Friendly staff but there is only 1 table to sit at and no free wifi - so it is a place to pick up forgotten outdoor items at their (tiny) gear shop and browse their (tiny) book shop, and grab a coffee to go. The best lattes we have ever had. Hands down. (Great customer service, too!) We are avid coffee drinkers, consuming many cups a day. We also travel quite and make a point to stop in local coffee shops to try their specialities. We stayed in Kanab for a few days and walked to Willow Canyon Outdoor to give it a shot and we were not disappointed. We tried the honey & lavender latte (can't remember the name of it) with almond milk and were raving about it the rest of the day. As a side note, we were also extremely appreciative of the COVID-19 precautions the staff were taking: mask required for entry, prompted to wash hands upon entry as well, not taking any returns, etc. 10/10 coffee shop. read more

This was my first stop in Kanab today kicking off a 1 month visit & I couldn't have asked for anything better. This adorable shop makes a wicked delicious cappuccino & both the staff members I interacted with were able to help with questions I had about the area & a few extra tips I would have never thought to even inquire about. Upon entering there is a table with hand gel & a staff member who kindly asks you to sanitize & wear a mask. Was out camping and hiking the Kiabab Plateau and broke a buckle on my pack. They carry spare buckles in different sizes and made my day and trip enjoyable. They also carry a pretty good selection of hiking and backpacking stuff. Oh and a coffee shop. read more

Stoped by this shop and much to my surprise it was so adorable. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcomed! The coffee was so great, I ordered the Voo Doo coffee but had a hard time choosing since they had so many options! They had everything a hiker could need. The book selection was also great! This is a great shop with a good selection of outdoor equipment, books, etc. Everyone I've met there is very warm and friendly, very knowledgeable about things to do in the local area, and very helpful. The employees were nice but this was literally the WORST tasting coffee I have ever had, the espresso is really burnt, drinks weren't warm, too much syrup. It was busy inside but that's not an excuse to make bad drinks for the customers, calibrate your espresso, clean your ports filter or get better beans :) read more

Heading to the trailhead or coming back, this place is a great refreshment stop for coffee, book- and equipment-browsing. The "Red-Eye Shot in the Dark" is a tasty creative option I haven't encountered elsewhere: they provide one or two espresso shots in a cup, and you pump your desired coffee on top of that. I've been here several times over the last five years, and always make sure to stop by. The staff are friendly and cool, and the place has a good vibe. Willow Canyon Outdoor is all the good stuff you can find in an REI, but within a 750 square foot store. I needed a merino wool base layer pant and they had exactly what I needed. It's amazing how much stuff this little store has and it's all so well organized. We needed fuel for the jet burner and backpacking meals and they had both things on top of backpacks, disc golf discs, trail snacks, art work, and clothing. They pretty much have everything you need and they also seem to be the only outdoor supply shop in town. Super friendly staff as well. read more

Hard to find people who know how to make a cafe latte properly. Happy to say that they do here. Excellent coffee, and friendly service. Bonus that they offer 8oz cup size also. What's with American coffee cup sizes starting at small bucket size, and increasing in size up to large horse trough??? 8oz is perfect to get the true coffee flavour; 12oz if you really need a bit more. I've been coming to this store fir many years b/c they have good coffee, books, gear, clothes. Of course any store can have that BUT Charlie is an exceptional person! He went out of his way to help us and did it not to sell me more stuff but just to be a kind person! He helped us with out with our bikes after I had locked them and left the key in another state! The best coffee in the region. Not the best I've had, mind you, but the best I had access to while waiting on an order from Old Bisbee. The staff is very friendly. We had some pleasant conversations from time to time. One of the baristas read an Ed Abbey book on my recommendation. Outdoor gear is priced high, but generally of good quality. Such is to be expected in the region. When my boots failed suddenly and replacements were needed immediately, Willow Creek delivered. I call it a convenience fee. The Sportsman's Warehouse in St. George is a long drive. The book selection is limited, but good reading of local interest is available. read more

Top notch quality outdoor gear (not huge selection but better than most), quaint espresso bar for to go, and an interesting eclectic mix of books and small gifts. This place is no REI, but you get more service. This is a coffee shop, bookstore, and outdoor gear store. It's pretty small, so they're not going to have a huge selection, or every single size. But they make pretty good use of the space they have. A nice selection of books - mostly guide books of places in the area - Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, etc. And some general interest books that I approved of. I didn't have the coffee, but it was tempting - the cookies, etc. that I saw displayed looked good, so I'll assume that the coffee would have been pretty decent. read more
