    Pad Thai

10/10 would recommend!!! Walked around for a bit trying to decide what to get and White Elephant had me convinced. Got the Pad Thai, chicken for my protein and spice level 3 and it was honestly pretty good! Not dry nor too spicy, I say it was the perfect medium. The dish blended everything well together and my dish was gone before I knew it. I do love how they make it a point to caution that this is Asian spice, not your typical spice level that you'd see at any American fast food chains or restaurants. It was pretty funny and refreshing to see.

Pad Thai w/ Chicken (Level 3 Spicy). Chicken is a little too dry for my liking, but still enjoyed the dish & it had a nice spicy kick.

The menu has classic and modern twist dishes. And if I'm being honest, the classic dishes were more appealing, only because I can't help but gravitate towards the familiar. Maybe it's because I've aged. Whatever, I'm 95% okay with it. THE FOOD. - Pad Thai with Chicken (Level 3 Spicy) | Chicken is a little too dry for my liking, but I still enjoyed the dish and it had a nice spicy kick to it. - Pad See Ew with Beef (Not Spicy) | Now we're talking! Cubed steak, savory soft noodles, crunchy broccoli. Highly recommend. THE PARKING. Your best bet with parking is getting there early to snag one of the spots close to the main Packing House entrance. Or, park a few blocks away and walk over. There's free shuttle rides too. COMING BACK? I like Thai food, therefore, I will come back.

I finally went to Anaheim Packing District for the first time and got decision paralysis from all the amazing food options in the building! Eventually, I opted for White Elephant, which has a comprehensive Thai menu itself. I got the Tumeric Grilled Chicken and an order of fried dumplings. I was so pleased with the amount of food! It took a little bit for it to come out, but it was worth the wait. I was able to eat my lunch inside the gorgeous Packing District atrium. Parking is surprisingly challenging for the food hall, but street parking is usually available.

A little overpriced in my opinion, it was around 18 dollars, It is kinda hidden in the corner of the packing district so hard to spot. But there is seating all around so still a good place to try. The food was okay, big sizes though!

One of many trips to my favorite food haul! I love the Anaheim Packing House! There's so many options to choose from, and majority of the time, the food is great. Parking: Their parking lot is small/med size. Parking will be most difficult on weekends, and very easy on weekdays. There are also some street parking, but beware of towing. I noticed they only offer valet parking on the weekends. I valet parked my vehicle once for about $7-10 (including tip; most likely increased). But I don't even bother trying to find parking in their lot or valet anymore. I only park in the large structure on the corner of Anaheim Blvd & Broadway then walk over. It's free 2 hour visitor parking and less stress. Ambiance/Environment: White Elephant is located on the top level, to the left when you walk in. They have very small seating in front of their location. Service: Our cashier was quick and efficient. Throughput was under 10 minutes. Both the cashier and the cook who handed us our order made small conversation with us, and they were funny. Food: I ordered the Pad See Ew with steak. I thought the portion size is medium/large. It wasn't too salty, filled with flavors, and definitely savory. They cut the steak into tiny bite sizes, and they also cut the noodles also. I'd prefer a bit more steak and broccoli, but overall this dish was a 4/5. Pricing: Prices are $$$ more than average. Majority of their main dishes were $19+. Considering their location, I'm not surprised. But yes, they're very pricey.

Amazing staff! Soooo friendly! Love it!

This place is the best Thai food in Anaheim! The pad see ew was Amazing with full of flavor and sooo addictive! I wanted to eat more and more! The staff were sooo friendly and welcoming! The ambiance is beautiful cause it is inside the Anaheim Packing house, so spacious and kids friendly! We also tried the Thai tea and it was perfectly made! I will definitely come back again!

I really enjoyed coming to the Anaheim packing house. It was my first time here and I will say it certainly won't be my last! There are so many restaurants and things to look at here, as well as nice backgrounds for photo opportunities. I decided to get items from many different restaurants inside and one of my favorite has to be the pad Thai from White Elephant. The chicken pad Thai is remarkable, you can choose which protein you would like and is really great. I also got a Thai milk tea which was absolutely delicious. The pad Thai also comes with the peanuts on the side and it is extremely fresh. There are many people ordering, so it does take about 20 minutes to get your order but it is definitely worth it as everything is made fresh to order. The person who took our order was very nice. It is located in a pretty busy corridor of the packing house, so be mindful of that. There are tables available right next to it, but an available one may be hard to come by. The atmosphere in this place is unlike any other, and I definitely recommend going if you haven't already.

Excellent "spicy" pad Thai that keeps on demanding entry to your mouth. Not sure how to rate their service as it's more of a takeout experience where they call your name when the food is ready, and same applies for the ambiance as tables and dining area (food court style) were not maintained to the standards where regular restaurants would.

