Decided to try Willy B's for Sunday lunch. 2 of us. After seating it took 28 mins to have our order taken, we ordered the " Special" for 2. A Steak (and this is a Steakhouse) and the seafood lunch. A 6 top came in and was seated beside us and ordered (15 minutes after our order was turned in) and received their food in 17 minutes. Our food arrived at our table 53 minutes after our order was placed and 38 minutes after the 6 tip got theirs, and they got part of our order WRONG !!! What a mess. We waited over an hour for our food, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The steak came out basically raw--still "mooing"--and was mostly fat. The tea tasted old, and none of the food had any real seasoning. On top of that, every order at our table was messed up. We ordered two rolls and didn't receive either. The hamburger steak was overloaded with onions, and the mac and cheese was completely bland. Even the chicken tenders, which are usually a safe choice, had no flavor at all. The food was very unsatisfied either it's overcooked or undercooked or rotten. The last four times there My hamburger was raw. my pizza was raw and my hamburgers have been microwave with my french fries the service is terrible. You have to tell the waitress three or four times with your ordering unless you're sitting at the bar, but she cannot control the food somebody's gonna end up sick if they hadn't already. read more

The servers were fantastic and very apologetic. Our server returned our first appetizer because see was embarrassed to serve it. Two of our entrees came out 20 minutes before the third entree. Once the third entree came out, it was taken back to the kitchen because it was not dressed. It came back 15 minutes later clearly microwaved. Once we finally got to eat, my and my son's steak were cold, the burger was burnt and microwaved. The chicken Alfredo was tasteless and watery. So, today ordered a Philly cheese steak, worst sandwich I have ever tasted, after a few bites of the most grisly meat I started to smell something that reminded of a dog. The person who was dining with me ordered a roast beef poboy with brown gravy. The minute she attempted to eat it, she said, "This smells like dog s@#%!" I went there at 11:30 today and there was hardly anyone in there. I went ahead and ordered a shrimp basket and some fried pickles. I only live a quarter mile away and when I got home the shrimp breading was falling off, there were no hush puppies, the coleslaw had zero flavor, and the french fries were blah. The pickles were ok. Ordered beef tips over rice, salad and peach cobbler to go. The beef tips were the worst I have ever had, full of gristle, could not eat. The salad was nice and the peach cobbler was wonderful. Waitress was SO slow. Came in hungry, and left unsatisfied. The food was outright LOUSY. The restaurant was empty when I arrived, yet it still took my table nearly an HOUR to recieve our food. Ok. This is a weird review. I haven't actually eaten here yet. Just moved to Brandon and a friend recommended this place. Said it was "pretty good" and more reasonable than several other steak houses in the area. 1. Steaks are expensive now regardless of where you eat and 2. This place has a lot of bad reviews. Most people want to praise a good restaurant and when you see numerous bad reviews there is usually a reason for them. Anyway, I'm going to give this place a try. Had a long 12 hour day of work, so I wasn't in the mood to cook. We decide to stay close and go to Willy B's Steakhouse. They gave us complimentary champagne for New Year's. We started off with the royal red entree as our appetizer, sub the corn and potatoe for mac n cheese. It's simply steamed and came with a side of butter. I like my shrimp made simple like this, so it was perfect for me. They had a 12oz prime rib special, I'm a beef girl, so I went for it. I for sauteed zucchini and squash, and asparagus as a side. My prime rib came out perfectly medium rare, very well seasoned, no additional sauce needed. It was tender, you could cut it with a spoon! I thought my veggies were just going to be lightly sauteed, but it was a hair too buttery for me, but taste is all preference. We also ordered the patty melt on Texas toast. He enjoyed it, but wished he ordered a different cheese, because swiss wasn't a strong enough cheese for such a big piece of meat. I really did not want to do this but I did try to reach out to the owner for the first problem and have not received a response. I ordered through the website. I realize there is a mark up to use it but I was ok with it because I didn't want to have to wait for the order. However I get there and I waited for 32 minutes for the food. Their iPad broke? I was offered a soft drink while I waited. But goodness. Well we went in to eat last night. I realize it was Friday. They really should not have the bartender waiting tables too. Our food took 45 minutes to come out and the steak was ice cold, fries not done and fried pickles were so salty we could not eat them. When our food came we asked about our appetizer and the lady goes I will have to check on it. She did put it in but there was a screw up in the kitchen. At that point we didn't even want it. She brought it anyway. There was no offer to even take anything off at it check for the problems. She never refilled our drinks(luckily ms Felicia did). There were several teens just walking around. Still trying to figure out why they were not running food. I don't mind waiting for good food but cold food means someone let it sit somewhere. read more

The place just opened and I am hoping it gets better! Went in for lunch and waited over an hour to get our food. I should have just gone with a plate lunch, maybe? I ordered a patty melt with Mac and cheese. You know, a hamburger patty in between two pieces of sandwich bread with Swiss cheese and grilled onions. I got a hamburger? We both got fries, even though I ordered Mac. -but they weren't the same - one plate of fries were hand cut and the other ones were breaded, maybe? You can see the difference in the two in the picture. My guess is that possibly different vendors dropped off samples and so they were trying the different ones. I just feel like they don't have it together yet. I was really excited about this place and hope it improves! I will give it another chance before I make my final judgement. It's a nice place, nice people, fair prices, good service. I'm a burger guy. It's was slightly above average. The onion rings were homemade and pretty good. My wife had a salad and stuffed mushrooms. Neither of us liked the mushrooms. The salad was a normal (average) salad. Overall it was okay but I don't plan to go again. read more

I ordered the Cheesesteak, it was salty. I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, they were salty. If they could get the seasoning under control, this would be a pretty good choice for lunch or dinner. They have a good variety of menu options and service is average for take-out. We have actually had to go back and get items that were left off the order or incorrect after making it back to our workplace. I absolutely NEVER do this but I feel i need to share my experience. I have been going there for at least 3 years now in person and also ordering MANY takeouts. I have sent many people there as well. Tonight I placed an order online for 3 orders of crab claws. Totaling 54.00. I have a picture of the order confirmation I received. When I got home with my order it was crawfish tails. I called the restaurant and after given the run around I texted the girl my order picture. She sent me their order on their end that showed crawfish tails and said because that's what came through they WOULD NOT correct my order. I work with the public and I know how difficult it can be. I also know that if you don't know there's an issue, you can't address it. We have eaten at your restaurant many times and the food and service has always been great. Tonight 2/17/23 was the exception. There were several missed opportunities. Tonight the service was terrible. I can't say how my steak was because I never got the chance to eat it. I ordered my filet medium rare and it came out blue rare. Our server didn't deliver our food and never came back to check on us until she came to ring us up. We never got drink refills and she never even came by or acknowledged us until she was ready to close us out. My husband ordered dessert and she left, never asking why I had sat my steak on a small plate to the side. She never even asked if I'd like a to go box. My husband ordered his ribeye medium well and it came out medium, he ate it. My daughter ordered her filet medium and it came out medium rare and she ate hers. I cannot eat a blue rare steak. The under cooking, is not the servers fault, but not checking on us, addressing the obvious steak that wasn't touched, or offering a to go box for an entire filet, is inexcusable. Redfish blackened is a winner, have had their Filer and Ribeye and they are good steaks. The little bit of Aujue that goes with it is nice, but not necessary. Cowboy ribeye it is absolutely humongous!!! Sides( mac n cheese and loaded bake potato) were a bit small but overall there rib-eye has to be the best I've had in Jackson this is a place I never been to before and it was great!!
