying they wouldn't be able to get to me for at least 3 hours! After a couple more calls to AAA and a visit from a friendly highway patrol officer, I received a very welcome call from Walter at L&T Towing saying he was on his way. Walter was very friendly and helped me through a stressful situation. He knew the local town of Williams well and directed me to a highly rated mechanic who was able to work on my car early the next morning. He even dropped me off at a nearby Motel 6 where I stayed for the night. I can't thank Walter and L&T Towing enough for their excellent service! Sadly, my car seems to be in bad shape, and I had to leave it in Williams while I continued my trip with a rental car to move my daughter. I'll be back for my car in a few days to have it towed to the Subaru dealer in Sacramento. Hopefully I'll be able to get AAA to use L&T Towing and ideally Walter again for this next tow.
