Having travelled through Spain where tapas is a nearly an obsession we were thrilled to see a tapas and wine bar open in Prescott, particularly when several menu items were true Spanish tapas dishes. The restaurant has been open for over 6 months so my wife and I decided to give it a try and I made us a 730pm reservation. When we arrived our server was very pleasant but promptly advised us that the kitchen closed at 800pm. I was surprised. Number 1, it would have been nice to know this when I made a 730pm reservation as I could have adjusted our start time. Secondly, 8p is lame even by Prescott standards and particularly for tapas which is traditionally a casual and extended late evening dining experience. That being said, we sat, ordered a glass of wine and ordered an initial selection; Patatas Bravas and Gambas al Ajillo, both of which are common in tapas bars in Spain. I'll start with the Patatas Bravas; terrible. It looked like Ore Ida potatoes dumped from a bag and lightly coated with an uninspired sauce. The gambas was not much better. My wife actually had to ask for salt to give it some flavor. We very quickly (because the kitchen was closing) ordered a few additional plates; my wife got crab cakes, I ordered the salmon skewer followed by mussels and we shared an order of goat cheese and caramelized onions. My wife said that the crab cakes were very good. The rest of the meal was bland and mediocre. In addition, because we arrived 30 minutes before the kitchen closed the entire process was rushed. I might add, when we arrived the patio seating had a group of 4 seated and a couple who arrived minutes prior to us. Between 730 and 8p, eight additional people arrived. A group of four sat at 745p and I could hear their surprise when the server told them the kitchen was closing. Again, if you run a tapas and wine bar and hope to serve a clientele who understand tapas, 8p is a little early for closing. I'll speak next to the location. The restaurant is right on Willow Creek road. Even at 8p the traffic noise is loud. The ambiance on the patio was lovely but the noise from passing cars and motorcycles interrupted the dining experience. The price point for this restaurant would be acceptable if the food was good, which it isn't and you could enjoy dining which we didn't. With the tip we spent over $160 on marginal food and minimal atmosphere. I will say that the two servers we had were very nice and did a great job. We will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Hopefully a one off bad experience. I was really looking forward to trying this place, maybe we'll give it another shot after a few more months on its feet. The Wife and I ordered a few assorted tapas to really try the spread and unfortunately nothing really worked out well. Service was another bummer, the hostess was nice enough but our waiter seemed inexperienced both with the menu and wine in general. I wish I could rave about the Ambiance, while we ultimately sat outside I don't think we'd have had much luck in either. Patio being positioned roadside is great for Fumes and Noise and not much else you can tell they tried to muffle it but compensating with louder music I don't think is the solution. Indoors didn't seem all that much better from the brief walk through we had, there weren't too many folks inside, yet the dining room echos like nobody's business, and again the music is too loud. I try not to rip on interior design at restaurants but grey on grey on grey is painful in the year of our lord 2025. In any case Hopefully we'll get the chance to try them again in a few months when they have a chance to get their feet under them. read more

last night we enjoyed a fun-filled evening celebrating a wedding anniversary on the patio at Willow Tree. A group of 10 were served attentively by Naomi who demonstrated her knowledge of the diverse drink and food menu offering suggestions. I especially enjoyed the Gambas Al Ajillo and the white wine marinated steak tapas dishes. The peanut butter and chocolate empanada and ice cream finished off a lovely evening. read more

Three of us enjoyed ourselves on 3 July around 5PM. They now have Rombauer Chardonnay witch the Lushkateers ordered. We had crab cakes, Goat cheese w/carmalized onions,beef skewer and calamari. All were grat but the calamari serving was much smaller than my wifes last visit but crab cakes were bigger. Ok the converted gas station is finished and not far from our home. first... I have better wine in my cellar than 90% of the restaurants we visit. We like good wines and have a sommelier son! Also a restaurant friend told me wine is a tough sell as you sell one glass then the bottle has limited time before going bad. So, after tasting a couple bad wines, I had a nice beer! The Onion Tapas and French fries were great! And the steak in white wine was very good. I wanted to try their brunch today but they don't open till 1??? The patio is very nice in our great weather and service was good. Some may enjoy wine there, but it was not for us. But the food was a good variety. read more

I live very close to this restaurant and drive by every time I leave home. The parking lot is always full. This is certainly a case of not judging a book by the cover. From the outside, you'd never know just how wonderful restaurant is inside or on the patio. The tapas are very tasty and just a cut above. This place gives any other tapas restaurant a run for their money! I had a Spanish wine flight and another full glass of a Spanish white. The service was on point, very friendly and attentive. Soft opening today, March 20th 2025. Located on the corner of Smoke Tree and Willow Creek Rd. Cozy inside the restaurant with excellent seating outside. The sevice was excellent and frequently returned to our large party (7) to make sure we were good. Don't recommend parties over 4 inside but there is plenty of room outside. The bar seating was packed as well as the restaurant at 4pm. The food was excellent and we all shared to see what was good.. Everything we ate was great, fresh! The flat bread was a favorite but everything was good. The acoustics need a little work as it gets real noisy inside. The outside seating is beautiful and well thought out. Cute little place. We came on a Thursday for lunch. We chose to sit outside. Server was great. Food on the other hand needs work. I ordered the wine steak appetizer. Very salty. Its about 6 or 7 small slices of meat nicely cooked in a white wine and gorgonzola sauce. I ordered crustini for an extra dollar. You really should include some sort of bread for dipping for $18. My companion had the crab cakes. She said they were good but we're very small. I have her some of my sauce for her potatoes. Would I return, probably not. This is just pre packaged apatizers put together with no cooking skills necessary. The only food on this menu that is slightly tolerable is the bread non with some choice of toppings, these are just wannabe pizza, All the pre packaged apatizer ingredients are available at costco. Seating is way to close together I don't want to here people smacking when eating their crab cakes,which are pre packaged and microwaved. If your very hungry and in a hurry and don't mind paying way to much for bread and salad ths is your spot . Or you can go to costco bye and have on hand all these apatizers and a case of wine and beer you can drive home microwave the apatizers open wine and beer and save $50.00 easy not including tip read more

We have been wanting to try this place ever since it opened as it is near by and we are always looking for a new date night place. We had 3 Tapas, 2 glasses of wine and 2 domestic bottled beers. The tapas's were very good, the beer was cold and the wine was good. All good right?? Well no, the bill with tip came to $100. For a casual date night that did not even satisfy my hunger pains that's just way to expensive. As good as the tapas's were if I am going to spend $100 I want a full meal. I wish the new owner good luck but I have my reservations that Prescott can support this pricey option. read more
