It's 24/7!!!! Can't believe we literally drove all the way close to midnight just for the donut cravings. It's around 11pm, we are the only customers but the inventory is no joke with all the varieties. We were very confused and thought it's $14 for a dozen. But it really means if you get a dozen, there will be 14 dozens. There's no price difference. All donuts are same price when you do half dozen $14ish or 14 donuts $22ish. I had an amazing experience at this Winchell's location. I oversee a company with 6 locations, and decided this day to get everyone in all my stores some donuts. Of course, Winchell's is the agree upon fave of everyone. So I stopped in to get a LOT of donuts for a whole bunch of people. I assumed two things would happen: 1- the staff would be annoyed that I'm ordering so much. 2- the wait time would be very long. BUT... To my surprise, neither of those assumptions were true! Yes, this is a chain donut spot and I should be supporting mom/pop shops around the valley. But honestly, I love Winchell's donuts; more so than all the other chain donut shops. I'm a purist when it comes to donuts. I hate all the fancy shmancy bs that's on donuts these days. I enjoy the classic glazed and sometimes the occasional chocolate dipped donut. Came here twice in the past few weeks to get donuts for my kids and both times I walked out. The reason I walked out is because they don't use no glove here to grab your donuts they use little wax paper and touch the box with bare hands lucky both times there was A person in front of me getting donuts before me so I could see what's going on before I order and both time I seen this and walked out. Winchell's has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I always loved the cake donuts and my favorite was the sprinkle one. When Leo is there it's like I'm reliving my childhood! He works so hard makes fresh donuts all night. So usually I make sure I to come in during his shift. Unfortunately, I had to come in a little earlier and there was another gentleman there. I won't say his name because the following isn't going to be complimentary. There were only a few donuts left and the young man said he was "out" of everything. He had his phone in his hand the ENTIRE Time i was there. I finally chose a dozen of the remaining sad looking donuts. When I got to my car-I snuck a quick bite of a beloved white sprinkle donuts and immediately spit it out! It was dry and stale and I knew it was sitting there forever! I was so mad! I returned a while later when I knew Leo was there. He was busy making fresh donuts and with a smile. I told him about what happened and he apologized profusely. He expressed that he had been getting complaints every time he came in at night. It seems that NO ONE else is making donuts all day except Leo at night. This place deserves zero stars. Worst customer service I've ever had. The girl that works the front doesn't speak English and has to keep calling the guy making the food in the back to come translate. I order two donuts for my son and ask for the $5.49 special, two donuts and a drink. I asked to upgrade the drink to a blended drink and pay the difference, he says he can't do that. So I pay for everything separately. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich combo. I say there for 15 minus waiting for my sandwich and when I go all about my sandwich, they had forgotten it in the microwave the whole time. Didn't offer to a fresh sandwich, just took it out of the microwave and it to me. My son drops his lemonade on the floor be accident and the lemonade spills. I let them know apologize ask if I can another cup since cup was the floor and is covered in lemonade. He said you can go refill it. I told him i can't it's dirty.
