This is the cleaniest Winco I've been too the staff is very friendly, It wasn't crowded, I went around 5:30pm.

Hands down the best fried chicken in the state. Ultra cheap and almost always fresh. If it's not fresh they always offer to cook more and its a simple 20 minutes wait while your shopping. A huge family meal of mixed white/dark meat is only 20$!!! And the chicken is huge pieces. Monster chicken breasts!. They have fantastic deli salads in the refrigerator island by the chicken and they are only 3.88$ each! All different kinds freshly made. I get the crispy chicken Cobb with slices of fresh white meat chicken tender and hard boiled egg and bacon and blue cheese. A salad like that is 15$ at a restaurant! But here its 3.88$ INSANE??? Honestly the money you can save on GOOD QUALITY easy dinners here is unbelievable. A marketing here for 200$ is 400$ at a Vons. Employees here are amazing and kind and always welcoming. This store has been very responsible during covid and it's also well appreciated. The only thing I think they could improve upon is more frequent bathroom cleanings because with so many customers using it. It can get messy here and there. 100% no better market though. read more

Visited 4/29/2019 This was my first visit to a Winco Foods. It was a very pleasant experience. The variety throughout the store was amazing. The meat department was fantastic with fantastic prices. I wish I had one of these closer to my home. We stocked up a bunch of chicken and ground beef and a considerable discount from what stater brothers charges. I will be shopping at one of these somewhere again in the near future. It's definitely worth checking out. read more

I'm still a loyal customer at Winco Indio. Although it's far more crowded in the area since I began shopping there, I have come to know the best times to shop. I'd like to thank Randy for keeping the store very clean and Dameon for stocking produce and maintaining a tidy organized department. This is probably the best grocery store in the area, if you're shopping and have the chance to go here. The selection is very good and it's quite a large store. The prices are very good, probably the lowest amongst all the grocery chains and yet the quality of the food is very good. Pack a lunch box and get ready to spend some time getting good deals here! My second time in the store and several hundred $'s later and I can say it's worth the trip. It's awkward to shop in that the aisles don't exactly flow well. The aisles are freaking long! My man! The prices rock. I got Cracker Barrel ham in deli for around $2.59/lb! The meat department has a good selection of Spanish cuts and other cuts as well. Fruits and vegetables were fresh and low priced. I plan on getting my dog food here next time we need it. They have a good selection and even had a brand that had sea weed in it. The employees seem happy enough, but a little harried and overworked. Perhaps they are short staffed. A grocery store that is open 24 hours... Late night cravings will be satisfied! Being a big store, I would expect winco to have many different types of groceries and food but every time I need something specifically to make chinese food, they don't have that so I would recommend them increasing their "oriental" section. The produce here are really fresh and they have many great selections for bulk foods. I always buy my blueberry muffin mix in bulk as winco have their own recipe and they come out absolutely delicious. Living in the valley, Winco is my first go to location for my grocery needs -- they are an employee owned corporation as well which is very cool. The employees here are always so friendly as well! This store is a great store! It is clean, well stocked with good variety, reasonable prices, easy to navigate and very well managed. The employees go out of their way to help the customer. They know where items are located and remember you when you return. The manager is visible on the floor and knows what is needed to make this store a success. This is my go-to stop for snacks on trips to/from So Cal. You can't go wrong with the prices and selection of items. They even have a pizzeria inside that offers pizza by the slice. Picture it as like a Costco only without the annual fees and single containers rather than all bulk packs. Winco has grown to be my preferred grocery store. Hundreds of options to buy in bulk, such as: candy, flour, nuts, and pasta. Great when I want to try something new but don't want to commit to more than a pound at a time. I also find their fruits and veggies to be the cheapest around. I'd come here all the time, it's nearby my home It's convenient. However I have on multiple occasions received spoiled produce and veggies from this place. Their broccoli once made me sick. Received spoiled Brussels sprouts. I currently have a stomach ache as I'm typing this. I even saw spinach that was being sold which had the current today's date as an expiration date. Seems like they sell produce that only last about 3 days tops They're suitable when it comes to exchanging/refunds But it's an inconvenience driving back in forth Just to exchange an item that's about $3 It's not worth my time, gas, and money to do so. it should be fresh to begin with. Other then that the store is great they just need to work on their freshness :( If this continues I'm going to have to go to another grocery store. The workers at the self check out registers (all of the girls) are very judgmental! They don't seem to acknowledge when I am leaving the store. I tend to come here whenever I get out of the gym and wearing gym attire. They always give me weird looks and never say goodnight or have a great day sir. Yet on the other hand, acknowledge any other person that passes after me or before me. I recently stopped shopping here because of these common occurrences. At first I tried to ignore and just make up excuses for these girls. But I've came to the conclusion that it's them, not me. I don't give them mean or weird looks. To whoever's reading this I had a wonderful Winco experience I was washing my dog in my car outside winco but I had my winco open and he jumped out he started doing the griddy he running while doing the griddy. A winco employee saw me chasing my dog and tackled my dog luckily he was a trained dog whisperer and calmed my dog and even more luckily he had a leash in his pocket then he walked my dog around the parking lot for 15 minutes then he took him to Starbucks to get a pupachino he then said his farewells when I got back I released that he no longer blind what a miracle!! read more

their produce is always really bad, the onions are always mushy and bruised, the cilantro is always wilted, nothing is ever fresh. the meats literally have to be ate within a couple hours of buying. nothing seems to be fresh there. its like an inflated grocery outlet. if youre looking to buy groceries for your family for a week, i suggest shopping here twice a week as the food is already going bad on the shelf and will not hold up in your pantry. an entire shelf of sausage marked to go out the day i buy it, come in the next day and it looks like the same packaging only with the stickers pulled off.. ive tried calling and speaking to a manager and its always the same person answering the phone telling you to call back later there isn't a manager in today. read more

I'm about to present an oxymoron to you... Winco Foods is located in a safe part of Indio. It's also open 24-hours, so the safety issue is key. I thought it ironic that it shares the same shopping center space as 24-Hour Fitness. This is bargain priced food folks. Don't pretend you don't know what Winco is about...well unless you're from LA or SD. If you're in the need of a cheap lunch you can find it here. They sell pre-made sandwiches for under $2 complete with condiments. Salads run for less than $4. Yes, you're getting what you pay for, but the quality isn't as bad as you'd think. Winco is winning with these high rated reviews! It's probably because they deserve it haha Like all Winco's they're 24hrs/7days a week grocery stores! This alone helps insomniacs be productive at night...not saying I am one, but I have been here quite a few times after midnight haha They have plenty of parking and located in a bustling shopping district. They're always clean and organized. The employees here are friendly, especially after midnight. They have huge bins to scoop up generic products of the brand name items way cheaper in the back left corner. They have a bakery in here as well. I believe they have the lowest pricing in the desert and they will have signs posted of their competitors' prices. Lines always seem super short here. And yes they sell a wide variety of refrigerated beer for those of you looking to restock before that 2am cutoff! Overall, 5stars because this Winco goes above the standard of a typical grocery store. I can't think of anytime where I had bad service or bad food.
