Beef on Weck

Very good food. The service was really friendly. The atmosphere is something else. Think NASCAR and Airplanes on steroids.

Been here a few times now and I'm diggin it. Good diner food, good service, good prices. My husband loved the decor in the bar. It stopped him in his tracks as we were leaving. I'll definitely come eat again but I'd also like to come back to have a drink in the bar and stare at the walls for a while.

Located in Niagara falls NY this restaurant is a hidden jem I Went here with my mom and aunt she recommended they have really good food believe me you won't leave here hungry and they are reasonably priced the portion sizes are LARGE it's decor is aviation/sports themed the bathrooms are clean the staff is friendly and accommodating I got the buffalo flight it was 8 wings and a beef on weck celery, and carrots with blue cheese all for $30 and like I said, the portion sizes are large I don't recall being at any restaurant where the beef on weck sandwich was so large and loaded with roast beef the sandwich was really good definitely meets the buffalo standard, as well as the wings I got the kamikaze, which is their hottest flavor of sauce I will be definitely returning when I'm in the area again I 100% recommend

From the outside this place looks small, but once you enter the dining room, you realize this place has a good amount of seating. There's a cool bar on the left side of it too. Decor is old school but comfy. Our server was very quick and very friendly. She gave us a basket of 4 slices of fresh rye bread, it was very good with the butter. The menu has lots of items, including breakfast. She suggested they beef on weck or the fish fry. We went with the latter. It came out within 15 minutes. The breading on the fish was very dry and soggy. I rather have a crunchy breading, like a beer batter, but they don't offer that. The fish was thin but a long piece, it tasted okay. The fries, macaroni salad, coleslaw, and tartar sauce that came with it were made perfectly, and tasted excellent. All the staff here were very friendly, the way every restaurant should be.

The Navigator sandwich. Roast beef and mozzarella cheese on rye.

We've been going here for years. The atmosphere is relaxing, and they always play country music. The waitresses are super friendly. Lately however, for the price, the food could use much improvement. Seems like whenever I get something grilled or toasted, it is on the dark side.

Stopped in here with my mom after doing some shopping in the falls. This is a favorite spot of my moms so I've been here a few times with her. It's a fairly large place and has a small town diner vibe about it. Nothing on the menu really calls to me so I thought id give the wings a shot. I will say the fries are pretty darn good. The lemonade is true lemonade which I wasnt expecting. It's pretty tart. The wings were lackluster. They were OK but I probably wouldn't order again. The drums seems to not cook great and we're pretty dry. But the flats turned out much better. A single order is 8 wings which is less than most places. That didn't bother me as I usually don't finish a full order on my own anyhow. My mom got chicken fingers with no complaints. I suspect the breakfast is much better as a lot of people were ordering that mid day. I may try that menu next visit.

Good selection of food. Soups are always great. Service is friendly and efficient. Inside needs updating, a little musty at times.

Service from the bartender was great. He offered up some suggestions, which I needed because they have a large menu loaded with so many appetizing and amazing looking options. I started with their potstickers... They came out with a hard, fried shell and the dipping sauce went nicely with them. Enough to share, or even enough to enjoy and still have room for an entrée. My main dish was their Chicken & Waffle. This isn't some ordinary chicken and waffle, it's definitely an amped up version, made with unique and interesting ingredients, culminating in great flavors! The chicken was so large and very tender - it was amazing! The bacon and sauce on top went with it nicely, and the chive waffle was great with it! Each bite was definitely amazing! This was a great experience, I can see why they have so many reviews and such high stars, those are well-deserved stars!! Definitely recommend stopping in here!

Almost all of the tables have a falls view. The food was awesome. We ordered the fixed 3 course meal and so glad we did. We started with brussel sprouts and super salad. We were in heaven. 2nd course was the pasta, short ribs and upgraded to pork chops. We were all happy with our choices. The only critic would be my broccolini. It looked overcooked. Desserts were to die for. Went for the cheesecake and the strawberry rhubarb. Can't go wrong with any of the dessert choices. I highly recommend this place. Everyone we interacted with was amazing, friendly, polite, and genuinely attentive. The service made us feel welcome from start to finish and was a big part of what made the evening so enjoyable. The view overlooking Niagara Falls is absolutely spectacular and alone makes this restaurant worth visiting. It's hard to beat enjoying a meal with scenery like that. The bread basket was one of the biggest surprises of the night. It was incredibly fresh, warm, and delicious, and easily one of the best parts of the meal. My wife ordered the beef short rib, and it was absolutely outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, it was easily the best entrée we had. Even my daughter's chicken fingers were excellent. The Maple Pecan Cheesecake was another standout. It was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It was honestly one of the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time and the perfect way to end the evening. The only disappointment was my strip steak. For the price, I expected much better. It was tougher than it should have been and lacked the seasoning needed to really bring out the flavor. The mashed potatoes also missed the mark. They were wonderfully fluffy, but unfortunately very dry and in need of more butter, seasoning, or something to give them more flavor. Despite those shortcomings, the breathtaking view, exceptional service, outstanding beef short rib, delicious chicken fingers, amazing bread basket, and unforgettable Maple Pecan Cheesecake made the experience worthwhile. If I ever return, it'll be for the view and the bread, or the view and that incredible Maple Pecan Cheesecake. The staff would certainly be another reason we'd be happy to come back.

Our server was super friendly and knowledgeable. The meal always starts with fresh baked bread service that is accompanied by butter, house pickles and either a hummus or garlic confit (in my experience). My mom is gluten free so she was bought her own dish with focaccia and a roll. She was over the moon about that and really enjoyed the focaccia. We all enjoyed every bit of our meal which included our choice if an appetizer, main dish and dessert from a prix fixe menu for $40. Some of our choices included charcuterie, arugula salad, tamarind shrimp curry, salmon and lemon meringue cheesecake. We left with our culinary needs satisfied and our stomachs full... we even had some leftovers. I can't wait to go back again. It's best to make reservations as they usually get fully booked. As soon as we walked in, we notice the ambiance of the entire building is clean and well maintained. The restaurant has an open kitchen concept so you can see much of what is going on "behind the scenes". Upon entering the restaurant, we were appropriately greeted by staff who were very personable, respectful, and informative. The same attentive and personable service was given by the entire staff. We were able to ask questions about how the restaurant operates, being that it is operated by the Culinary Institute and its students and alumni. I'll spare you the details but it is an interesting dynamic. The food was excellent. We went for dinner and while there is a limited menu, the options were varied enough that anyone would be able to find something they will enjoy. This might be the most affordable three course meal I've had this decade. The food was prepared perfectly, the presentation was impeccable, and the service provided leaves nothing to be desired. The entire operation is run calmly and very efficiently. I am happy to have had the opportunity to dine at Savor and it is going on my short list of highly recommended upscale restaurants for anyone looking for a nice dinner at an affordable price. So if you're looking for a night out and don't want to break the bank, go support the students and alums from SUNY Niagara. I doubt you'll regret it at all. Truthfully, I don't know if the wings are better at the Buffalo locations or not. But I know this much. These were legit better than Anchor. They were crispy without being overdone.
