    Veggie sandwich on garlic bagel
    Lawanda F.

I used to go there, regularly, to purchase donuts for coworkers and employees. Then we graduated to the breakfast combos; you get a sandwich or breakfast bowl or burrito with a donut and coffee. The coffee is usually hot and fresh. I then discovered the garlic bagel, which is wonderful toasted with cream cheese but then add Veggie toppings was just brilliant. Everything blended just right. yes, I was greedy enough to want two but did stick to one It's a wonderful combo.

For Halloween we purchased a dozen assorted doughnuts from Winchell's. We were having a get together and this was perfect to share with the group. I love how the doughnuts were decorated and I ended up grabbing a Chocolate doughnut that had candy corns on top of it. It was fresh and delicious and Winchell's never fails on providing quality food and drinks.

Easily one of the best winchells I've been to. The man who helped me today at 1:30 in the morning was super nice and quick. It's clean and smells so delicious in there! I'll probably be back very soon after another late night at work, it's great because they're open 24/7!

    Carnitas torta

While waiting for my car brake job at nearby Midas (see my review of Midas) I decided to grab a bite as it would take at least 2 hours (took 3). I walked into what was surprisingly a Winchell's donut shop because they also had sandwiches. Surprisingly too because I'm old enough to remember Winchell's Donut shops at every other corner and now they're like an extinct dinosaur lol. Anyway apart from donuts, they had a good selection of tortas or sandwiches. Since it was lunch time, I opted for the carnitas torta and a root beer. The carnitas was pretty good. A refill cost 50 cents. What was quite unusual was that there was no big outdoor shop sign you'd find at any restaurant proudly announcing their presence. There was only a small door sign of Winchell's as if it was an afterthought. Quite strange. The interior was rather gloomy too. The food was good but the place is not inviting unfortunately.

LOVE this place! They have bagel sandwiches in addition to donuts and that's definitely my favorite part. I've been getting a bacon egg and cheese on a spinach parmesan bagel and they make it right there while I'm waiting. I LOVE that it's so fresh! They have an incredible selection of both donuts and bagels and SO much more. The food is delicious and the staff is so kind and efficient. I've been 2 days in a row!

Fresh donuts. Good bagels. Clean. Fast service. Not crowded. Parking lot is shared but big.

Breakfast bagels are decent except they always mess up my order lol - poppyseed bagel instead of onion. Asked for no onions except - onions... oh and if you want cream cheese it's 1.49 extra - WTF. Isn't that part of the bagel experience? Just charge me 3 bucks instead of an add on cream cheese bulls**t upsell. Pro tip: go to Ralph's instead. Cream cheese comes in little packets and it's free with their bagle Update 2: the saddest Blt to ever exist. Look at that generous portion of bacon

Super inexpensive and super tasty donuts. We got half dozen small and regular sized donuts and they were delicious. I wish i had tried their drinks which looked awesome on the menu

Half dozen box is kinda cute.

The donuts are usually good. Fresh batches are super yum. The service has been inconsistent for a while now. Sometimes they're prototypical behind the counter, other times you're waiting for someone to wander into view for assistance. The selection, on paper, is diverse but the availability is unpredictable. In my opinion, you should avoid operating with mostly empty trays--especially if you're open 24 hours a day. I'll still go here though because there's nowhere else in town that can match the convenience. It can feel scary late at night, so make your donut run with a friend or two.

    If you're hungry, they lit!

All I can say is wow. Genuinely the most beautiful latte art I've seen in my life!!! You can tell how well they steam their milk because the consistency was perfect. The foam was stable, and the art didn't immediately dissolve or lose its shape when I picked up the cup. The barista's level of precision and control was seriously impressive , my goodnesssss The hot espresso by itself was yum too. The espresso had floral notes with hints of citrus and fruit coming through, and it's a really enjoyable cup even by itself. I also ordered the chaggachino. It was on the sweeter side for me (I don't like my drinks too sweet), but still very delicious. Creamy, rich, and comforting without completely overpowering the coffee flavors underneath. We also got the ham and cheese croissant, which was nicely warm, buttery and crisp on the outside and good proportion of cheese and ham. I visit a lot of coffee shops, so it does take quite a bit to impress me, but this place absolutely wowed me.... Between the coffee quality and the latte art, I really loved it here!! I can see why there's always a line for Nook.

