We were given our choice of table and we choice near but not on the table in order to give the other couple some space. We ordered French onion soup to start which was very tasty and filling. I didn't know how I was going to eat my entree. Then while waiting for our entrees they brought the best selection of breads. They were so good I filled up on bread even more. Uh oh! Then came our entrees. I ordered the lamb shank which was delicious but luckily my husband helped me finish the meal. The severs were friendly, attentative and even though the restaurant was pretty empty they gave us the distance to enjoy our meal at our pace.

Peacock Room is a quaint 1930s art deco style restaurant with modern booths and a great menu. Prices are pretty good compared to other high end restaurants and a little more than the restaurants in Prescott, but definitely worth the splurge. Menu is varied and slightly limited but not too much that you cannot find anything you'd like. Everything can be customized to your preference. Seafood, Mexican style (if you're into that). There are benches outside, which should tell you something. People were congregating outside, waiting to get in.

But she had the place pretty under control, and the crowd was doing their best to be helpful. My dining companion and I even offered to wash dishes. I hope everyone tipped her well. She deserved it!
