    The front of the restaurant.

Great experience at this establishment. The decor is nothing special, but I didn't care, it had that nice vibe that only small town restaurants can capture. I sat down and the server came and took my drink order right away. She promptly returned when she saw my menu was closed and I ordered the Ribeye Steak that came with 3 eggs, toast and hash browns. After a quick coffee refill when I had about 1/4 left in my cup (great service), my meal came out and boy was it tasty. So much food, the eggs the way I like, and done medium rare as requested. The price was definitely more than fair, my bill without tip was a little under $14. I even chatted with the owner for a bit, very friendly. Ultimately, I don't get to too many of these small town restaurants, so I'm glad I was able to dine at this one. FYI They do take Visa, MasterCard, & Discover so that was a plus as I had no cash on me.

When in new places we try to find anything other than a chain restaurant. This was practically the only place that came up near Moscow, IA, where we were holed up getting work done on our bus. The old Cove Restaurant there had closed down. Overcooked burger and decor that was basically a white box barely met our already low expectations. Service was fast and friendly, however. Cash only.

Good food and service. We go there often. Especially, like Wednesday with their bean soup.

We stopped in on Saturday for breakfast. The place was busy, the food was hot, great service. I'll be going back!

This place needs a huge lesson in customer service. I'm…read morevisiting from out of town and had heard decent things about this place, so I decided to give it a try. We walked in around 11:30 a.m. There was only one other customer (a dad and his son) and the person who walked in just before us, who appeared to either be a friend or a regular, based on how all three employees greeted her. While they were extremely friendly to her, we weren't acknowledged at all--not even a simple "We'll be right with you." Instead, the employees stood there for more than five minutes talking about how business was, how they slept, what they did over the weekend, melatonin, and other personal topics. During that time, no one took our order or made any effort to help us. After waiting, I finally said, "If you guys are going to keep having a conversation, can we at least order our coffee and get that started?" They looked at me like I had said something unreasonable. One employee, who was sitting at a table near the counter coloring, muttered something under her breath, and they still didn't take our order. Instead, they continued their conversation. At that point, we left. This experience was completely unacceptable. Great customer service starts with acknowledging people when they walk through the door, especially when your shop is nearly empty. Unfortunately, this first impression ensured we won't be back, and I can't recommend this business to others.

Naturally I looked to YELP for a rec and this place came up. Sooo glad we came. We will come back. Again, and again, and again. The service is above and beyond. But my wife and I were quickly snapped back to reality... because that was the only thing that was 'quick' about our visit. Our wait to be seated during Saturday brunch hours was bearable -- 5-10 minutes for the small dining room. However once we were seated, it didn't really seem all that crowded. That's an important point because it took about 10-15 for anyone to come take our order, to offer us water, to say hello... anything. I had to grab our menus from another desk. Believe me, we were very tempted to leave. Someone who appeared to be in charge (perhaps the owner) came over in the nick of time. I ordered the muffuletta which was supposed to be served with puréed hot peppers and olive oil sauce. These were missing when the dish arrived tableside which was very disappointing. When everything was finally delivered, the sandwich tasted really good. But I can't get past the poor quality of service.
