Meh, I've had better breakfasts. Meh, Willy's was just OK in some aspects. Like I've said before it's hard to mess up breakfast. The best thing about Willy's Kitchen is their claim of supporting local farmers by using fresh local ingredients, including nitrate free bacon (a big plus). Service was very slow, especially considering the tiny size of the place. My meal was served incomplete and when I pointed it out to the waitress she gave an unpleasant look like she was upset or did not believe I had ordered anything else. She later returned with the remainder of the order and said the cook said he placed the items on the wrong plate. I also practically had to beg for a refill of coffee. Needless to say, I won't be going out of my way to revisit Willy's Kitchen. read more

We were fortunate to end up here after looking for a place to have lunch after our first choice fell through. We found Willy's on Yelp and we are so happy we did. Amazingly delicious, high quality food. We had a bowl of Maryland Crab Soup which tasted homemade. It had large lumps of crabmeat and was perfectly seasoned. Another outstanding item was the Chesapeake Patty Melt. So delicious and filling. The cheeseburger and patty melts were outstanding as well. The Lemon Meringue pie was perfect. The service was excellent - our waitress Tara took very good care of us. We had a great conversation with Shirley as well. As a bonus, the O's game was on the TV and Jackson Holliday hit a grand slam against the Blue Jays! It doesn't get much better than that! I have often dreamed of a place that was so good, that I get to the point where the waitress just walks up to me and goes "Hey Joe. The usual?". Not that it happened for me here, but I definitely saw this happen here. I mean that is something that happens in the movies. I had no clue it was happening right in Glen Burnie. Today I got my first taste of Willy's Kitchen, and I have to say that I was impressed. I can always appreciate a place that takes the extra steps do the whole farm to table approach, and also take pride in serving quality food, that is supplied by local vendors. I actually went expecting to eat breakfast, but by the time we had got there we had just missed it. Instead of leaving we decided to stay, even though we had our heart set on breakfast. We were greeted upon entering the establishment, and our drink order was taken shortly after we sat. Our server was very nice, and there just a good vibe in this place as soon as we stepped in. The food was good, and unlike some places they actually did my burger medium rare. a lot of places will not go below medium well. I definitely enjoyed my visit to Willy's Kitchen, and I plan on updating my review after I finally get some breakfast here, because the Yelp photos, and the menu there make it look awesome. A wonderful little mom & pop style restaurant for all the family. The servers are great and so polite and the food is superb. Granted I've only tried the breakfast countless times, I did however try the "Chessie Bird" from the lunch menu. It's a fantastic grilled chicken sandwich with a slab of cheese and home made crab dip! The only reason I give this place a 4 star review is because of the wait times that occur here quite frequently. Today for instance is Sunday and it was literally an hour an a half wait. Went here today, got chicken and waffles and crab dip, the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The other patrons are nice and friendly, we sat outdoor before I had to leave. There is a small wait for the food but the food is fresh and when I got home, I devoured mine lol. Overall I will be coming back to try their breakfast. I'm glad I finally decided to stop by and give it a try. Tip: it's pretty small inside so try to go early or the outdoor area is nice as well. read more

Wow wow wow. We didn't feel like cooking on a rainy Sunday morning. We typically will go to iHop but the wait was over 20 minutes and so instead we did some research and came across Willy's Kitchen. This place is small and super local, but look at the food!! I got the chicken and waffles and my partner got the crab cake eggs benedict. The waffle was nice and fluffy. The chicken was perfectly fried. The gravy on top was maple flavored which gave it a nice sweet flavor. However, I don't like maple syrup so I asked for a side of honey. 9/10 I would get this again. The crab cakes were delicious, perfectly seared and seasoned. The home fries were PERFECT... go for this as a side to any entree. There's a lot of food on this plate, so definitely come hungry. Some of the best buttermilk-batter fried chicken breast I have ever had, the seasoning in the batter was on point. Perfectly crispy and not greasy! The breast meat was moist on the inside. The portions were double what I could eat, so I had to bring some back to the hotel. I ordered the side of corn cakes, and Brussels sprouts. Both were ok and well-executed but the star of the meal was the chicken. This is a tiny cute local place, the waitstaff seem to know all the locals by name and their favorite orders. I have been fighting for 3 years...long, hard years. Whoever owns this kitchen, owns the lake. The lake has the gold which was buried in 1723 by Blackbeard himself. The original owner was Edward Teach. He was killed by the English privateers who then controlled the kitchen for 90 years. Fast forward to 1983 when William L. Dorsett killed his aunt and became the owner. I have heard that Blackbeard's gold still lays waiting for any bold enough to challenge the owner of the kitchen. Standard solid breakfast spot not far from BWI airport. Had a mountain of food for not too much money - the grits and eggs were on point. Corned beef hash could have been crispier but I didn't ask for it - I bet they'd have browned it up for me. The service was efficient and friendly. The ladies restroom had a seriously strong chemical air freshener smell that definitely stuck in my nose - I'd rather have left thinking about bacon or pancakes but that scent was what lingered as we left... Awesome local food. I love to eat here. The food is always spot on and plentiful. The wait and cook staff are great. I wish the seating area were bigger the waits are too long and I often have to find someplace else to go. I would also eat here more often if the lunch/dinner menu were bigger or the specials were different. While everything is very good there is little selection to go more frequently. Please add to your menu or add some seasonal selections. The specials rotation is predictable. I want to eat here more but I am bored with the lunch/dinner part of the menu. read more

