I recently had an unfortunate situation, at my home, where I found my tank water heater, was leaking out of the bottom, into the overflow reservoir, and out the overflow pipe, into the yard, at a rather heavy rate. It was near emergency status, because if it gave way, and increased flow, it would have flooded part of my home and my garage. With this information in mind, I took to Yelp to get information and bids from licensed plumbers in my area, that could assist me ASAP. I was very clear in my request and stated that I would most likely need immediate service, even though it was a late Friday afternoon and upcoming weekend. I received notification immediately from Clear and Present Plumbing, and began messaging back in forth with David, the owner. He was very professional and thoughtful in his communication, and patient with my barrage of questions. I did receive other communication from some other local, and nationally recognized companies, while speaking with David, but their responses felt generic and not as genuine. I mentioned to David that several of my neighbors had used his services before, and mentioned the company on our Facebook neighborhood page, so I felt very comfortable doing business with them based off of that. We agreed on the time it would be done, and the set cost of the services. The pricing was extremely competitive, especially since I was receiving "after hours" service. David offered me several payment and financing options, as well, which was refreshing. I was advised that his licensed plumber Travis, would be reaching out to me at a specific time frame, on Saturday. Travis contacted me ahead of schedule and advised me he was on the way to complete my project. Travis arrived with a clean work vehicle, uniform, and positive attitude. He completed the work quickly, with competency and respect for my property. He tested that everything was working properly, and cleaned up after himself. Spoke with David(owner) last night and he had Ben, one of the plumbers come out to our home this morning to put in new shower fixture set. Ben was very professional and knows how to get the problem fixed. There was quite a bit of work to do, and he had things fixed in a very reasonable time. We had a water softener for the whole property, and two water heaters installed (one per house). The folks who did the work were unprofessional, and condescending. The price was acceptable, or we wouldn't have had it done, but I'd have been willing to pay more for professional service. I would not hire them again, nor would I recommend them. read more

Reached out to David early Monday morning about a clogged kitchen sink in a house which I had just purchased and moved into. He responded quickly with a quote and offered to fit me into the schedule that morning. The clog proved to be significantly worse than either of us expected, approximately three feet of hardened grease and garbage disposal debris that had accumulated in a dip in the line about 25' from the trap which he showed me through the camera feed. Despite having to work on it longer than anticipated, he honored the original quote. He even allowed me to watch on his camera feed as he cleared the final bit from the line and pushed it on down into the main feed. The quality of service was excellent and timely, plus they cleaned up after themselves leaving the kitchen almost exactly as they found it, minus the clogged sink. Reliable company with knowledgeable technicians. They showed up in less than 30 minutes and solved the issue on a weekend within 2 hours. My only complaint is that they left a huge hole and mess in my yard and driveway and I was to left to input a new irrigation box and clean everything. I was having a new shower built and needed a plumber. I started with a plumber I'd used previously but when the tile/bath installer came back, he commented on the issues he spotted with my new plumbing. I called my plumber who indicated that he could come back but it would be even more expense. I decided to start fresh. I am so glad I did. we have used this company in the past and found them to be reasonably priced cant say the same this last time we had the waste disposal under the sink replaced altou the tech came on time and did a excellant job the price at over $300 bucks seemed a little high the price quoted for the unit was about $110 the rest was labor. i checked in the hardware store where the unit was purchased and price was around$ 90 with discount for contractors making it $88and they install it for $103.. seems a little more for time than i was charged before and that was a* after hours job*. did not recognize the crew who came this time ,perhaps its who does the job as to how much you are charged,i give a lot of referalls for this company as to pricing might have to reconsider next time im asked... still good work so deserves a 3 read more

David of Clear and Present Plumbing came to work on my hot water heater that would not stay lit. After a quick inspection, he found rust where it shouldn't be. Instead of just replacing the assembly he took time to analyze the situation as to why the rust was there. The theory is the vent cap on the roof allows water to travel down the vent pipe during hard rains and put the flame out. He cleaned rust off a few parts, put them back in place. We will wait until the next blowing rain and see if the theory is correct. This has been an ongoing issue since the house was built. We appreciated that he didn't just replace the part and call it fixed. He is a professional young man and his bill was very reasonable. David came out for a free estimate to check out my drain line, which is suspect of leaking due to foundation sinking issues around the bathroom. While he didn't find anything, he didn't force any unnecessary services and appropriately recommended that I wait until after the foundation repair to further diagnose any plumbing issues as the repair may cause further damage to plumbing anyways. David will be the first plumber I call in the future! Update - I had David out again to run the camera inside the house after the foundation repair. If you need a good, honest, straight talking skilled plumber, get with David Richards and his team at Clear and Present Plumbing. I had a water leak in my yard and got on Yelp and looked up plumbers and sent out a request to several for quotes and availability through the Yelp app. I got 3 replies but David's was the first and most detailed, so I decided on him and his company. I finalized the appointment for Feb 9, 2018 through the Yelp app. David and his apprentice Brother James provided a courtesy text that they were in route to my home and arrived during the appointed time. I was very pleased. These guys wasted no time in getting started, finding the issue and proceeded to make the repairs all while keeping me informed of the repair progress. The issue was a bad elbow joint that broke from ground shift and root growth. David and James replaced this with a stronger 90 degree joint and encased in sand after removing the roots so the repair would hold and even provided a 1 year warranty on the fix. So it was better than ever now and the final cost of the fix was actually $25 less than the original guesstimate. I was beyond pleased. To top it off, David sent the detailed invoice by email and it had a link attached to make the payment easily with a multitude of payment methods which was super convenient. I am 70 yrs old & David Richards is absolutely the best plumber I have dealt with in my life. He is young & is trying to build his business the right way, courtesy , professional , thoughtful & dependable. Called himto fix a leak in our dishwasher. He responded to my call promptly & came within a few hours. He located the source of the leak and fixed it. He took his time & tested the repair. We thought it was fixed but two days later it started to leak again. He had told me that if it didnt work might need to replace the part but he would return for no charge but the part. He called & found out the part had to be ordered but wouldnt come in till day after I was leaving town. Got the part place to get a priority shipment for $ 55 plus the part was $ 50. He stated he woulf pay for the part if I paid shipping. Today he replaced the part & also found out water pressure was to high which may have attributed to the leak.