The space is one of the highlights. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to hang out, work, or catch up with friends. The Wi-Fi was solid, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and lively. The staff were also incredibly friendly throughout our visit. Mai specializes in Vietnamese coffee and matcha drinks, along with a selection of baked goods. My recommendation is to stick with what they do best: coffee and matcha. If you're a fan of dark roast coffee with a strong, bold flavor, you'll probably love their drinks. I tried the Banana Coffee, which was excellent and easily my favorite item of the visit. I also ordered the Mochi Mango drink, which unfortunately wasn't for me. I'd give it about a 2.5/5. The mochi texture felt off, and the mango flavor tasted more like syrup than real mango. That said, I'm comparing it to a version I've had at another boba shop that I personally enjoyed more. Overall, Mai Coffee is a great local hangout with plenty of space, reliable internet, friendly service, and strong Vietnamese coffee. I'd definitely come back for the coffee and to spend some time working or relaxing.

The cortado was smooth and very spot on. I'd recommend it to anyone. Pastries were very delicious, muffins were full of nuts not just on top but in every bite and they come from an amazing nonprofit organization. That Bánh mì sandwich had a bread that tasted so fresh, good-quality, soft inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. Spanish latte was just okay for me; I wasn't a huge fan of the syrup they used, and it didn't have any cinnamon (not sure if I needed to ask for it). Customer service: It did take a little while to get served and get my order down but totally worth the wait. Most busy places would notice you and say, we will be with you in a minute, but here I had two girl in the back notice me and kept working on drinks and other kept cleaning, Shoutout to Ethan who was an awesome barista who saw me and had great customer service. Overall though, this place checks so many boxes we'll definitely be back.

The Thai tea was nicely balanced and not overly sweet, and the Jasmine tea was fragrant, thick, and perfect at 50% sweetness. The matcha latte was the best drink here for me: earthy, not sweet at all, and with a subtle nuttiness that made it so satisfying. The only miss was the strawberry taro, which leaned too sweet for my taste. Overall, a beautifully designed shop with some truly great drinks.

That said, it's good enough for a place to go when you're on somewhat of a budget. The Dubai Chocolate Frappe was a semi-let down because the advertisement photo looked like it had a lot of chocolate. When I got my order, my first reaction was..."is that it?" The first several sips lacked the chocolate flavor I was anticipating but it was a fairly decent drink. It definitely would have been better with more chocolate as advertised. The Beef Teriyaki Bowl was a generous size; again, it was good enough. The TTEK-BOKKI (Korean Spicy Rice Cake) was extremely filling especially with cheese (which was a $3 up charge). Not sure I'd get this one again if I came back because the price point and the quality just didn't match. Parking is easy and free since it's in a complex with a now abandoned Rite-Aid. Even so, I'm not completely sure I'd come back since this place is small and the setup seems so cramped. It lacked the vibe I thought it would have based on social media posts. The staff could use a bit more energy and enthusiasm like other spots that offer similar items.

We understood that we came in pretty late and close to closing, but we weren't planning on dining in, we just wanted to get 3 drinks and 1 food item to go. As soon as we walk in, we received with "we're closed for dining" which all three of us said okay, got it. As we took a look at the menu to figure out what we had wanted, we were met with annoyed stares and sighs as they watched us. This interaction in its full entirety lasted about 10 minutes from walk-in, to waiting, and leaving. It was a pretty uncomfortable situation, and kind of disappointing, as the girls making the drinks not only rolled their eyes and let out sighs while simply making our drinks, messing up one of them up and saying "oh well" and continued to make faces. Which is fine, I didn't ask for it be remade since I didn't want to further interact with the women during this closing shift in this establishment as to not want to feel anymore uncomfortable as we had been with the treatment from the staff. Along with the service not being the greatest, the food item we had ordered Pad See Ew, ended up containing quite a few pieces of meat that we weren't anticipating, considering one of us doesn't eat meat, it unfortunately caused pretty bad stomach issues. We hope that maybe we had just caught an off day with the staff and this isn't the usual service, but as it was our first time at this establishment, it will more than likely be our last.
