Have a shower leaking in a bathroom. Wasting a lot of water. Took it apart but could not solve the problem. Had to cut the water off to the house. First time caller to this company. Went to voicemail. Received a reply via text. Message said that they could fix it but a week from this Wednesday. Nice to see a company with this much business. I am positive that they are a good business, but not my style. I am doing a re-model and will require all new plumbing but will not be getting a quote from this company. Wimberley Plumbing consistently impresses with their fast response times and affordable service calls. I wrote a review about their reinstalling a hose bib for me that didn't last a year, but recently I heard my grinder pump running in my septic tank. They asked me to turn the breaker off and they would be out asap to check it out. They were at my house within 48hrs (because it wasn't an emergency) and found debris keeping the float engaged. We had a plumber (not Wimberley Plumbing) show up this morning for installation of a new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal hookup after having new countertops installed. We were shocked to hear their price of over $1,000! We politely declined and called Wimberley Plumbing. Jimmy was here within the hour and did the installation very quickly , professionally and was friendly. Their price was 1/4 of what we were quoted by the other company. We woke up to a small flood from our water heater. I called 4 different plumbers and never heard back. I reached out to "Next Door" chat forum and asked for a plumber. Wimberley plumbers came highly recommended. I called and followed with a text and received a text that said "we can help and will be there in just over an hour" I was at work and came home half believing they would show up... but 2 min after I got home... Be very careful using them. If they do a gas line job, and once you paid them, and there is a leak from their work, they won't come back it fix it. Even though they know they did the job wrong. My previous review was not that great (see below), BUT lately I have found out that they are just super busy. They have been working with us on a bathroom remodel and other work items. JD and Chris are both busy BUT they are keeping in touch with us often to help us out (and figure out what we needed, what works best, etc...). At no time has JD or Chris (and his crew) done bad work! They always do top notch work! THEY ARE Fast and quick and KNOW what they are doing! Its very hard to find excellent workers / experienced plumbers! PREVIOUS REVIEW.... Just like a previous review, the rates for current work has gone UP rather steeply! We had Chris out (like always) and he did great work but 400 dollars to install a water heater? seriously? we got the water heater to the house, he moved it in, connected the wires and water pipes in under an hour. It was a bit pricey. We have also called them a number of times (left messages) about more work that we need done and no call back. I guess they are super busy and dont need the work. Thats too bad because they have done great work for us in the past, but the price has gotten crazy high lately read more

I have used JD on many occasions and have been very happy. I had a sewer stoppage in the same spot as before. The guy he sent out wasn't sure what he was doing, wouldn't listen to where I told his the stoppage was at and waisted over an hour just looking. When said and done he charged me $453.75 when the same job never cost more than &129.00. On top of that he got grease all over the wall and outside of the tub. Instead of moving a small rug, he got grease on it and ruined it. When I made JD aware of this, he never replied, pretty sad. Sent him a bill for painting and a new rug and got a reply or phone call. If you use them, be cautious. He will treat you fairly and then, BOOM, screw you read more

To set the stage: we had a surprise slab leak on a Friday morning. Called 6 plumbers who were all booked out for weeks if not months. Wimberley plumbing was similarly busy, but they figured out a way to get someone out that same day! Chris was thorough, honest, and laid out all the options. In the end he was able to take a little extra time on our repair that caused more work for him, but would end up requiring less holes cut in our sheet rock to feed the new pipe through the attic. Which, would have cost us more to repair after the fact than the additional time it took him to do it right. He was able to get us water in the house that same day, and complete the entire project first thing the following week. Overall, I'm blown away by this type of service which is rare these days. Oh, and the fees were shockingly reasonable and fair! Do yourself a favor and look no further if you're needing an experienced group of plumbers to take care of you. read more

This is the second time that I contacted them for my own "emergency" and they showed up as fast as I could hope for. After evaluating what needed to be done and listening to our requirements, he gave us a realistic quote on the spot. Within a day or two, Chris came by and did a fantastic job not only to finish what was left half done but also doing it right the first time. The repair of a running hot water faucet that I couldn't turn off without turning off main line was underway before any other local plumbers had called back. They were prompt, communicated well and were reasonably priced. They definitely have good PR skills and seems eager to please. They sure did.
