I highly recommend Wilson's to anyone looking for a truely custom jewelry experience. My fiancé and I were able schedule an appointment to design my engagement ring fully from start to finish. Before our visit, we had a few setting ideas, Diamond shapes, and a budget in mind. By the time we came in, he had already several settings and diamonds already picked out for us to choose from. We were able to chose the ring and setting metal, embellishments on the side, and the setting that held the diamond. He walked use through the diamond picking process, and we looked at our chosen diamond under the microscope as well. Funny story..... A good friend of our recommended a place to search for a reasonably priced diamond engagement ring in Los Angeles. We went there (not Wilson's) and the experience was horrible. They were very pushy and annoyed at my unwillingness to just BUY the ring they were recommending. I had this vision of what I wanted my engagement ring to look like and no one could show me an example of what I was seeing in my head. We left and went to a few other places, same experience. I thought... maybe what I am envisioning is not possible?? Maybe I am wanting too much? After a few hours, my husband and I were so discouraged. We sat there and prayed. We decided to go grab some food and go home in defeat. All of a sudden we saw this tall building and my Husband and I looked at each other. I said "I feel like we should check out this building." My husband says "I feel the same thing." Call it intuition?.... I don't know.. Lol We walked in and there were 10 floors all filled with random stores. I don't think there are enough words to describe how wonderful it was to work with Wilson in finding an engagement ring as he saved me a few times. Wilson was highly recommended by a highly trusted friend and even then he exceeded all expectations. I was looking for an emerald cut diamond and prior to meeting Wilson, I researched everything online ahead of time. At my first meeting with Wilson, he showed me 5 diamonds and explained additional characteristics to consider when looking at an emerald. They were beautiful stones but I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to purchase my first choice stone. This is where Wilson shines, there was zero pressure from him to buy a stone. Instead, he said to sleep on it as it's a big purchase. I slept on it for 3 weeks before reaching out to him again. The stone I wanted was sold but Wilson said to give him some time to find other ones. Like clockwork, he showed me another set of stones and that's where I saw not one but three stones that would be perfect. I asked for his opinion and he gave me his honest unbiased answer. At the end, I chose to spend a little more and picked the biggest carat stone; I do not regret it as my fiancé LOVES the ring. I was planning to propose in 3 days in Hawaii and Wilson was able to expedite setting the diamond into a perfect yellow gold solitaire setting right before the trip.