Inside the Anaheim packing district I stumbled across a little food stamp, called the white elephant. I'm going to tell you that this restaurant has the best sesame seed, salmon with sticky rice and spinach salad. I couldn't get enough of how flavorful this dish was. I didn't take pictures of what the food looked like before. I started tell you my flight was empty. The service was exceptional - marked by friendliness, professionalism, and immaculate cleanliness.

Skip Wait was 30 minutes for the food and there didn't seem to be a system of any sort. I think there were also online orders being placed as well so the wait can be especially deceiving on the weekends. The "medium" pad Thai I got was more like 7/10 spicy so beware. It tasted fine as I tried to get past the scorching heat, both temperature and spiciness but for $20? Hard pass. If you want good Thai food I'd recommend just going to a proper restaurant than a chaotic togo packing house. Food: 5/10 Service: 3/10 Atmosphere: 4/10 Value: 3/10

I came by the Anaheim Packing District for lunch recently and I decided to stop by White Elephant to give it a try! They have your traditional thai dishes like pad see ew & drunken noodles but they also have unique proteins like coconut milk fried chicken & crying tiger steak! I ordered the Honey Pork Belly($19): Crispy pieces of pork belly served with fried garlic with a little bit of sweetness from the honey. The pork belly was delicious and not dry at all and was quite flavorful! I got the arugula bae salad with it and it was a refreshing side to have against the richness of the pork belly. The jasmine rice was also good. Portion size was decent even though the price is a little bit high for me but I got a good amount of meat in my box! For my drink, I got the Ube Thai coffee($5.25) to wake me up a little bit. It was creamy and gave me the energy I needed. You could taste the ube flavor and it wasn't overpowered by the coffee itself! Service here was good with the owner chatting with customers and myself and I loved her personality! Come check out White Elephant if you are in the mood for some delicious Thai food!

Solid spot in the packing district! A bit on the expensive side, but the food was so flavorful and the portion was generous. I ordered the basil puffy tofu with rice and greens, and the texture was perfect. The sauce it came with was sweet and tangy, and made for a great flavor.

This Thai spot in Tustin, Manaao Thai Comfort Food, had been on my foodie list for a while ever…read moresince it opened in 2023. Not long after opening, it was featured by the LA Times / Daily Pilot, and then quickly blew up on TikTok and IG foodie circles across OC. Dinner starts at 4:30 PM, and we arrived around 4:10. Even then, people were already waiting in their cars. We walked around the plaza for a bit, but when we came back at 4:28, a line had already formed outside. They use a Yelp waitlist kiosk at the entrance, and we were already the third party in line. The restaurant has around 25+ tables, and within minutes of opening, the place filled up fast. By the time our first dish arrived, the line outside was packed. Definitely glad we came early, this place gets busy FAST. We ordered: 1. Khao Soi Noodle $28 One of the LA Times' "Best Dishes of 2023," and honestly the standout of the night. The rich yellow curry broth with coconut milk had a nice spicy kick without being overly salty. It came with crispy noodles on top, softer noodles underneath, plus crispy soft-shell crab that added great texture. The lime and diced onions on the side helped brighten everything up too. Very flavorful and worth trying, although $28 still feels a little pricey. 2. Gaeng Som (Thai Sour Curry Fish Soup) $28 A mildly sour and spicy curry fish soup with crispy fish, green papaya, daikon, carrots, and long beans. The flavor actually reminded me a bit of Korean spicy fish stew, but with stronger sourness and herbal notes. Great with rice, though again, the price feels high for the portion. 3. Thai Hainan Chicken Rice $18 This was probably the weakest dish we ordered. The chicken was very soft but lacked flavor, and the soup was pretty bland. Honestly, I prefer the Vietnamese-style chicken rice in Little Saigon more. The rice itself paired nicely with the stronger curry dishes though. 4. Thai Milk Tea $6 Less sweet than most Thai restaurants, which I really appreciated. Much more balanced and not overly sugary. Overall, Manaao feels more authentic and regional compared to many Americanized Thai restaurants in OC. The menu goes beyond the usual Pad Thai staples, and the flavors definitely have more depth. That said, prices are on the higher side, and portions aren't huge. Three dishes can easily run over $70. Still, I can see why this place became so popular. The owner apparently used to work as a web developer before starting to cook hometown Thai dishes during the pandemic, eventually opening Manaao with his wife to focus on authentic Thai comfort food. They're already expanding to Irvine Spectrum near Din Tai Fung. Out of everything we tried, the Khao Soi was definitely the must-order dish for me. Would I wait an hour for it though? Personally... probably not! Manaao Thai Comfort Food 13842 Newport Ave Unit F, Tustin, CA 92780
