Nobody ever said the hourly fee was for one person. Nobody ever informed me that a second person was coming. Nobody ever asked if I was okay with having a second person and being charged extra. When I explained that to the rep, the response was: our fees are our fees. Not to mention, one of the toilets that they serviced is still leaking, however, I am now scared to call them back and being charged another arm and a leg. Stay away - I know I will!

He relentlessly tried to snake it out for about 2 hours but it wasn't really doing the trick. He said I needed to have my septic company install a clean out and have him come back to jet the line, which I did. When he returned, he went in with a camera and explained there were a few dips in the pipe where waste water and sludge collected and froze during this past winter creating the blockage. In addition the pipe is not buried deep enough to keep it from freezing, yet if any deeper, waste wouldn't flow to the tank (it's a very old system). Considering the time spent, I feel they were fair with their pricing. No upselling. I also appreciate the time he took on the first visit and the 2nd to investigate and explain the issue.

My husband asked what time he could come, and he said he would be there within 14 minutes. My husband said no problem, I just want to know because we have dogs and I will lock them up. We have two Rottweilers, one is a puppy, and the other is 2 1/2. I know, rotties have a bad rap, but it should really be the owners that have a bad rap-on that note, we've spent excessive time and a lot of training with our dogs, and we recognize that dogs, regardless of the breed is not to everyone's liking. But at any time that someone comes over, we always put the dogs in their crates individually. Nothing changed with this one. The man announced he was coming, the dogs each got locked up in their crates, the gentleman by the name of Rick came in he asked my husband where the laundry room was, my husband walked him there, he checked out the laundry room, he told my husband to flush the toilets, run the water, came back out, looked at the dogs locked up in their individual crates and told my husband he'll come back when the dogs aren't here. Really? What was the problem? We've had many workers come to the house and no one has ever done that, we were in an awful terrible bind, and we needed to be snaked because we cannot run water in our house right now without a flood and sewage discharged. I will never ever call upon this person's service and to all those looking for help, if you have a dog, think twice, even if you take preemptive manners in your hands as we carefully did, this guy will abandon you and leave you in complete despair! Really a disappointment!!Again, we took the initiative and had the dogs crated and there was no need to do that-he asked to call when the dogs are not here, so we will probably give him a call in about eleven years!

This year, my wife and I were blessed with twins. This also means our expenses caring for a little own are multiplied. While facing a financial hardship, our furnace started leaking dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and we needed a replacement. We couldn't afford the cost of a new own and care for our babies equally. With temperatures on the decline, it was imperative that we replaced it as soon as possible. When Tyler Air Conditioning heard our story, they offered to help. During an extremely difficult and stressful time, they offered to donate their time to help offset the cost of a new furnace. Within a few weeks, a new boiler was installed. We now have heat at night, our babies are thriving, and we are living with less stress. The entire staff on board truly amazing people. They were all willing to help a local family in need and I will always support them. I want to especially thank Donny, Vinny, Fred, and Jennifer for going above and beyond. Two weeks ago, they came out to fix a bathroom tub leak. I was charged $1,300 to replace the cartridge, handle, and spout. The parts cost around $250, and the job should have taken less than an hour, but they stayed for about four hours because they kept getting the wrong parts. They came back last week because the tub was still leaking. This time, they said I needed to replace the shower base where the cartridge goes and quoted me $3,400. I declined and asked them to put everything back together, but the leak was actually worse afterward. What bothered me most was the lack of transparency. I asked for a breakdown of the charges and was essentially told, "That's just what we charge." After almost spending nearly $4,700, I feel I could have had the entire tub area remodeled by another company. I also recently tried to cancel my membership and learned that it's a one-year contract and that canceling early may require paying back the discounts. That was not my understanding when I signed up. I'm extremely disappointed with the pricing, communication, and lack of transparency. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and looking for a company with fair pricing and clear, honest billing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Service Stars based on my experience.
