I have a very special grandfather clock that my father made in 1978, and it recently stopped working. I called Gary, and he came to my house to fix it. He really knows his stuff - he quickly got it fixed and then took the time to give it a general maintenance to make sure it continues to work smoothly. Next time, I won't wait until it stops. A quality clock like that should be maintained on a regular basis - roughly every 3 years. When I arrived home, the clock no longer ran when plugged in. I called the store and was told I could receive a $35 credit on the $350 next cost of fixing the clock. The clock has sentimental value to me, however the original cost of the clock was less than $10 long ago. I recommend asking the repair price before the repair work is done. I paid the $35 and would have been satisfied if the clock continued to work, but I would not have agreed to the initial $35 repair cost if known before the 2 minute repair and I won't be returning For the next $350 repair.