I've had my eye on this place for awhile and after reading so many rave yelp reviews decided to check it out. As usual didn't disappoint I never realized how many times I actually passed this place. If your not looking for it or know of this place you could literally pass it by as I've did so many times. As you walk in there's a sign that says "Yelper's love us" which means to me they take pride in the customer's opinion of their establishment. Inside has a small cozy diner setup with counter/chair seating, some tv's and cartoon caricature's of the staff. The staff are warm and inviting with alot of personality and playfulness. I sat at the counter as I was getting the waitress gives me a menu and proceeds to pull out utensils. I tell her I'm getting it to go and she playfully has back and forth banter with me why I should stay until finally she gives up and says "I'll let you go this time" I kinda felt bad because of the warm friendliness the vibes give off. I order the bbq bacon meatloaf on sourdough sandwich with fries. I got home and opened the container which is in a plastic container that holds the heat in which is good since who wants to eat cold meatloaf and fries? The bottom had a napkin covering it so all the juices would be soaked into it and not the sandwich (very smart) This sandwich wasn't instant itis but a full hibernation. The sourdough was toasted golden brown with a hint of butter along with the crunch of the bacon sounded like I was eating pork rinds. The taste was pure you can tell farm fresh ingredients went into this meal and the taste reflected it. I had a tastebud overload over and over again. The bbq sauce was just right and the meatloaf was juicy infused with little pieces of onion in every bite. The fries were nice and firm not overly crunchy or under just riiiiiiight. I'm going back! With a name like Willy's you either gonna get good food or moonshine. The cozy atmosphere, good service, personable staff and GREAT food gives my rating A++. Willy work on that moonshine idea. This restaurant always pops up when I look for breakfast food in my neighborhood but I have never visited. On one snow day, however, I decided to give it a try and it was worth the wait! The restaurant is so quaint - it gives you an at-home feel. The service is wonderful - every employee was kind. It clearly was a popular spot for regulars - everyone greeted each other by name and was so friendly! It felt more like a family! Our waitress, Amanda C., was great as she multi-tasked behind the counter as well as took care of us. We asked for recommendations and she suggested the Crab Explosion and it was amazing! I haven't had crabmeat in the morning for breakfast and now I feel like I can never go one without it! It was flavorful and really hit the spot. My boyfriend ordered the sweet potato pancakes and they were also so sweet and savory that he didn't have to add syrup! Another customer suggested the chicken and waffles. It was also recommended that if we decide to visit on Sundays to get there early - the line goes out the door. Probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! I order the turkey bacon (BLT) with egg on grain bread with home fries. The bread was toasted perfectly the sandwich was big and super tasty. I would definitely order it again. The place is very small inside so be prepared to wait during busy times but the staff are attentive to make sure the flow of people are seated in order. I went to this place this past Saturday with a friend who had already discovered it. I love small and/or genuine diners. Great breakfast food and the classic white ceramic coffee mugs. I the farmer's omelette and it was awesome. The inside only has about 8 tables and 12 seats at the counter so we did have to wait just a little bit, but it was worth it. My sis-in-law tried taking me here a few times but it was always on a Monday when they're closed. Finally made it here myself on a Sunday afternoon and it was well worth the trip! My third time at Willy's. I'm not from MD, and first time was looking for a decent brunch close to our hotel. We liked it so much, that in 2021, I searched out my Google maps and found it again. This past weekend I happened to be on the west side of DC, having to drive up 95 through Baltimore. I mentioned it to my friend that I was with, who sounded interested.
