This Place is a gem. A totally welcoming, unpretentious environment and staff. A stable staff. Coffee is very important to me. Wilson's has excellent coffees with a rotating offering of brewed coffees, but my typical go-to is a Capuchino, you can really taste the expresso through the wonderful froth. That's my usual choice because I can brew excellent coffee at home but I am not equipped to make Capuchino. They never disappoint. A cut above the big chain guys. Very Good bakery, the Morning Glory muffins are highly recommended. A vast array of tea offerings. I generally don't drink tea but i see quite a few customers drinking tea in house. And, I have to mention the coffee beans roasted in house. I buy whole beans and Wilson's offerings are broad and change over time. The flavor quality is top notch. Oh, and fair prices on all. Average sized coffee shop located in downtown Racine. The good: fresh roasted coffee is always better than stuff that has been sitting around. Pricing is fair as well. They have some chocolates and pastries available as well. The eh: I didn't hear our drinks being called and when I went to up confirm it was my beverage they said they didn't know, they didn't make it, and walked away. Extremely welcoming, pleasant and delicious! Their espresso and iced tea are excellent. Their baked goods are great and taste homemade. The employees are wonderfully friendly. The atmosphere is so homey and spacious, you feel no need to rush out. (There is a used bookstore a couple stores down. Grab a book and read for a while.) I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is one of those local coffee shops that stands out because they know how to brew and bake! I have been to Racine twice, and Wilson's Coffee & Tea seems like it will be part of any visit to the town. read more

Call me biased since I live about 1/4 mile from Wilson's but I don't mind. This shop is what I would consider one of the great Racine institutions. The furniture may not be all matching, and it may not have an aesthetic designed by a high end design firm, but that is what contributes to this place being a wonderful place. The coffee is top notch. You can tell it's breweries by folks who know what they're doing. The roasting done also in the same manner of care. I've had coffee pretty much everywhere in the states, but I will always go back to Wilson's coffee. I am impressed by the quality and consistency of the coffee that they produce. Oh Wilson's. You know how to do coffee! I love grabbing a coffee before heading next door to the Gold Bear. I'd like to sit and sip more but the atmosphere is really lacking. The space is large enough to really put in some comfy seating in addition to the tables and chairs. Decorate a bit and see what happens. The quality of the beans and the roasting is top notch! I have been living near Wilson's for most of my life, and they never let down! The interior is simple, warm and welcoming with old-style wood floors and plenty of seating area. If I lived here, this might be the only coffee shop I'd visit on the regular. I was drawn in by the 5 star average, its proximity to North Beach Park and the hours: open on a Sunday. Excellent find! I'd compare the quality of coffee to that of Hansa in Libertyville, and Wilson's chai is bar none, the best chai we (me and the hubs) have EVER had. They have their own blend, and bonus-- they sell it in jugs to take and make at home. We enjoyed our hot bevvies with a yummy orange chocolate chip scone, which they make there with an array of other desserts and pastries like cookies, muffins, cake and the like. There weren't many pics on Yelp so it looked smaller to me than it is. It's actually quite large and roomy, filled with tables and chairs throughout, as well as patio tables outside. You won't find plush couches or chairs but we were quite comfortable. And it's clean, I'd say immaculate. I don't want to go home to our smelly, hairy dogs, as a result. ;) It was quiet when we arrived, having just opened at 10:30, but within minutes, it was bustling and vibrant. Thankfully, there are communal tables, so if you don't mind making new friends, pull up a chair. When the weather is nice, they offer outdoor seating as well. Though there is always a place to sit, be conscious of the noise level. Wilson's has a friendly atmosphere, but it might not be your best bet for getting work done. If you are looking for a pastry, you can't go wrong with the Apricot Scone. Ooooo man that's some strong coffee. Hot me some at ten in the morning after having to get up at five and survive a meeting without it. But whut whut! This coffee was worth waiting for! Love the little 8 oz cup cos that's what I got and it gave me a buzz to last a while as well. Just with the single scoop of espresso. They have some funky coffee options, would love to come back and try the black forest coffee and the garden harvest coffee. The place is super cute with lots of space, outdoor seating and pastel green color on the walls. Cute big teapots too and they have a long list of cool and exploratory teas. I need to come back and check them out. I visited Wilson's on a Saturday morning. The staff was warm and friendly. The place was filled with people enjoying their favorite drinks. Seating was available inside as well as outside. There are two inside seating areas, one by the windows looking out on the street and a second further inside the shop. There is an interesting variety of merchandise as well as a wide selection of coffee beans available for sale. Fresh coffee beans are roasted on site. The women's bathroom was bright and clean. Imported chocolates, sandwiches and pastry are also available.I had an enjoyable visit and would recommend this shop to others looking for a delicious cup of coffee or tea or somewhere to meet a friend and just hang out for awhile! read more

This was a coffee shop before coffee shops were 'a thing'! A true original! I'm not a coffee drinker, but they do roast their own! And, my understanding is that they are pretty good at it! (One of the owners travels often to teach/share his knowledge) They also make their own chai, and it's the best around! We don't live real close, so we buy the concentrate to enjoy at home, between visits. The other fav is their Morning Glory Muffins! They do run out, so get one while you can! Ugh, I haven't had coffee this good in a while. A friend and I were passing through Racine, and we wanted coffee. A quick search on Yelp! finds this place, with a flawless 5-star average. This place is definitely a local's sort of place. It's comfortable and friendly and warm, and there's a roasting machine in plain view. There's quite a variety of beans you can buy in bags, plus plenty of Bodum products (french presses, pour overs, etc.) for the coffee enthusiasts. I got what I like to call a "fortified" Americano (3 shots of espresso). My friend ordered a cup of Dutch Windmill Cookie (or something like that), which wasn't on their menu. The barista gladly found some beans, ground them, and put them in a french press and gave my buddy a timer set to three minutes. It's quite an experience getting to press and pour a special blend that they didn't have on the menu. The baristas were friendly and my caffe Americano was stellar. Definitely a place to revisit and a strong recommendation to anyone who enjoys coffee in a casual setting. An even stronger recommendation to any coffee aficionados/enthusiasts. read more
