The young lady that was serving us was very very rude. She had a look on her face that you could tell she was not happy that we came in. We came in at 525pm and they close at 6pm. Aroma hits you when you walk in - better than anywhere else. Donuts are fantastic, better than any other place I've been. I've been to several DD places - they can't hold a candle to this one place - and they don't even try. Those other guys serve stale crap. Winchell's serves fresh donuts. I have been here numerous times for their donuts which are good. I came here recently to try one of their breakfast sandwiches because I noticed how good they looked. It wasn't when I got it. They put microwavable bacon on it and no offense but if you can make fresh donuts, then why can't you get fresh bacon? The eggs were not fresh either. Considering the price, you think you'd get fresh... there are so many places that serve breakfast sandwiches with fresh ingredients at at same cost so it's weird to me.. The bagel was stale and boring. This place has decent donuts but I don't think I will be bothering with the sandwiches again. read more

This was our first encounter with the Winchell's Donut House in Greeley; we were not impressed. The location is on the corner and has a small parking lot for the business. The display of doughnuts was attractive when we walked in and the regulars were quietly munching on their sugar. I selected an old-fashioned style and my wife got the cake doughnut with sprinkles. The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful for our very short interaction. After we left and began to eat, mine was OBVIOUSLY a day-old doughnut. I regularly get old-fashioned doughnuts and I know how they should taste. This one was dry and hard. The cake doughnut my wife had was very fresh, but unimpressive. The doughnuts here are average at best. I enjoy a good doughnut on occasion. In this case, there are many other great options for doughnuts and you should probably choose them instead. read more

I also thought they would be good considering how much they charge for them. I got one with bacon on it and come to find out, they use microwavable bacon...or whatever it was. Gross. Why would this place charge almost $7 for a sandwich that doesn't even have real bacon on it... real bacon doesn't take that long to cook and at the price they're charging, it shouldn't be expensive supply... the egg and other ingredients didn't seem fresh either.
