We have been coming here for years, and not once have I been disappointed. The Food is amazing every time. The Service is excellent. It has a small family business feel and is super authentic. If you haven't had it, you're missing out!!

Pad See Ew with beef: 15+ years of ordering this and it is still the best in OC 10/10

I have been coming to Win Thai since I was a freshman in college. Now, 15 years later, they are still my absolute favorite. No other Thai restaurant that I have been to in OC has that highly sot after "wok hei" (smokey/bbq flavor imparted by the wok cooking vessel) flavor like Win Thai does. It is especially noticeable in their Pad See Ew but all their wok fired dishes have it and it is a glorious. After 15+ years none of their dishes have changed or lost flavor or portion sizes and the family that runs is still active, hard working, very sweet and very friendly. So is Win Thai a win? Or is it a tie? It's Thai for sure but you always win at Win Thai! -cringe- I'll see myself out.

We just ordered takeout and it was not good. 1. We asked for mild tom yum soup, and we were given really spicy 2. Our beef pad see ew was burnt 3. The mango sticky rice was...well, just look at the pic. Need to look for a different place.

This was $19 with tip for lunch. very mediocre Thai food. I would at least give more food for this price. Just to make a customer feel like coming back.

After visiting Disney, my husband and I were craving Thai food and this place hit the spot. It was a wonderful experience. We ordered chicken fried rice and chicken pad see ew. The food was yummy and came quickly!

I love how quick the service was! It was my first time at this spot and when I say I found a GEM, I mean it. The service was not only fast but they were super sweet too. The food was so delicious and the mago sticky rice was so so delicious too! Highly recommend.

I recall Win Thai when i use to come dine here when i was only 10 years old. Back than i lived in the apartment behind the restaurant plaza. Almost a little pass 30 years and it's still the same owner. Sweet thai lady and This time her daughter what seems like helps w the Restaurant. I wanted Thai food. Was in the area getting my dads car service. So we came here for lunch. Located right behind a car wash spot. A good amount of parking out front. The Restuarant is a simple restaurant. Not much decor. The service was friendly and we received our food in a timely manner. We were the only one dining there but during our dine in. There was about 2 other customers, picking up to go orders. What we ordered: ~Lad Nah w seafood. The noodles weren't too much. A smaller amount of portion. I'd suggest they add a bit more noodles though. The Gravy was good along with everything else. ~Beef Noodle Soup aka Boat Noodle Soup was decently good. I remembered this particular soup here use to be sooo delicious. It was ok, not the best I've had. But did hit the spot. The broth was a bit lighter flavoring. ~Thai tea was good. Not overly sweet and mixed perfectly w the half & half. The food we ordered did help fix our thai food cravings. 1.17.23

The restaurant only had 3 tables, 1 is a 2 top and the other 2 are pushed together to make 4 tops. When you enter you place your order with the cashier. Note on the menu their dishes do not include proteins, you have to add those as extra with an extra cost. We ordered the curry puffs since we read about them in the reviews. I ordered pad see ewe with broccoli on the side to give to my hubby. They use American broccoli here and not Chinese broccoli. Hubby ordered Pad Thai. We also wanted mango sticky rice but they were sold out for the day. We both ordered cups of water which were served in small plastic cups. Asked for lemon slices and received lime slices. The Sriracha and Soy sauce arrived in small packets and they brought us metal plates and silverware. Food came out in a decent amount of time. It's made to order so you do need to wait some. The restaurant was clean and not too noisy. The curry puff was a bit dry inside and not juicy at all. The crust was flaky and crispy and we enjoyed that. We came here at night so maybe if it was earlier in the day it would have tasted better? My Pad Se Ewe tasted good and I appreciated they were able to do the broccoli separately. My hubby liked his Pad Thai as well. The portion sizes were ok and we both finished our plates. If you plan on coming here during lunch or dinner time I imagine you will need to order it to go as it's so small inside. When we got there the first table was full, we took the middle tables and another party of 4 came in and took the last table. If we are in the area and it's not busy we will definitely return. However, if it's busy we will go elsewhere as we would not be able to sit and enjoy our meal there due to lack of seating.

