Excellent lunch with great family and friends. There were many things ordered but I would pick the fish fry again, it was that good. Chicken tenders, salads, burgers all looked delish! The servers from the hostess to waitress to buss people friendly, helpful and inviting.

Clam "chowder".... A nine dollar bowl of chowder that was more like cream soup with few pieces of potato and clams, totally not worth !!!

Our waitress totally lacked in personality and in her serving skills. I ordered clam chowder and for a place that is known for their seafood, what a huge disappointment. It was very expensive and it was more like a soup not a chowder, it had no flavor.... so bland tasting. It tasted mostly of heavy cream, it was thin with a few small pieces of clams or potatoes. I waited 30 minutes for a bowl of "chowder" and it was lukewarm. I ordered the fish fry, which was wonderful. My husband ordered seafood pesto pasta, and it was disgusting. My husband said the shrimp in his dish tasted fishy not fresh. The pesto sauce in his dish was very un appetizing. The ambience was lovely, we sat outside by the water and it was very relaxing. Other than beautiful scenery it was totally not worth it!!!!!

Went here on a warm Saturday June afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. We made reservations to sit on the patio, arrived a few minutes early and they sat us immediately right by the boat docks. This was our first time here and we had high hopes because we love trying new places, especially by the water. Our waitress was Madison, and she was 100% on her game, and made the entire visit fantastic! I'm always big on service and I couldn't have asked for anything better from her. She was very nice and welcoming and patient with our decision-making and questions. Their 2021 menu is huge and we all ordered something different and everything was top-notch. We had a fish fry, burger, lobster roll, and customized avocado turkey burger. From the refreshing drinks to the great tasting food, we were all very impressed. We will definitely be visiting this place again and bring friends to also experience this summer time hot spot. They also have live music Friday & Saturday nights. Note: Due to Covid, they currently are open only Friday - Sunday.

Loved it. Great atmosphere, friendly service, tasty food. If you don't have a reservation for the "lower part of the deck" you will have to sit on the upper part. But you can still see the water and boats. A smidge pricey but consider the location and view. Not unreasonable. I'll be back :)

I've dined here on three different occasions. Did not enjoy my food the first two times, but I guess the third time is a charm! Wilson Boathouse totally redeemed themselves this visit with the service and food! We were immediately sat on the patio Saturday afternoon- it was v relaxing. (They do need to clean up the spider webs tho!). The coconut shrimp was really delicious and the turkey burgers and sweet potato waffle fries were amazing as well. We left fulfilled, happy and with a completely different impression than we had before we arrived! Happy to go back soon!

We enjoyed lunch here on a Saturday. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was wonderful. This is such a beautiful place with an excellent view of the water. The decor is so quaint and the food was absolutely delicious. The kids menu comes with a choice of several sides, which is great if your kids like having choices. Our kids both got the grilled cheese, one got fries and the other got a side salad. They enjoyed their meals so much. My husband got the fried captain's platter and the portions were large and were so good. I ordered the Pork and Peaches, a pork chop with bourbon glazed peaches and butternut squash purée. I had it with a side salad and everything I had was amazing! It was definitely added to my list of places to come back to when we visit the area again.

We were camping at 4mile creek and decided to go to dinner on Saturday night making reservations at 4:30. We arrived on time, they seated us and gave us menus and water. 25 minutes later my friend went up to the hostess to ask for our server. It must've been the manager she followed my friend to our table and apologized many times and gave us a round of drinks. Soon after out waitress showed up. The crab cakes were pretty good. Family style salad. I had the cajun broiled haddock. Not very Cajun. It was a nice place. Would I rush back.. no. We did go on the complimentary boat ride down the harbor. That was nice and the driver was filled with tons of information.

The location was beautiful and the place had a great vibe. We planned to order food and that's where this visit went wrong. We ordered crab cakes - clams casino and the black and blue salad. We were so excited to be there - it was an anniversary lunch. The service was solid - I think the table cleaner may have started to eat the plastic table cloth - because it was sticky. Our food came - the crab cakes were fishy tasting and had no sear - they were almost like a pate. The clams casino was like a shell filled with mash potatoes. The steak salad which should have been a home run - tasted like dirty grill and it was like it was cooked twice - couldn't even pull it apart. The greens were good but that's about all good I could find in the food. There wasn't a manger working to speak with and the server did her best. I wish I could say better things.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Ontario in Vineland, this storied establishment, housed in a structure dating to 1867, has become one of those places that quietly lodges itself in the memory and refuses to leave. We made the drive -- well over an hour -- for a Sunday brunch, and not for the first time. It is the kind of restaurant one finds oneself recommending without hesitation, not as a curiosity or a seasonal indulgence, but as a benchmark. The setting alone would justify the journey: a sweeping, unobstructed view of the lake from the sunroom and patio that shifts in character with the light, the season, and the mood of the sky above. On a clear day, the Toronto skyline is visible on the horizon -- an almost implausible grace note. But Lake House does not rest on its scenery. The kitchen demonstrates genuine culinary ambition with a menu that draws from Mediterranean traditions while remaining grounded in local and seasonal sensibility. The salmon crab cakes -- a pairing that sounds indulgent and delivers accordingly -- arrive with a pineapple and mango chutney and sriracha aioli that balance richness with levity. The Great Canadian Burger is a study in considered indulgence: brioche, peameal bacon, sweet bacon jam, and spiced maple aioli achieving a harmony of sweetness, heat, and savoriness that lingers well past the last bite. The service matched the occasion throughout. From the welcome at the door to our server Rhonda -- attentive, warm, and precisely calibrated in her pacing -- to the supervisor who moved quietly through the room ensuring that every table was well attended, the floor operates with the kind of seamless, unhurried care that is too often mistaken for effortlessness. It is not effortless. It is practiced and deliberate, and all the more impressive for it. Lake House Restaurant is a destination that justifies the drive, rewards the return, and -- in a dining landscape where so few establishments manage all three -- that is no small thing.

It would've been nice if at least one packed a bit of heat, but they're all tame, adding flavour without overpowering the squid. Thankfully, the semolina crust was excellent - crunchy, light, and not oily at all. The portion is generous and easily shareable between two or three people. A newer addition to the menu is the short rib sandwich ($34), and it's a good one. Large chunks of tender, flavourful beef are topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy onions, arugula, and brie. The cheese adds a creamy richness that makes the sandwich stand out. The menu notes a horseradish aioli, but any zing from it gets buried under the slightly sweet braising sauce, which was too sugary for my taste. I would've preferred it kept more savoury. The sandwich is already quite saucy, and yet more sauce arrives on the side. Good for fries if you choose to switch the salad to spuds. After hearing plenty about the Great Canadian Burger ($29), I couldn't resist splitting one, though I ultimately wish I hadn't. The short rib sandwich is better. The burger is hefty, with a thick beef patty that's overly dense and heavily mixed, giving it more of a frozen-patty texture than the crumbly tenderness of a good homemade one. The potato bun also struggled to hold up against the avalanche of toppings: grilled peameal bacon, cheddar, onion, tomato, arugula, pickle, and two sauces. I'm not sure why the kitchen insists on sweetening everything - the burger comes with caramelized onion bacon jam and a maple chipotle aioli, both quite sugary. If you enjoy sweeter savoury dishes, you'll probably like it. Otherwise, I'd skip the handhelds. On our weekday lunch visit, the restaurant was well staffed and attentive. Even though we never felt rushed, we were in and out within about an hour. If anything, the service bordered on overly attentive... during that hour we were interrupted six times by four different people checking if everything was okay. My suggestion: let the primary server handle most of the check-ins, and only have others step in if things get busy.