Decided to go on one of the weekends after working out and this place is packed! Their price is super affordable, and their taste is authentic as well. You get to choose and build your own combo. It's like choose two or three items for your plate. They have handful selections of the curry and soup. I got their larb, mint chicken, catfish and Thai sausage. Everything's so good and we're all happy. They have a mini Thai Mart next-door. I grab one of the desserts because I was craving that one. Parking is hit or miss, limited space in a plaza, but the plaza is quite empty. things to notice that they don't really use their AC so it's pretty warm inside.

Unfortunately, hearing the staff make racist remarks about my friend changed my perception of this place. The staff should be more mindful about openly saying racist things in front of customers in their language. Just because I don't look SEA doesn't mean I don't speak or understand the language. I hope the staff are more mindful of what they say in front of customers in other languages and avoid making assumptions based on someone's appearance. I genuinely enjoy their food, but experiences like this make it difficult to recommend the restaurant without hesitation. My favorite dishes here are the nam khao tod and the saku sai moo, which only available at the steam table on weekends.

I almost always start with the papaya salad. Crispy, sour, and spicy. What more could you ask for? Just a heads up if you have a nut allergy since there are peanuts in it. For my entree, I get the seafood noodle soup with tom kha broth. I've had my fair share of tom kha in my lifetime, and this one is easily one of the best I've ever had. The portions are massive and absolutely loaded with seafood. 10 minutes in and the bowl still looks untouched. I order this every time I go now. I've also tried the Thai rice noodle tom yum soup, which packs a serious punch of salty, sour flavor. If I come with someone else, I make them order this one so I can have both. It was too sweet? With the broth having an overwhelming meat odor to it. The portion was large and the actual meats in the soup didn't have an odor but the broth was 1/5 unfortunately. I didn't see any reviews mention their crab rangoon burrito and this was what I was looking forward to most. This appetizer was pretty good! Very filling. They definitely don't skimp on the crab/cream cheese (it's very rich/thick, a bit too much for me personally) and the wonton layer is thin and crispy. The sauce they give is also good, a bit sweet. I think this is well executed overall and I could see why people would enjoy it. Ultimately the only things I'd ever reorder here are the drinks, namely the mango tea. The mango black tea and the coconut smoothie were both great drinks. The coconut smoothie is very creamy, but nice authentic coconut flavor.

Show up right at evening opening to even have a chance at getting a table without waiting 1-2 hours. Struggle to find parking. Order food and it kind of takes forever. While waiting for our food, we almost always start to wonder if it's all worth it. And then every time, once the food arrives, that conversation gets dropped. We always order the Manaao Pork Jowl and Khao Soi with braised beef. We also typically order a noodle dish as well. As always, their Khao Soi is fantastic. The flavor is deep and the curry is rich. The beef is always cooked until it falls apart between your chopsticks. The one we were a bit unsure about was why they started to serve the pork jowl with no sauce on the side. We feel like when we first started ordering the dish, the sauce was lightly drizzled on top and served on the side in a small ramekin. Now, all of the sauce comes on top of the pork which seems to have made the dish a bit colder and less crispy. Still, the flavor is dialed, perfectly sweet and tangy. Their noodles are also always fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned. This visit we decided to try a new curry, and went with the Chu Chee Curry with Fried Catfish. This dish blew us away. We were immediately surprised by the generous portion of catfish, which seemed to be a full fried filet. At first, I felt like the batter may have been too thick for my liking. It seemed to be so thick and fried that it would taste crunchy rather than crispy if that makes sense. However, once coated in the curry sauce and enjoyed with the rice, the textures work together perfectly to maintain the crisp of the fry on the fish, which was cooked just right. The curry was light, which meant it didn't overpower the subtle flavor of the fish. We also ordered dessert for the first time off of the recommendation of a friend to try the rice balls in coconut milk with coconut ice cream. The flavor was amazing, and the texture of the rice balls (think mochi but more soft and tender rather than chewy) was very pleasant alongside the crunchy bits of fried mung bean. Our only gripe was that even by the time the dish reached our table, the ice cream was mostly melted. If anything, I feel like serving them separately would help maintain the temperatures, and enjoying them together in that way could create a more satisfying contrast. As always, Manaao is our favorite Thai spot in Orange County. I definitely recommend.
